The zoo isn't that big, but considering it does have a lot packed in.

There animals look very well cared for and there is a big emphasis on protecting wildlife.

The restaurants selection was pretty good and the cake was really nice too.

All in all a good day out for everyone big or small and not too big to tire you out

lovely little zoo. not as big as I expected but it was still nice to look around. The parking was not the best, we ended up having to park quite a way away. Overall a nice day out but probably wouldn't go again.

Plenty to see and if you take a picnic some beautiful seating and eating areas. I would highly recommend taking your own food and drinks however as it could get really pricey if you take the whole family as I did.

Not great value for money. The animals are reasonably looked after feel like the lions could do with more space to roam.ammeneties are good bit though 3.50 for face painting was a bit steep

Not as good a zoo as we are used too, but we are spoilt living near Chester Zoo. Unfortunately we didn't see the lions, even though we visited the enclosure 3 times. The penguin and seal area was good but unfortunately none were swimming when we walked through the under water tunnels. We really enjoyed seeing the Gorillas and the kids had fun on the park.

An interesting collection of wildlife is available here. We spent the entire day and still did not see all the animals. A must see? The dinosaur collection but watch out for the spitting dinosaur.

Loved this place! They have a wonderful selection of animals! Got to watch meerkats being fed and even though the weather wasn't great we managed to view all animals. For any Arachnophobes the only spiders are in the bug house. None elsewhere so no need to fear the reptile house!

We had a great day out. Bristol zoo had put a one way system in place to help with the social distancing. You also had to wear masks in the toilet blocks and animal houses. Downsides were we had to pay for parking, and not all the toilets were open meaning you had to que for the toilets. I had my 4 year old son with me and his bladder control/waring system isn't the best resulting in frantic queuing for the toilets. The menu in the cafe was limited and you could only sit outside. Other than that we had a lovely day.

Went to an outdoor film screening. Fantastic atmosphere. You could book deckchairs or like us take your own. Every one had picnics and had a good view.
The screen was large and the picture colour was very good as was the sound. A very different zoo experience.

The children loved it here, the education centre was fantastic and very informative, the lady who took our reception class (Becky) was very engaging with our class of 4/5yr olds, kept their interest for the whole time we were learning about the Arctic. Highly recommended

No tigers, lions, bears, but so many other animals. Set in well tended gardens, and lots for the kids to do. Often long queues for food so take your own refreshments. Easy to get to from the town centre by the No 8 bus. Buy your tickets to the zoo online and get nearly 30% off. So areas enclosed but most outside so take into account the weather.

Be mindful it is a zoo within the urban area. Careful parking. Lovely place. Good exhibits. Fair animal selection and interaction. Liked the aquarium and water exhibits. Only a full day out if you go round gently.

Amazing zoo at a decent price. Only a short bus ride from the city centre with easy access links. Staff are friendly and eager to Help you have a good day. The zoo is super well kept and its clear plenty of investment goes into the zoo to keep it looking so great. Wide variety of animals with large indoor areas as well. They run talks about certain animals through out the day as well. 10/10 would definitely visit again

Bristol Zoo is such an amazing and magical place. All the animals seem so happy, the staff so friendly and everyone is really respectful, including using chosen names for trans peoples on membership cards :D

Great day out at Bristol zoo. We took a train down and the bus and rail links are brilliant to the zoo. And because we travelled by train we got a 2 for 1 entry with a voucher from GWR website. Definitely worth doing as it makes the day cheaper. We also have a railcard for friends and family whichade rail travel really cheap. Great experiences and a lovely day out

Absolute waste of time and money. Its raining so I understand it won't be as busy as a good day. However we were there between 2pm and 4.20pm and only managed to see some lemurs, one gorilla and a couple of frogs. We go to the cafe at More

Went here quite recently, most of the enclosures were alright but the lions looked so bored and it felt like they needed a lot more space and things to do. The restaurant isn't that great either, food selection is poor, what they do have was ok but it would of been nice to have more variety to choose from. They could also do with more variety and higher quality goods in the gift shops, a lot of what was there looked a bit tacky... Apart from that, its a nice little zoo, wouldn't recommend for adults as you can pretty much get round it in an hour but a good day out for little kids.

Excellent zoo. I've here more times than I can count. It is great for a full day out or just a few hours, as I have been doing since getting a membership for the family. I haven't been since the new cafe has been built and the food variety is great for adults. I would say that the food for a 1 year old is ok but there is a microwave to warm up your own meals for children. The staff will give you a bowl and cutlery if needed too.

Parking needs to be paid for which is a downside and can be full on weekends, bank holidays and half term. The car park is quite small for the size of attraction. There are side streets to park down but this can be quite a pain since Bristol parking is not easy with restrictions everywhere.

The whole family enjoy visiting Bristol zoo and it s got lots of activities and things to see and do. I personally like the fact they have lots of outdoor seating places for bring your own picnics to keep the cost down. Also the adventure playground is central and allows older kids to explore while the parents can supervise younger ones while having a chat. The high ropes are fun and take kids from 5 up.

Lovely zoo for a great family day out. Food in the restaurant was good but queues to get in was ridiculous. A good variety of animals to see. Also for EV car owners there is a 7kw charger in car park.

A well laid out zoo that is eady to navigate round. The entrance fee is not too bad cosidering the work they do for consevation. There are not 100's of animals but that is not the point, it is there to ensure endangered species have a fighting chance.
We converted our day tickets to annual membership as it is a great place to return to.
