A relatively small and compact zoo, but that doesn't stop them from having a wide variety of animals. Ranging from Asiatic lions to regal tangs in their aquarium. Perfect for a day visit with lots of interactive areas for kids.

Have been visiting for over 15 years and still love this place. Some areas looking a little tired but they keep renewing to maintain a good overall experience. Most fascinating for me are the reptiles and bugs. A must-see for visitors to Bristol with children.

We had a fantastic time at this lovely zoo. The enclosures are beautifully managed and the animals have lots of enrichment and seem very happy indeed. My last visit was as a child in 1977, so a lot has changed obviously for the better. We also had a great meal The Hide with lots of good veggie options. We didn t see the flamingoes sadly because the weather was so cold and there was slippery ice which may have caused damage to them but otherwise all animals were out in force. I would certainly return if I were in Bristol again and would highly recommend. Thank you

The zoo specializes in smaller animals, although they have lions and pigmy hippo's. They have a number of environments for penguins, seals, butterflies, meerkats, monkeys and many more. It's well worth a visit.

Really well thought out post Covid. They have a one way system that actually feels better. We booked for 10am and got round the whole zoo within one hour as we were more or less the first in. Take a picnic as they have a couple of grassed areas. Better to get a meal deal from your local supermarket and take that in with you.

Love this place and the kids do too. The entry fee is well worth it. The staff and volunteers are really friendly and knowledgeable. If you're local and visit more then once a year it's well worth becoming a member.

The Zoo is very well kept. The gardens are pretty and tidy. The playgroup is lovely for kids up to age 8. The cafe needs a lot of work. It is freezing in the winter. Service is below average.

It is a small zoo, but I find we easily spend a couple of hours here. Plenty of parking. Range of indoor and outdoor enclosures and plenty of seating around the zoo. Some of the enclosures do seem small, but they do have a range of animals to see. The staff are very polite and welcoming, great zoo to visit with little ones!

A fairly decent little visit. Interactive staff that have a lot of knowledge.

We visited on a rainy day but didn't find it a dampener at all. This is a good day out if the weather is kind to you but equally as worth the money for a couple of hours as we did.

Worse animal park/zoo I have been to in my life.

Worse animal park/zoo I have been to in my life.

Lions run are absolutely tiny and plastered with poo. Viewing glasses are dirty and discoloured so you having a hard time seeing anything yet the shop that sells the stuffed animals is immaculate no trouble seeing anything there.

Staff was clueless about the animals they look after .

This park has gone steady downhill over the past few years and is now the most rundown zoo in the country. Never going to buy a membership again until you put the animals first.

Lovely and enjoyable day with 11 and 13 year olds. Chilled out wander around the zoo, enjoying the antics of the animals. Zooropia good fun. Favourite animals - cheeky seal, Maras, ducks!, and many many more.

Great place to visit with kids, loved the day out.
When we went it was not too busy, had ample things to do to keep our young children occupied for our half day visit. Can be taken at your own pace and even double back to revisit parts that the kids enjoyed most.
Eating facilities are good but a bit pricey but that's usual for an attraction like this.

Nice experience, animals seemed well cared for & it was enjoyable, but the increase in price for entry & expense of food onsite is a major down point for me & makes it definitely less accessible for families than it once was.

A great day out with animals spread within the gardens. Out door play areas for kids. Food outlets and gift shop. Various organised activities on throughout each day. Or simply wander around like we did. Staff were polite and helpful. It had been 10 years since our last visit and it was like starting a fresh with all we found to see. Will be going again when we are next up that way.

Lovely staff, fantastic facilities and animal enclosures all clean and animals look happy. One way system works very well although some areas still closed to the public.

If all areas were open to the public then I would have had no issues rating 5 stars.

Second visit in 11 months and will most definitely be back again and again.
