I ve been visiting Brighton Asylum for
Many many years now. Every year in the past they have put on a wonderful show, but this year In particular they really out did themselves. They added so many wonderful additions to their attractions. The preshow was frightening and very interactive. The wait time flew by, as their queue line actors were very engaging and entertaining. The bleeding grounds attrcriom they added this year was AMAZING All of the actors are
Spot on, and do an amazing job. Unlike other haunts Brighton Asylum gives it their absolute all until every single customer has walked through their doors. One thing that could use
Improvement was the bus set up. For
The overflow parking. There was no one directing you where to go from drop off to the haunt. Other than that, I have zero complaints. The sets were amazing, the technology was mind blowing and their actors were on point. I will/do recommend this Haunt to everyone and anyone who asks me what attractiom they recommend checking out and will continue to do so!

I thought the haunted house was very well done...I'm not easily scared, but got me to jump and even scream. Had such a great time. The only negative was that I got a fast pass but I don't really see how it saved me time...seemed to take just as long. I would still definitely recommend going - one of the better haunted houses I've gone to.

Will never go back again. Waited 3+ hours in line to only make it halfway through. Nowhere does it say on their website that there would be a 5 to 6 hour wait just to get in. I emailed them and pretty much all they had to say was it's not our fault, sorry were popular, you should have done your research! They're a greedy company taking everyone's money and not caring about customer value. I tried to upgrade to vip tickets to go through faster and the ticket booth wouldn't allow me to. Horrible business! Nothing is worth wasting 5 or more hours of your life in line for!

I was pretty good...decent neighborhood but very nice staff. The two attractions together are abt 35 to 40 minutes. However it's kinda cloaked up and there is some really nice art work if you can see it in the dark. The Makeup is a 5.0...scare level 3.8 and overall a 4.0 out of 5.0. I would rate it higher but I have to be fair to the other attractions I have been too. DEFINETLY CHECK Them OUT..ITS WORTH THE MONEY

It s alright but not worth buying fast pass. Yeah line might be long but hatched shake and escape room very disappointing, museum has nothing interesting.
Haunted house is not bad they have some cool things. But as a fan of horror I m not impressed.

Went this pass Saturday and the wait time was insane. Staff kept stating it was an 1 hour wait but ended up being well over 3 hours. For the price and time your better off going to frightfest. The actual haunted house was ok but definitely not worth the wait. Hope this helps anyone looking to go. Just be prepared to wait

Was a sketchy location to begin with. The wait is literally 3 hours if you aren't getting there exactly when it opens. & even if you get there when it opens you'll still be waiting a good 2 hours. When you go inside the lights aren't dim enough so definitely doesn't set the mood. Not scary at all. Actually disappointed that this was rated #1 in NJ. Possibly because there are no other haunted houses in NJ. But definitely wouldn't recommend anyone go. Waste of money and most definitely time. Spend $20 more and go to Eastern State. You'll get your money's worth and a good scare.

I ve attempted to go twice to this attraction at different times this Halloween season and both times was just a mess. First time there was no one directing us on where to go, just a sign saying the parking lot was full. We ended up driving around in circles for half an hour looking for parking and just gave up. Second time there was someone directing traffic and she told us that the parking lot was full and that there was another parking lot and she said the name of the street as she was walking away so we just ended up leaving. The only reason this is getting two stars is because we did go to the Christmas attraction in December 2 years ago which was pretty good.

My fiance and I are haunted attraction junkies. We start in late September and don't stop until the last is closed in November and as far as the haunt itself goes I'd give it a 5/5. We went on blackout night and it was a great experience. A little short, but a memorable one.

The reason I give it a 4/5 is the whole experience felt very disorganized. There were very few signs to find your way to park and once we were there the lines were confusing and there was not much guidance from the staff. They also played the same music in line over and over for our 45 minute wait.

We will be back next year on a contact night. Some polishing around the edges and this is a 5/5 overall experience.

Awesome place, but I had an issue with one of the actors there, accusing me of touching them, which I know I didn't, but he or she was so aggressive with her accusation that I got severely upset and ended up ruining the rest of my night. My girlfriend told me that security followed us through the second haunted attraction.

Edit: Email sent.

It was awesome only problem I have was we went for their Christmas haunt and they build you up to see the final character but you never see him and it's kind of disappointing after the build-up. Overall great experience

I had high hopes for this place because it had so many positive reviews. The line was ridiculously long, parking was difficult, and the anticipation died out halfway through waiting. The actual attraction was short, people were easily spotted before popping out, and the attraction takes place inside a warehouse, not an asylum like they claim to be. If I was a child, then maybe I would have been scared but I found myself leaving disappointed, rushed, and unfulfilled. Don't waste your time or money. It's exciting until you're almost 2 hours into waiting (not even peak Halloween days) and finish the attraction in 20 min. They are better off just scaring you in line.... And no, I am not a competitor or confused.

Well let me start off by saying the only reason why I rated this a 2 star is because of the uneducated staff they had no idea what was going on. Also I bought the scared stiff pass and every one was mixed up in the line anyway with all different color rust bands then after we were done with both attractions were not able to do the escape room that I had paid for. But the actors and attraction were super good and very professional and I go to these haunted house's all over the country. And also parking was a nightmare. There was one sign with a arrow with no onw standing by it to tell you where to go it was very confusing.

I went there for the Night of the Creeps and it was amazing! I would rate this more than 5 star so out of 5 if I could! I want to start with the costumes. The people looked SO real, they looked exactly like they did in the horror movie. I love how the actors interact with you, they go up to you and say stuff to you, yell at you, etc. And one of the things that I liked the most was that even though I wasn't wearing a glow stick/glow necklace, they still touched me ((I'm pretty sure it was Michael Myers) grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back, Leatherface went after me and kept following me and then tried to saw with his chainsaw, etc. I don't want to ruin the whole thing, but you're in for TONS of surprises when you're at this place. Beware of moving floors (the elevator) and more. Waiting in the cold was so worth it for them! I love this place so much and will definitely be back! :D

Rating for Brighton Asylum: 1,000,000+/10.

Brighton Asylum is amazing hands down. The actors and detailed rooms were incredible. This is a horror lovers dream or nightmare. Watch as fear comes to life. Hands down The best place to experience the adrenaline of fear!!!!!!

After reading some of the other reviews posted I am amazed at people. Anywhere you go in the entertainment industry there will always be a line. To criticize an attraction because of a extended wait time is purely idiotic. People wait at restaurants for hours to be seated or wait to catch a new released movie, or even hours at Disney or Great Adventures. As for the weather, nobody controls that at all. To criticize an attraction for these issues is ridiculous, it sounds like people are upset because the red carpet wasn't rolled out and they weren't catered to. As far as the owners responses, well I personally feel he is right in his manner of the responses. He is being ridiculed and his craft is being slandered over stupidity. This attraction is the lively hood of many people and they all do one of hell of a job. For anybody to complain about these insignificant issues is just disgusting. Brighton Asylum is hands down one of the best haunted attractions I have been yo and I have traveled in and out of state to many. I ask that the owner and staff jeep up the good work and thanks for the scares!!!!

It was really fun and cool. The only thing is the line was SUPER long but I mean it makes sense. It was my first ever haunted house but I didnt find it scary. But it was still really fun and entertaining. Getting to the place was super shady and sketch. So if you dont think you can defend yourself from getting mugged dont go.

Hi, this is the 3rd time going to Brighton Asylum. But first time doing the escape rooms.
I went to the 1408 escape room today at 5:30. I usually go to the haunted houses and want to go to it this year. I got to the game and noticed it was so loud and noisy. They said there was some testing going on for the haunted house. Also, it was so hot and humid in the room. I couldn't enjoy it fully. I barely heard the sounds and what needed to be done to get to the next puzzle. I would like some kind of refund or something, as I didn't get to enjoy what was part of the experience. It was completely ruined with the testing area. I do plan to go to the haunted houses. So hopefully this gets resolved and I can enjoy it.

Best,

Anna

BRIGHTON ASYLUM IS BY FAR THE BEST HAUNTED ATTRACTION I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! I have been going here since I was just 12 years old and I am proud and honored to say as an 18 year old I have the ability to work there! They are such an amazing team and very organized, we take things with care and love to scare! Hope to see you there!!!

I've been all over for haunted attractions, went on a busy night, there was a main line, then a line to get into another line to get into the building, you'll be cold and hungry, might've waited 3 hours, enjoy

- not trying to be rude, I had a good time, lol

Let's just put it this way.....if you really want a GREAT scare Brighton Asylum is the place to be. Such a thrilling experience. Everything is so professionally done from the actors to the actual rooms. Have the most unique,bone-chilling,hair raising scares in NJ. Such a variety of things other than the three levels of scare, also can have fun at the hack shack and get your rage out while seeing creepy actors and scenery.

Went there before Halloween ... line was out of control and no way to skip the line. Went there after Halloween ... line was still an hour wait. This place is really popular - paid extra money to skip the line.

Once you're inside, it's about as scary as something you know is fake is going to be. If you wear a glow light around your neck, actors can touch you and they actually throw people around sometimes, etc. It's really cool and pretty unique.

Great attraction! My friend and I had so much. We both loved it. The employees were very helpful and friendly. We had an issue with a couple of ladies who were very drunk and the helped us and handled them so well!
