Thought the one way system was over complicated in places due to the no entry barriers on certain footpaths. Don't understand why the aquarium was open but reptile house was not. A lot of wasted space about also, could do a lot more with the space given

We are members and find the membership very good value as we come at least once a month, often once a week during summer. It's pricey but my three year old has never become bored of it, so very much worth the money. It has helped him learn more about the world around him. It doesn't have many big animals but when you take into account bug world, the Aquarium etc there is more than enough to keep the family occupied for the day. I recommend getting combined membership with the Wild Place, which has a small number of animals at the moment but plans to increase - and they are all big interesting animals from a kid's perspective

Plenty of animals, full list would be on the website. We went on a rainy day sadly but there was plenty to do indoors and out for when it wasn't too bad. Animals are well kept and clearly looked after with zoo keepers with abundant knowledge. My girlfriend's favourite animal is a red panda and fortunately we got to see one hidden away. Thanks!

Great zoo, each access, best by public transport. Animals are in great condition with passionate keepers. Not many large animals, but don't be put off as a huge array of fascinating species to see. Kids loved it and so did I.

Great zoo, can see animals really close up unlike places like Chester Zoo where they are miles away. Lots of picnic areas but unfortunately no food places to buy food from except hot dogs or ice-cream.

It's still a Zoo.... even with the eco slant it has these days..but if you remember the polar bear or even the chimpanzees tea party, it's much improved!!! Eateries and entery both pricey and foods not very inspiring.....take a picnic!!!

Decent zoo with fairly good selection of animals. Highlight is gorillas. Not on the sake of a large zoo like Chester and is really expensive. Good restaurant with options for all the family

Sadly it's age is showing with little investment into new cages and areas for the animals, paint is flaking and the restaurant is dated.
However it's good if your dropping in for 2-3 hours just don't expect a full day here there are some nice attractions if you catch the zoo at their feeding times

I love Bristol zoo, always have since I was a child. It's a really good size for children and families and they have some really good exhibits. It seems to me like the animals are well cared for and given the constraints of the site they appear to be happy, well as happy as an animal in a zoo could be.

Such good value - booked on-line to save money but really didn't need to as it's so reasonable to get in. All the houses are well thought out & not just there to fill a space. Easy to do in a day. No big animals apart from the loo a, but that didn't detract from a fantastic day.

Bristol Zoo used to be fairly priced but year by year I've seen them put their prices up by an extortionate amount.

I have not stepped into Bristol Zoo For years because of these prices.

Sort it out, it's absolutely ridiculous.

When I arrived in Bristol looking for something to fill a few hours with, Bristol Zoo came into mind, the ticket prices are very reasonable versus Paignton Zoo and in actual fact, Bristol Zoo is very much like a Tardis once you get inside, everything is very well set out and there's so much to see here, the variety of creatures on display is pretty good, there's enough activities to do scattered around and plenty of photo opportunities. Well recommended.

It was good but felt the social distance rules could be more enforced the toilets were well supervised and delt with well. People moaned about them, but it's there for a reason peps. We had a great day out, even with the heavy rain. Something we did not know about (didn't really read up on it) parking is 4.50 for the day.

a very nice day out. with the gardens being so pleasant you could quite easily spend the day here which woyld make the admission price better value but it still doesnt break the bank if its a quick visit. the restaurant could do with a bit of a refurb with tables and chairs looking worn and used. feeling ablittle more like a school canteen. The toilet facilities could have been cleaner, smelling worse than the rat enclosure.

Lovely place to visit at Bristol Zoo clifton. Great to visit the animals. We had to book online for tickets due to social distancing reasons. But with a lot of effort put in place at the zoo we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Sanitizers dotted all over the place, and toilets were open by the hide cafe. Loved it and thoroughly recommend it.

We love this zoo, up near Clifton. Easy to access. Onsite chargeable parking, or roadside pay & display parking with a generous 5 hour limit.
Beautiful layout, gardens are currently alive with colour (April). Wide variety of animals to see, flamingos, lion, reptiles, bats, aquarium, butterfly house, monkeys, gorillas, hippos and more....our favourite of this visit were the ring-tailed lemurs. You can walk through their enclosure. The family unit were on form including 3 new additions.
Also loved the penguin and sea lions.
In addition a lovely play area for the younger children along with other activities and a high ropes course for the older ones and adults (at an extra cost). We thought it was a great day out and value for money.

Bit backwards. All contact details supplied to book but you must fill in a sheet of paper on arrival to give contact details. Also disappointing that play areas still closed to children. Not worth the full price for half a day out

Love it. Loads to do. Not a cheap day if you're not a member and can get busy when the weather is nice but as it quite spread out you don't feel like you're tripping over other people. Membership is a great option if you're likely to visit a few times a year. The restaurant isn't great for families in my opinion as it's more if a sit down and order place now. Personally I think it was more family friendly as a canteen but the zoo as a whole is still a great place that we visit frequently.

Wonderful family day out. We made the trip up from Cornwall especially to visit the Zoo and we were not disappointed! Our children ( aged 3 & 4 ) were entertained throughout the day and haven't stopped talking about all the different animals & creatures we saw since! Highly recommended.

Lovely zoo. Animals seem happy enough. Place is smaller than I expected so not as many of the big draw animals as I'd have hoped - obviously no elephants, rhino's, tigers, polar bears, giraffes etc.

Love going here.

Such a nice visit and a longer visit than you think.

Tonight (13/12/2017) we went to a christmas carol night.

2016 we went to a nocturnal zoo night.

Well recommended

The park is nice in itself. But I have been to better venues. There were restrictions due to the current global situation but even in normal times I would say this wouldn't be mind blowing.

A variety of exhibits, very friendly staff and lots of activities to do especially for younger children. The Zooropia high ropes are also great fun. The food at the cafe and restaurant is good and the prices are fairly cheap when you buy them online.

Genuinely wanted to love this but it is very small and very expensive. The animals look so sad and their cages are so small. It was quite upsetting. Several of the staff were also really very rude including a very inappropriate face painter who seemed to forget there were children around. Please please send your lions out to The Wild Place Project where there is more room and is generally just much better for animals and visitors alike.
