British Airways London Eye Review

Worth a visit at least once but I couldn't affords repeat visit myself.
I went with a group of school children so the school paid for me.
A photo taken and could be bought at the shop...at quite a price.
None of the children had enough money to buy one which was a shame.
The children enjoyed the experience, as did I it's just a shame about the price.

We didn t have a wait time. The busses are a bit old. They don t have a map inside for what you are seeing but it does give a pretty good view of the palace, Hyde park and the Thames.

I recommend spending the extra money to get the fast pass. Arrive at your scheduled time and you will be soon on your way to board the pod.

I was on my sure vacation in 2014 and there for the first time I visited London and top. And while having a city tour I came across this amazing place called the official London Eye. I along with my family went inside the capsule. I started my small round in the capsule. As the capsule was going us I started to see London from top and every single elevation was giving me a beautiful picturesque view of London. Overall that round was just amazing. You get to see such a beautiful view of London I wanted to take another round. It was very well guided round , there were PA system to tell you what are you seeing . There was a small screen where you get a lot on knowledge about the place you are seeing. And at the end there was camera installed which was taking a picture and which you could get it in their souvenir shop. That was a brilliant was of marketing. Loved it . One should never miss this when you are on London tour. Amazing brilliant !!!!

Shines lovely at night!! Recommend going at night when you can see the changing colors.

Breath taking. Too bad the Big Ben was still under renovation. But it was a great desicion to have spent the golden hour there.

The capsules are very stylish and spacious. Top views of this observation wheel are stunning, too. In overall, this is a great experience in London, albeit a long waiting list. The only downside and my only complaint is that I wish it stood higher, planning permission and building regulations permitting!

London Eye is a great experience where you will experience seeing all of London. Nice view. The trip takes about 30 minutes. May be a bit wise to buy with more excursions such as London Dungeon and London Aquarium.

This was nice and fun. The line was long but moved well. Views were good. They have a fast pass option which allows others in front of you for 10 pounds more each. Seemed smaller than high roller in Vegas.

The London eye is must visit tourist attractions in London. The view of the London City is just amazing and thrilling. The ride lasts about 30 minutes. But do expect long waiting queue to get the ride.

Always a great view from the London Eye. Unfortunately they were doing maintenance on Big Ben (obviously not the Eye's fault) so we didn't get to see that in full. It was a bit confusing trying to find the ticket place and where to stand since the area was so busy.

While booking this trip to London, a friend recommended me to get a ticked to ride at the London Eye. I had no idea about this gigantic 3 dimensional wheel until I got there. At first I was a little scared because each capsule is made of glass, so you have a 360 view of London. "Warning" This is not a ride for people who are claustrophobic or fear heights. If you are okay about being on o glass capsule at a pretty decent height, this ride is beyond perfect for picture taking.

The cost of the ride is pretty reasonable and there is plenty of time for you to capture outstanding images of the most iconic buildings around the London Eye and the boulevard.

Some photos attached on this review correspond to the boulevard area. There are skateboarding areas, food trucks and stores where you can enjoy a walk to remember.

Champagne Experience (Eye Lounge V.I.P.) This was a Complete Suprise for my Wife, who thought we were going to be doing the Christmas Lights, and hadn't realised that it was Actually going to be looking at London by Night ( From the London Eye)... Personally, I couldn't recommend This Experience ENOUGH..... Highly recommend it , Very polite and Courteous Staff, Superb Cocktails, and More Champagne, from your Host as you complete the Eye Experience..... very, Very Happy.......Perfect night for this as well..... Tickets were well worth it. The line moved quickly as the eye constantly moves. You'll have 360 views of London - the Shard, bridges, big ben, parliament, and everything else. I highly suggest taking a ride up this icon.

A nice view and unique experience, however the lines are exceptionally long. I think the views were nice but I was left questioning if it had really been worth it to pay and then wait as long as we did.

This is a famous Landmark that is located in the heart of London. Of you were to see it from afar it looks like a massive white Ferris wheel (like we all know and love from our funfair experiences). It is a ride but it is a viewing platform for the whole family.

Instead of riding in a little open top seat you enter into a large enclosed, glass capsule that can hold at least 20 people or more. Once in the capsule the site close to ensure the passengers safety, then the capsule start to move very slowly around as the Gatos wheel turns slower than a person walks. It's so safe and turns so slowly that young children can go on it.

Once in the London eye capsule you will turn ever so slowly that it's hard to get any sensation of movement. This is brilliant for taking pictures of the panoramic views of the London skyline, day or night)

Wow, very impressive. This is an absolute must for any traveler to London. Impressive 360 degree views. Looking forward to doing it again when I visit next. Highly recommend.

The London Eye is a must see and do when visiting London! The view is incredible especially at night! Keeping in mind this is a popular attraction I would advise booking ahead and choosing your time of visit carefully. Walks along the river bank in this area is also quite nice. There are often talented musicians playing along the riverside making the view all the more enjoyable. Good family area. Take a stroll there.

You have to stand on the left side of the box,then you can see the Buckingham palace and other significant building in London.AC system is efficiency inside the box. Excellent .

One of my favorite London tourist attractions. Everytime I'm in London I reserve some time for a ride it's like you have to get at least two one in the morning and one in the evening. Views are stunning.

Nice area too visit... Crowded as usual... Good activities down the road. Be careful of those playing on the street by three cups and doubles your money if u choose the right cup. They are a gang ;)

Big viewing area all around ! Even with the amount of people on the ride with you, I never felt like I couldn't see anything. It was wonderful the views and the ride is longer than I thought! Plenty of time to take lots of photos from every direction. There is also seating inside if you don't want to stand the entire time. The lineup is long of course but moved quicker than expected.

A must see in London! Book your tickets in advance and skip the queues. I m very scared of heights but all very secure and sitting room in the middle.

Great view even in a rainy day. The queue moved quickly too. It was really windy but I could not feel any additional movement. Great fun for all the family.

The London Eye is fun if you want to see a top tour of London. I have been up it twice now, once in daylight the other at night. I much prefered the time at night. The city lights were gorgeous and lit up London beautifully for photos, but both times were nice though.

Really fast experience, but the view it s worth it. There is also a free 4D experience included with standard tickets that is really nice. What I didn t like is that they try to sell everything to you no matter what.

London Eye is worth visiting once. The capsule is big enough for all to move around freely to enjoy the views while taking some nice photos. It moves very slowly so you would not feel anything exciting except that you keep going high as your capsule rises above and comes down. If you are taking pictures all the time you might miss enjoying the ride.

The view is amazing, the queue not so much but well worth the visit.

Experience London from the air over the Thames - plenty of space on board to photograph or just enjoy the trip around which takes about 30 minutes. The ticket purchased from home does not make the queue faster, so calculate extra patience to stand in line. The trip itself is worth five stars. The handling of the queue gets a few stars

Wow try "fast track" to get on here. Way better than standing in massive long queues. Cost can include courtesy drink in London Eye Lounge. Phenomenal experience, not for those who are easily put off or scared of heights though. The views are wonderful. For best experience id say an essential "must have" is a guide of the capitals landmarks, helps you recognise them and naturally tells you what your looking at.

My stay in London wasn t just work, it was fun as well, I saw the Lion king show for the first time, Most importantly, took a tour around London to see a lot of place like the London eye. It was a very magnificent structure which I have always dreamed to see even before I came to London.
I had the chance to eat Sushi for the first time.

It was ok. Cool views but wish there was information on what you were seeing. It was just like being in a high floor of a building. Not much more.
I also wish they would take more than 1 photo on the capsule as the group on mine wanted a picture together and my husband and I didn't want to be in theirs, but would have liked a photo too

Easy to buy tickets online and in some cases you also get a small discount, I thought the cost was high however would still highly recommend the trip. Have been a few times and definitely my favourite time to go is at sunset, it takes 30 mins to go around so you get an amazing view.

I went observe this from an engineering point of view. The supporting structure and foundation is huge. I suggest engineers and physics enthusiasts to visit the base of this at least once.

Loved it. Had to convince our 4 year old to go on as he's afraid of heights. Once he was on he then got carried away with the sights. Once he saw Buckingham Palace. He was overjoyed. We all wanted to ride again( )

DO NOT BUY COMBI TICKET WITH RIVER CRUISE!!!

Complain: We bought a ticket at the boat ticket office next to London eye including entrance to London Eye. Each ticket has a timeslot. The timeslot of London eye was 13:45 and for the boat 14:45. Boarding on boat 14:30. We were right on time for London Eye but it was very busy, so we finished London Eye at 15:10 and miss the boat. We tried to change timetable for boat but they said it wasnt possible because the were soldout for two days. Three people just before us bought new tickets for next departure!! We spoke more people there with same problems.

This is scamming of organisation of London Eye!!!!!

I went to the Manager(Photo) but he said he couldnt help me, also my money back wasnt possible! So never buy a combination ticket.

It is recommended to see the London from above. The wait has been around 45mimutes. After this you get free ticket to experience 4D Cinema.

Not an Over Hyped place..I should mention it because its my personal opinion... People may tend to differ... But I must say the view of the whole London can be experienced perfectly when the capsule reaches at 180 degree position... Wonderful experience... Worth visit... Less of an eye than a large ferris wheel. Not quite the thrill ride I was expecting but great views over the city. Worth a visit once all of this Covid malarkey finishes.

What a great experience! The views across London were amazing, admittedly we had nice weather! We could see for miles. Good value for money, a great way to see London in half an hour. I booked the tickets online but still had to queue for quite a while to collect my tickets and then queue again to get on the London Eye but would recommend going on it.

Great views from here. Very busy but queues move quickly. Street entertainment is a great part of this area where you can see all sorts of amazing talent! Lots of places to eat grab a drink!

Great view on the top:) In winter, no need to get the fast track as I entered right away even with the regular pass. Or maybe I was lucky, but overall worth a visit!

My daughter and I loved it. Even on a cloudy day you could see for miles. Staff were also great.

Our first time on the London Eye as we had 50% off with o2 priority.
It looked busy but you get on pretty quickly as each pod takes probably 20 people. Was a lovely clear day to see everything but it was a bit warm up there. The air con needs to be on higher I think.
I paid for some binoculars online but didn t get them as it was a bit of a rush to get on.

This is a neat tourist trap, but if you have the time it is an easy ride with great views.

A beautiful place by the Thames, millennium bridge nearby, a wonderful view from the top.
Other attractions like aquarium, Madame tussauds etc all nearby, the street is full of hustle and bustle.

Queue was around 30 mins despite having 15 min slot booked. Views were amazing, not many other places in London to get a skyline view like this. Shame the weather turned half way around.

The only problem with this place is that normally there is a long long queue for the tickets as a lot of travellers visit here. And of course you wouldn't want to miss it either. But once you get in you will feel that it was worth standing and waiting in the queue. The view that you get here is incomparable and again it's a great place for selfie stars and also professional photographers. It is surely the eye of London.

Considering I don't like heights this was a wonderful experience. The views are amazing. We went on the day that many London Boroughs went car free for the day, apart from taxi's and buses.

It's very nice spot to visit in London ... 1st of all Be aware from gamblers ... Don't waste your time while standing with them... always look for weather forcaste before going there... because it is best to go on sunny day...

You can spend a few hours easily. The ideal time would be to visit this in the night.

Coming from Orlando, FL, I can definitely say that although we have the "largest wheel" the original, in London, has a Better VIEW with some historical sights!

You're able to buy the multi pass to take advantage of some other attractions on the River, but you can also by the stand-alone pass.

The view is great and if you have a nice, clear day -- some awesome photo opps of this historical city!

Can be a bit pricey for what it is, but if you plan ahead... You can likely catch a good deal on a variety of sites/vendors!

The all round view of London and one of the best attractions.Though it is a bit pricey but definitely worth it. A panoramic and scenic view of the capital from the top is undoubtedly an amazing experience and is a must try for everyone who visit this place.

Great! Fast track!! very speedy, no waiting. The pre experience was a pleasant surprise. I took a 14 year old exchange student and he loved the pre experience.

One of the top recommended activities in London. The giant wheel goes very alow, so you plenty of time to take some nice photos. Can see almost the entire Londoj city in all its awesomeness!

Beautiful view of the London central area. The capsule makes a full circle for 30 minutes so you have time to enjoy the view and take pictures. You should pre-book your ticket online to get better price.

A bird's eye view of London. Worth trying twice- once during the day and then during the evening. The lines can be a bother in the summer, but the wait is no than half an hour during other times. As a side note, the turkish pastries and snacks available near the base are excellent and deserve a review all of their own. An worthy pitstop before you climb into the wheel.

It was my first time there. Damn, I wanna go again and again and again. Trust me it is one of the best place to visit. You may sit there and click pictures and have fun even you may see some quality street performers and if you're yogurt lover then you may visit this "Frozen Yogurt" in the same premises. Also you may find plenty amount of food courts around there so don't worry about it. And it is the one of most photogenic place which I've ever visited. Loved it

The week we were there the weather was very good so we enjoyed the view. It is crowded very much but staff was good and supportive. Though they have suggested to come half hours before your appointment but it is totally depends on what season you are there. So I would suggest to go 1 hr before if you are going in the evening. It was fantastic experience.

London eye is one of the key attraction of London. Trip to London is incomplete without a London eye visit. On a beautiful summer afternoon the place is really vibrant with lot of ppl. Rush can be really high. Plan to take package ticket as that comes. Out as value for money. Go enjoyyyy London.

Love this, took my partner up there to see how he would feel, as he is scared of heights, he loved it, so did I.

I got the priority pack which included Madame Tussauds for 2 people. In USD it was about $280. It was well worth it. We got up in the London Eye and the views were spectacular. It was amazing. I'd highly recommend going.

It's a grockle trap, but it has to be said that the views over the most amazing city in the world are phenomenal. Worth paying for fast track entrance though. Wish the windows were a bit cleaner but it is London I guess. Trying to spot Nelson's column is fun!
