This is the first thing we did on our 8 days (first time in London) and we have to say it was worth it! The views of the city were breathtaking and gave us a good sense of locations. We came late, about 7:30 pm, and had a wait of about 20 min (no fast track). We were one of the last capsules they filled before closing for the day.

Two for One tickets made it affordable. Lines were long even after getting the tickets but they moved quite quickly. Staff are all very good at helping. Once in the pod it's a great sight and air conditioned too! No commentary about the sights which I thought would be nice but I guess not everyone wants that and there is an app you can use.

Such an amazing view. It was my first visit. Love the safety measures in place, it was myself and my friend in a pod alone, made the experience even better. We was able to play music, chat has loud as we like. I'm looking to visit again an experience the view at night.

Fantastic experience!! This is the second time we have been on the Eye. We booked tickets online, which now don't have to be converted to paper ones (so much easier), but we did decide to upgrade and fast track them for the cost of More

A most beautiful sight, I am super excited I was able to go see for myself. The view from the top is amazing. The staff and attendants were courteous and friendly. The process of getting ticket, getting on the ride and getting off was seamless.

Amazing! It was really fun to be in the London eye during my vacation, it's sort of sucks that most of London is covered in scaffolding right now. But it was still a beautiful sight. I recommend everyone do it at least once in their life.

The iconic London Eye has all the markings of a tourist trap. There isn t anything in the city that matches the views. You get a fresh perspective of the city and on a clear day you can see London stretch to the horizon and at night the city twinkles below.

London Eye.

London Eye.
The structure is 135 metres (443 ft) tall and the wheel has a diameter of 120 metres (394 ft). When it opened to the public in 2000 it was the world's tallest Ferris wheel. The London Eye was designed by the husband-and-wife team of Julia Barfield and David Marks of Marks Barfield Architects.
The London Eye was formally opened by the Prime Minister Tony Blair on 31 December 1999, but did not open to the paying public until 9 March 2000 because of a capsule clutch problem.

Again a must visit if you are on London . My last experience with the Melbourne Star which is a very similar concept in Melbourne city was not the best and we were skeptical whether this would be anything better. However it was part of our tour and we took our chances .We were booked for a Sunday evening when this place has the most visitors . The long queue gave us a felling that we would be here for the rest of the day . To our surprise they manage it pretty well . We were in and out within an hour . The view when your cabin reaches the top is something that must be experienced . This is one monument which is just 19 years old . Everything else starts with a thousand year old history . Worth every penny . The fast track line can be skipped since the regular ones also move pretty fast . A must do if you are in London.

We came here nearing the hectic Christmas holiday and the queue is quite long.

Luckily with max capacity at 25 people per capsules, we are in in short time.

My sister is using wheelchair, and the staffs are very attentive. They stop the wheel, put on a board to close the gap, them help my sister out from the capsule.

Also since there are 20 of us, we are allowed to occupy 1 capsule.

The day was clear and sun was shining bright. And we can see far in all directions, and take gorgeous pictures inside the capsule.

It was a day worth remembering..

I went with my family of 6. The view was beautiful and people with fear of heights won't feel a thing. The movement is slow and smooth so you have plenty of time to enjoy the view and take pictures.

Loved it, definitely a 1 off experience. I'm scared of heights, but don't worry there are seats located centrally in the capsules if you want to stay grounded. As all of London, you definitely pay enough for the experience, however beautiful location and views and the kids loved it.

Well the weather didn't exactly play ball but the experience was really great, in spite of the weather.
It's an expense that gives you so much in return, I had wondered how I'd feel, apart from a nervous moment as I stepped on, as it never actually comes to a complete stop, it was amazing and I loved it.
Highly recommend it.

Great for taking the kids to their Xmas special event with elves. If you go to this then you get priority boarding, entertainment for the kids and an elves hat as well.

Something to keep them entertained while you look out across the amazing views. Friendly staff. The only comment would be that the photos after are expensive but obviously aimed at tourists.

The view from up top is quite nice, but personally I felt underwhelmed by the overall experience. We had reservations, so we didn't have to wait long. I can't imagine waiting in a queue for hours for it, there are so many better things to see in London.
Also, the Coca-Cola branding and renaming comes across as very obnoxious to me, taking away from its status as a landmark and turning it into a sort of advertising prop.

About British Airways London Eye

British Airways London Eye: A Must-Visit Attraction in London

If you're planning a trip to London, one of the must-visit attractions is the British Airways London Eye. This iconic landmark is located on the South Bank of the River Thames and offers breathtaking views of the city's skyline. The lastminute.com London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel that stands at 135 meters tall and has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in London.

The British Airways London Eye was opened to the public in March 2000 and has since welcomed over 70 million visitors from all over the world. It was designed by architects David Marks and Julia Barfield, who wanted to create an attraction that would provide visitors with a unique perspective of London's landmarks.

The lastminute.com London Eye consists of 32 capsules, each capable of holding up to 25 people. The capsules are made entirely out of glass, providing unobstructed views for passengers as they slowly rotate around the wheel. A full rotation takes approximately 30 minutes, giving visitors ample time to take in all that this beautiful city has to offer.

One thing that sets British Airways' version apart from other Ferris wheels around the world is its state-of-the-art technology. Each capsule features interactive touchscreens that provide information about different landmarks visible from above. Visitors can also use these screens to learn more about how this impressive structure was built.

Pre-booking your tickets online is highly recommended as it guarantees entry into this popular attraction while also saving you up to 20% off ticket prices compared with buying them on-site or at other vendors around town.

In addition to offering stunning views, there are many other reasons why you should visit British Airways' version of The Eye during your trip:

1) Location: Located on South Bank near Waterloo Station makes it easily accessible by public transport or walking distance from many hotels.
2) Accessibility: The attraction caters for those with disabilities including wheelchair access.
3) Family-friendly: Children under three years old go free! There are also family tickets available which include fast track entry.
4) Private Capsules: For those looking for something extra special there are private capsules available which include champagne and chocolates!
5) Events & Experiences: Throughout year there are various events held such as Valentine’s Day packages or New Year’s Eve celebrations where guests can enjoy exclusive experiences whilst taking in panoramic views across central london.
6) Educational Opportunities - Schools can book educational visits where students will learn about engineering principles behind building such an impressive structure like The Eye!

Overall, visiting British Airways' version of The Eye should be high on your list when planning your next trip to England's capital city! With its stunning views, state-of-the-art technology and accessibility options for everyone - it truly offers something for everyone!
