All the animals seemed happy and so did the staff.

Fantastic zoo! It's small but there is a lot to see. The enclosures for the animals are nice, and there are fun sculptures throughout the park and plenty of areas for kids to play. The gift shop was great and priced reasonably. Look forward to going again.

Really nice zoo with well maintained and manicured with little intricate details of landscape along the footpath (i see details like that) taking you on a sort of journey. Really beautiful and enjoyable!
Seen the spider monkeys - which are incredibly cute and fascinating - and as we had a guide dog with us they were very drawn to us and behaved in all sorts of funny ways.
The gorilla in house was super cool too! They walk over your head!
I can only imagine how much more beautiful and active the zoo would be in summer.
We even had a lovely ranger in the name of vicky (i think) who volunteered to walk us around giving wonderful array of information and little story about every animal! She was wonderful, so friendly and helpful as we were a little lost.
She also held the guide dog for my friend so we could go in certain areas dogs are not aloud.
Shame about the reception stuff being a bit awkward.

Horribly small lion enclosure with the lion walking up and down next to the walls the whole time I was there. The penguin enclosure absolutely stank of fish, overpriced gift shop and most of the vending machines wouldn't take my perfectly fine notes. However their nocturnal area wasn't too bad and you could walk through most of the enclosures like the fruit bats and so on. Still in shock how bad that lion looked however.

Zoo great however left waiting to place order in restaurant for 10 minutes and then told too late to order pizza which is what we'd been told was available. 2nd time this has happened (on last 2 visits) - need to be more attentive to customer experience in restaurant.

Had a fantastic time at the Zoo with the family. All the staff was so friendly. However, the hide restaurant was poor and if I could give it a 2 star I would. Food was nice, but the orginastion of the staff and service was so bad, wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

The zoo is well maintained and very big. The layout is a bit confusing though. You do get a map with the tickets, which doesn't help much. But you don't really need to worry about that.
There are lots of different animals including a gorilla that was born here. There is a Butterfly forest where kids would be very happy as the butterflies fly around them. Lots of different species there and you can also see larvae and newly hatched butterflies.
There is a reptiles section, a Bugs and insects section, a small aquarium and a Penguin & Seals section as well.
Don't miss out the animal feed timings.

The animals and exhibits here are really great, from watching lions and gorillas to walking under swimming sea lions. It also has activities for children such as a maze and a high ropes course. However, it is incredibly busy on school holidays etc.. and it can become hard to get a full, clear look at the exhibits due to how many people there are.

Excellent zoo on a relatively small site. Well set up for children. Food available on site, and picnic facilities, as well as water bottle refill points. Though we didn't find any good option between the catering shacks and the restaurant. If there isn't one, then a cafe style option would be good.

The talks are good, and plenty on site to fill more than one day.

Brilliant zoo, and small enough to see everything in one day, membership prices really reasonable. Nice cafe/restaurant. Animals all healthy and well cared for. Lemur walkthrough, and underwater tunnels for seals and penguins. Playground and sandpit for little ones and splash area for paddling when the weather's warm. Very interactive and fun and lots of info about their conservation work.
