Great Day out for couples and for the family. Lots of animals to see and pretty places to sit and have a picnic. The gift shop has a lot of choice. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing to note is that the food prices in the restaurant and cafe are high so better to take your own food. Toilets are clean and there's a water bottle refill station to use for free which is handy.

Brilliant day out with 1 year old twins. Great areas for them to practice their walking, friendly staff, reasonable entry price, great kids meal in the restaurant recommend the fish and chips. Only down side would be the toilets in the restaurant were freezing!!!! It's crazy to expext to change babies when that cold. We walked back up to the entrance toilets, which was a bit of a hassle but better than screaming babies. Lots of indoor bits too. Highly recommended day our with the kids!!!!

Great selection of amazing animals. The cages are spacious and clean, the animals are a joy to behold. Giving 4 stars because I wish there were less (if any) ride-on trucks/trains etc. The kind that you put a coin in and it shakes about with your child in it. I found them to be a distraction when the goal is to show my child as many amazing animals as possible.

Quite a small zoo but nonetheless a really good one!! As you can tell we loved seeing the lions and being able to get so close to them. I got some photos on my film camera. We also went to the seal talk and feed which was great, the keepers were knowledgable and could tell you all about the animals. The zoo was like a maze so we walked round there for a good 2/3 hours. Recommend to anyone!

As a zoo, it's not bad. There is a wide selection of animals to be seen, but access in and out of the car park is awkward if your car doesn't have 4x4 ground clearance, and the food is poor quality and very expensive.

The animals in Bristol Zoo were fantastic and we enjoyed seeing them all. The only downside to Bristol Zoo was the overall feel of the place, it seemed run down. It's a shame to take that feeling away after enjoying seeing the animals.

Love the size of this zoo. So easy to get around and so well kept. Lots of fantastic distractions for little kids. We loved the seal and penguin talk the best. Great little play park and lots of spots to have picnics.

-Clean
-A variety of things to do and see
-Smaller then I thought
-Daily talks were good
-Water fountains around the Zoo
-Nice gift shop (plenty of educational items for kids and adults)
-Would be great if they had an Australian area

Frankly this is now very poor value for money. Much of the zoo is now shut off presumably as these areas in older buildings don t lend themselves to one-way systems - fine, but this has not been reflected by a reduced admission price. Lorikeets, butterfly house, reptile house, insect house all closed.

The penguin and sea lion enclosure should be the star attraction, but is drab and shabby as, to be honest, is much of the zoo nowadays. The whole place felt depressing and down at heel, as if it s slowly being deliberately run down by the management.

Their sister site, Wild Place, is far better value for money and a much better way to spend a few hours with family. We ll take our kids their next time, which is exactly what we heard another parents saying to her children on our way out! Worrying times for Bristol Zoo.

Visited here for a small conference, and what a fantastic setting. I haven't been before. Great environment, brilliant to be able to get out and see the animals, and will certainly be coming back with the family.

A lovely zoo. Very well cared for. Beautiful gardens. Not too big so we managed to get round it in a day plus delicious lunch in restaurant. Very hot day so even the penguins didn't want to perform at feeding time but plenty for children to do to interact. A very good day out.

The restaurant however is poor. One of my friends ended up with an elastic band in her soup?! And my food was cold. No apology just someone will get you another and we won't charge extra for the elastic band?!

When we parked up it looked like it wad going to be tiny from the drive round the outside but it doesn't feel it inside and there's still lots in there. Unfortunately Gorilla house was closed but we got to see the Seals having an amazing swim and play from the tunnel under their water area and stand right next to a keeper feeding and talking to an older Seal. We went to the Friday night summer event and it was a gorgeous set up with great music. But take your own drinks really as they made a fiver on the drink I bought if not more.

It was a shame we were looking forward to this part of our trip but some of the exhibits were closed (indoor ones but others are open with the exception of wearing a mask) and charged full priced, I can understand with the circumstances at the moment but it was rather disappointing.

Disappointing, it does not make clear on the home page of the website whilst booking the tickets that a considerable amount of the zoo's attraction are shut, Reptile House, Hippo House, Bats, Twilight Zone, Bug World to name but a few. This should be made much clearer at the time of booking.
