This is my 2nd year at Brighton Asylum. I come all the way from New York to go here. It was okay this year. The orientation part of the haunted house was the best part. I must say they are very creative. You can tell they put alot into the decorations. I barely was scared due to them sending a lot of people in at once. Maybe if they narrowed it down to a certain amount of people that go through at once then I probably would had got a lot more jumps in. Get the fast pass if you are going on the weekend. Without the fast pass you will be waiting for over a hour in line.

An hour waiting on line for a 30 minute haunted house. Worth every minute. They had entertainment outside which helped pass the time. Absolutely wear comfortable shoes. The actual houses were done to perfection!

Went tonight. Parking lot was full. Drove to the other lot and saw at least a hundred people inside and one little school bus pulling out, so we just found street parking not far away. NBD. My fiance and I both decided to wear the glow necklaces, since taking them off is always an option (not knowing what to expect, we gave it a try). Honestly, it wasn't bad for me. However, my fiance got it a little worse. She's very androgynous looking (not to mention tall), so I'm assuming the actors mistook her for man. And I get it. It's dark, she's 5'10 or so with short hair, it happens. But because of this within only a minute or so inside the actual attraction (inside the elevator, after the "experiments" portion) she was forcefully grabbed by an actor and pushed hard against a wall. She wasn't injured, but she did say it hurt. This happened several times. I would just advise that the staff (possibly the ones screening everyone before they enter or the costumed actor who recites the rules) communicate to the other actors inside info that could plainly be seen in the light. My fiance has a feminine face. In the darkness, I can totally get someone mistaking her for a very slim man, but someone could have radioed the actors, "hey, that tall person in group X is a chick! Don't be so rough!" I'm assuming it's not a situation that arises very often and therefore I totally understand not being prepared to handle it, but hopefully this review helps for the future. Clearly the actors go a little harder on the men (someone caressed my face and grabbed my arm, but that was about it - while the men in my group definitely had more "violent" contact), so maybe making a point to educate staff on LGBTQ identities and the different ways we all look could be beneficial.

As for the attraction, the beginning was fun, the middle not so much. There were really very few actors in the first attraction. Or two attractions, I suppose. Which is misleading, TBH. And not very clearly posted. We walked around for a bit trying to find the "third" attraction only to be told we had already experienced it. That was a letdown. The upstairs portion is newer and definitely where they are putting all of their attention. There was at least one actor per room, while the downstairs was less heavily populated. Balance is key and this really wasn't balanced.

Also, when we went to do our 5 minute "escape room," there was absolutely no one behind us and they still forced us to go with a group of 6 ahead of us that was totally filled with children. And the "victim" didn't even remember what he was supposed to do, so we basically stood in the room looking at numbers for 5 minutes. I had even guessed right what the purpose was, but the kid couldn't remember what the instructor told him to do. Kind of a waste and could have been way more fun if we had been allowed to go in ourselves.

I had an amazing time at this place. We got the scared stiff package which allowed us to skip to the front of the line. . The tunnel area was a lot of fun. I don't want to spoil anything so I won't say much, but if you decide to visit this place make sure you get one of the glow necklaces so that the actors are allowed to touch you (not inappropriately of course lol). There is also a third section, but I can't recall the name of that area, but it was awesome because it's more personal (my date and i went in alone) than the tunnel, which you need to enter as a group of 5. Definitely worth it. Good fun!

The only reason why I'm giving this a three stars is because of the production. I feel there's two many people going in at the same time. I saw a group of 6 in front of us, we knew exactly what was behind doors or behind walls. I think they should space it out a bit. Also, expect to wait at least 3 hours to get it. I go every year and the line keeps getting longer and longer. The rooms are ok.. but not worth the price if you asked me. I love it because is local and thats a plus. They are on the right track for sure, just space it out a bit and you will see.

I have been to the Asylum during the Halloween season, Christmas, and Valentines day and have had an awesome experience every time! The wait times and ticket prices are much more reasonable then any other local haunt I have attended. The rooms and actors are both creative and scary, and every time I have went my whole group has screamed and laughed our way through, thoroughly enjoying ourselves. We always recommend it to our friends and are very excited to see what is in store with the new attraction, The Tunnel!

Extremely well put together. The haunted house was very scary and hands on. The bottom floor was the most exciting while the top floor was just a notch below.

The escape rooms are fairly challenging but the average person won t have too much trouble. The guide is there the whole one listening and assisting.

ORDER TICKETS ONLINE! It saves so much time and If possible, make an investment in the fast pass. Although the fast pass cost a little bit more, you get to skip the 2-4 hour wait in line. You ll end up waiting around 30 minutes. My group went on a Saturday night and the line was wrapping around the outside of the building, past the parking lot, and towards the entrance. These people ended up waiting at least 4 hours while we finished the escape room and both floors of the haunted house in under 2!

One great experience my group and I had!

I came here 5 years ago and it WAS scary. Today I came and unfortunately they've changed and I wasn't scared once. Hopefully they can add some scarier characters, more labyrinth, more idk different scarier things.

I travel from all different parts of the country to make it to "Santa's Slay" every year. I love this haunt very much. Very unique and always a good time. I no longer need to be sad Halloween is over because I have Christmas to look forward to at Brighton Asylum!

This is hands down the best horror attraction around!!! We have been to tons of horror/Halloween attractions and this one literally blows them all out of the water! As avid horror fans, Brighton Asylum does not disappoint. Their attention to detail, jump scares and hydraulics are insane!! We have now been to their escape rooms and main attractions and cannot wait to go back. Our original ticket date for their main attraction was cancelled due to weather and the staff at Brighton Asylum definitely made up for this and took care of us which many places if cancelled don't care about the costumer and don't make up for it at all. LOVE THE STAFF AND LOVE THIS PLACE!!! If you want an amazing scare or are a horror/Halloween fan this will be your new favorite place just like it's now ours. Only thing that wold make this place better is for them to grow and build more attractions. Fingers crossed because we would be first in line!!

Horrible experience , me my boyfriend and my friend came all the way from Easton PA . We got there at 9 pm our listing was until 11 we waited in line until 1 am the line was not moving at all , we ask the owner what happen with the lines and if we could use the tickets other day . We waited for his answer for 30 mins ohh and we never got an answer by the way. He basically ignored us and left us , horrible experience ever , disgusting customer service , never again

Went Saturday Halloween Prime Time weekend! Bought Premium Combo Fast pass, was very, very,.... VERY worth it! Better than Bane, because you can go with your friends and hear them screaming with you instead of getting separated! Even the most stoic of the group got a couple scares, the atmosphere was great and the props were top notch!

Fast Pass is a necessity, we(group of four) got there at 8:30pm and we left at 10:30 with everything we did, each thing has a line, and the two haunted Tunnel and Asylum lines were huge already and we got to skip them both. Minimal wait times(5-10 mins most), with the Fast Pass made everything so much better, you did not lose your adrenaline high!

They had a second lot for parking at 199 Scholes St (a school parking) and had shuttle busses to the event that came promptly (10 mins or less).

The only thing i had an issue with is***Spoiler*** I hurt myself near the end, there is a Slide/Shoot thing that you go down in the Asylum, but it was so short and i couldn't see the bottom so i fell on my ass and really hurt my "Tail Bone", i already know it will be aching for a week! Didn't break my phone in my back pocket though! Still 5 stars for everything else, most likely this was my own fault, but it would've been nice to have padding at the bottom and not just a rock hard floor!

Amazing experience. The wait is crazy long even early in the season on weekends but worth it. Glad they offer water and soda for 1$ too. The museum could use some work but everything else is fantastic. Loved the ax throwing and 5 minute room escape too

I had an issue one night here. I got in touch with the owner and he responded almost immediatley and helped me resolve this issue. Excellent customer service. As for the haunted house attractions, I was blown away. They didn't miss a thing. The details were incredible. The length of the attraction itself makes it worth every penny. My friends and I had such a great night and we can't wait to go back and enjoy this attraction in the future.

Went there on a Sunday night and waited over an hour on line. It was not scary at all and was terribly fake. Not realistic at all and you end up walking in a line through the entire "asylum" 5+ people in front and behind you at all times, barely any actors inside the asylum and it's almost like they aren't even trying to be funny. It lasted about 25 minutes and was just a waste of time when you pay $30+ a ticket just to see 2 crummy parts. They are also giving a free pass to another part of the asylum but only if you give them a 5 start on google reviews; this place is so over hyped and not worth the rate or the money.

good

Drove over an hour with my family, and we were definitely impressed. Our family lives for this stuff. We seek out the scariest haunted attractions. This was our first time at Brighton, and we'll definitely come back .The outside of the building, is a warehouse, and the drive/walk onto the property, is kinda confusing and sketchy, BUT....it was well worth the confusion.

SPOILERS...

Every area inside was so amazingly decorated.
The props, the actors, the smells.......
You can tell they love doing this.
You can choose to wear a glowstick red necklace, if you want the actors to touch you.
Which , my mom and her bf did, me and my fiance didn't ...which we now REGRET because watching the actors with them, gotta say....I was jealous lol.
They don't hurt you, but they DO TOUCH your hands, arms, legs, face, grab your legs, push you forward and up against objects, semi force you to kiss a dead girl. It was amazing.

And....take my advice, get there when they open.
They opened at 7pm tonight , and we got there at 640, and there was already a 40 minute wait.
But it wasn't too bad at all. They have actors outside on the grounds scaring you.
ALL IN ALL...this place is worth the drive and the money.

One of the best haunts around. Brighton obviously works hard to bring a great experience. And they aren't only just opened at Halloween. They do events throughout the year.
This place is Aces and I highly recommend it...

Addendum: I've done both of their escape rooms now and omg they were so much fun! Went with my bf, my sister and her fiance, and a good friend and her bf (6 people total) both times. The crew that runs them is super friendly and you can tell they worked hard on these rooms. The tomb was definitely my favorite. Difficult but soooo worth it! 1408 wasn't necessarily scary so much as thrilling (could also be because I'm a Hitchcock fan and I've seen the movie 1408). No, I'm not giving spoilers to the rooms. You'll have to go and figure them out just like we did! We passed the tomb with like 2 minutes left on the clock, and 1408 with just over 10. I really wish they'd make more!!

Original: Haunted Attraction- Very long line, but we also went the Saturday before Halloween. Totally worth the wait. The actors were great, and I got thrown in to the mood by the fact that I couldn't see where they were coming from. They were so good, one even fooled my group into thinking it was a wax dummy. Definitely going again next year, and want to try their zombie run next!

Realistic and well laid out displays. Staff was respectful and approachable. The tour of the Asylum building was great with the different rooms and sound effects. This would be a great Halloween treat. I would recommend

I recently went with a group of friends on contact night and had a great time. The experience has solid production value and maintains an excellent atmosphere of immersive tension waiting for the next scare. Brighton finds the right balance of being scary without being the type of place your skittish friend has a mental breakdown in.

I had high hopes coming here after so many reviews. See the problem with it being so busy is that the interval of time between people going in is short. This causes traffic inside and kills the atmosphere and surprise of the experience.

It felt more like I was walking through a gallery of creepy stuff rather than being actually scared. Got scared one or twice maximum.

Dope, gave it 5 stars caused it was really good. Ive been before and they stepped their games up. Just wish the group of people who were scared in front of me didn't back the lines up..but can't fault the asylum for that it is scary

Who ever is in charge on handling your Google reviews is going to ruin your business, for answering so unprofessional and nasty instead of reviewing the errors your establishment is making and fixing them! They DO NOT enforce the Health regulations during COVID.

You re gonna sue me ? Lmao and take down the reviews by Monday ???? I guess you get rid of the bad reviews and keep the fake good reviews right? When you get that $10,000 fine you ll remember this

Lines were long, which should pretty much be expected at any of these places. That was pretty much the only down fall. They were great. You have all kinds of stuff going on...it's not just walking through a straight, steady ground. Scenes and decor are very detailed. The hack shack you MUST do. If I wasn't scared with anticipation of what was to come, I was literally jumping or screaming around every corner. The actors, which there are a whole lot of, are on point, they really do a great job. There's nothing "cheesy" about this place it really is very well done. Lastly, WEAR THE GLOW NECKLACE!!!
