A great place to spend the afternoon in. You can learn lots about the animals, grab a coffee or just let the children run wild in the park or splash play area. Getting membership is highly recommended

Great zoo with lots to see. We spent a good 5 hours here with a stop in the play park. Highlights included the male lions, a nocturnal area, bugs, tree kangaroos and butterflies (in October).

Lovely day out, went on a weekday so wasn't very busy. Really nice surroundings to sit down and have a bite to eat. Lots to see and do, would be good if the nocturnal rooms had some sort of UV lighting very hard to see where you're going and to convince a 3 year old that it's not scary.

Small zoo and a nice family day out for smaller children. However, it's very very expensive for what it is. Two adults and three kids top out at over 80 quid (summer 2017). I haven't done detailed analytics, but I think it is much more expensive in real terms thank it used to be.

Absolute waste of money, one of the worst zoos I've ever visited. Cramped cages, bored lethargic animals, and so many areas closed off that it only took 25 mins to go round. Lots of Lego models of animals/sea creatures displayed sporadically through the grounds, we saw more models than actual wildlife. Don't waste your money .

Bit smaller than I remembered as a girl. But the place was clean and tidy. With animal talks throughout the park through the day. Loads for the kids to see and do. Animals looked happy and well looked after. The dinosaur experience was brilliant. Definetly worth a visit

Loved the Butterfly Tropical Gardens! Went there with my sis-in -law and we were both enthralled. Learned so much from the two ladies in charge that day ( Feb 20th). So glad we took the anti-clockwise route as generally we dont get to see much at the south east end of the Zoo map. Well worth a visit folks, but don't expect to get too many photos of the luminous glue winged butterflies from Costa Rica? -they move too fast and when resting only show their inner wing patterns which are darker but still beautiful. These guys are the size of small birds+ quite ethereal in their own way!!

Had a great day out at Bristol zoo gardens. Definitely one of my favourite zoos. So clean and tidy and so many different animals there. It is a pretty small zoo compared to others so only need 3/4 hours here.

A decent half day out. Not enough hand sanitizer stations, so make sure you bring your own. The zoo is currently set up as a one way system; if you finish you can go round again as often as you like. As it's a small zoo you do get quite up close to some of the animals.

Always enjoy the penguins, makes for a nice day out.
Went with my little brother a year ago he liked the monkeys but was more interested in the cars in the car park which is just typical.
Good memories from when I was a kid I always loved the place.

Lovely zoo, nice layout, and the staff were very chatty answering all questions and offering bits of information. Loved it and can't wait for summer to go again. Also great facilities for wheelchairs

A small scale zoo with enough to keep everyone entertained for about 6 hours. The enclosures are engaging and access around the main attractions is good. There is a play park, a high ropes obstacle course a little paddling area and green areas for family picnics. Plan ahead for the various animal talks your interested in, you can easily cross the park in about 10-15 mins if required. The keepers tasks got the animals out to feed them and gave lots of information about the animals which kept most kids engaged. We had a great day out and would go back.

Good variety of creatures to look at. Reasonably priced if bought online. We particularly liked the big fish in the aquarium. The cafe/restaurant is clean and fresh. You can order just drinks even though they hand you a menu.
The Gorillas were great.
We had a 7 month old baby and baby facilities were good.

A great day out. Lots of educational information, staff were friendly and chatty when approached. Shame the penguins are in quarantine - it would be good if the website mentioned that.
However, well worth the annual membership we purchased today. Cafe was good too.

Nothing more fun than being in play with my wolf through WhatsApp Facebook Twitter Instagram YouTube telegram and much more because it is the best joy that exists on the face of the earth and we can play with life a bit but mainly entertain us with who really loves us and who really wants us in their life. Look at these people and give even more value to the small and insignificant life that we take to improve our night thinking about our days as spouses of the people that surround us and complete our family nucleus. Live life is sabela breathe

A great family day out!! I was expecting a little more like zebras and giraffes but we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Snacks were a little pricey after the entrance fee but the gift shop was fab.

Love the Zoo, great for the kids, best advice though is to bite the bullet and buy a season ticket (family) and then go there 2-3 times in the year to get your moneys worth. Fantastic full day out or even just for taking a picnic and sitting on the grass, having a coffee or ice cream and going again. Well worth the investment for a young family.

Zoo was okay for price but staff are money grabbing! They packed up the tills an hour early so when I went to buy a year membership, they which they offer at a reduced price taking out the price you paid for entry, they said you'll have to do it online but you need your reciept. The same reciept the woman at the till asked would I like or not...
When asking them to do it online they told me no and to pay the full price again, and then tried to black mail me saying it goes up in a few days to so better buy it now. Disappointed in the staffing behind it all

Me and my partner are happily members here. We go as often as possible. Love to listen to the talk and to learn about the wildlife there. Also very happy to be a supporter of the good conversation work they do. If you are in Bristol, you need to visit the Zoo!

Good social distancing in place. Pre booking ensures that it's not too busy. Would recommended bringing your own food as catering services are limited. Coffees etc. was fine. Some areas are still closed off such as the butterfly house. We More

Very enjoyable however parking is so bad it ruined our day. We had to park in residential area which meant we had to go out twice to move the car. Staff on car park were rude and didn't know what they were doing.

Had a great day out here with my other half. There's a good variety of animals to see and the grounds of the zoo are great to explore. We caught some of the talks they have at various enclosures throughout the day which were informative.

I wouldn't recommend eating here. We had a burger and a can of pop each from the BBQ place. VERY overpriced for an average at best burger. If we return in future I would definitely bring a picnic.

On the whole though we had a good day and would definitely visit again someday.
