this place was okay not worth $43 for what I got tho.was expecting it to be way scarier but it could have been that all the actors were tired I only got in at 2 something but props to them they tried they best. Hope if I ever come back it s better than my first experience. Would have been better if you guys were to separate groups from each other and had it be a little scarier tho.<for that I would have definitely paid $43 or up

Waited in line for 3 hours for maybe 15 minutes of attractions. There were not that may actors and even the house you had groups of people making lines which ruins the thrill. I have been to universal horror nights and the headless horsemen this season and those were by far better. Universal was the same price as this 1 attraction place with a work discount. Dont waste your time!

The actual attraction was okay. The groups were so large that by the time you got to anything that actually scared you, you already knew it was going to happen. It took the fright out of it. We were scheduled for 10pm and didnt get to actually go into the asylum until nearly 12:30! The attraction it self was nice but having to wait in line for hours made the experience not worth it. I would love to come on a contact night, hopefully the lines and parking wont be as bad as a saturday night.

Wait was too long. No food. No rain cover. Took forever. Once inside they didnt pace you so you ran into the next crew. The 5 min room was impossible due to lighting. Get a hot dog truck nearby- dont do the 1 by 1 hot chocolate- lines took forever there too. It wasn't worth the 3 hour wait. Go to ESP or Baines instead. This places has potential. The characters were awesome. The flaws were as I mentioned. We left 6hrs later patched and starving.

Location adds to the scary effect. Park and walk. Went on a Saturday night. The line was extremely long but we had the fast pass. Both parts of the walk through experience took about an hour to get through. It was somewhat scary. Should ve had more actors. The best room was the clown and the doll like figures. Fun one time experience.

I've been to Brighton dozens of times for almost every event they have but last night was my first time trying their escape room. My group chose the 1408 escape and let me tell you... It was the best escape room I've been to. We escaped with 5 minutes to spare and it was hard! It really makes you use your brain and think outside the box. We couldn't make it without some hints haha. I don't wanna ruin it for others so I won't tell you too much but it was a perfect mixture of thrilling, spooky and fun. Also, the staff was friendly and super accommodating. The general manager took the time to tell us about all of the new things happening at Brighton and showed us around a bit (which was super cool!) I love this place and would absolutely recommend it to everyone!

I thought it was fun but the pace was extremely frustrating. We were first in line but some fast pass groups got in first. Understandable but they were wayyy too slow... we constantly caught up to them and saw so much happening before we got to the actual surprises. We also had people right behind us so we weren't going too fast. Ruined a lot of the experience for us. I appreciate the actors and all the workers for the great set but maybe allow more time between groups.

Update- being "checked in" doesn't mean you get in right away. Still gotta wait in multiple lines. So, as I confirmed, it was a 4 hour wait in line with no organization.

I was going through my google reviews and saw that this one somehow got flagged and deleted. hmmmm. ANYWAYS this is a review from October 2018 and I feel I have the right to repost.

The over 4 hour wait was definitely not worth it. Tickets were for 9:00, we didn't get in until almost 2am. After waiting in line, you then have to wait AGAIN when you get inside. Once we started going through, there were barely any actors throughout. I feel like because it was so late, everyone was over it. Low key boring. I m really disappointed at how lackluster this haunted attraction was and I do not recommend anyone wasting their time unless they are okay with wasting half of their night in a disorganized line. Dorney park has better attractions. This an honest review and I would appreciate not being attacked by the owner because by the looks of it, they cannot handle the 1-2 star reviews this place is getting.

The best of the best. Very scary! Great actors, amazing sets and props, Hollywood-worthy makeup and costumes and is run by very professional and friendly management. Will definitely be returning to Brighton Asylum!

We drove an hour and a half to come here and it was AMAZING. The interaction was insane, the actors were so talented. From the moment you step into the attraction the scaring start. It has something for everyone and hits everyone's fears to some degree. It has so many different parts to go into and explore. The escape rooms were a lot of fun and a great extra attraction to have. I liked that we got asked our input and what we liked and disliked after we exited the haunted house. We talked to one of the workers and he was great telling us different events they have throughout the year. We are already planning to come back for the haunted Christmas.

Hands down this is the best haunted house I have ever been to! Props to Connie, she really helped my group out. Our tickets wouldn't scan from the printed paper and she was able to get a manager to scan our tickets directly from a computer and it was super quick and easy! The haunted houses were simply amazing and we can't wait for The Bleeding Grounds!

update: just went back for one of their escape rooms. We played The Tomb. The decor was amazing and the game was super fun!

The 1408 escape room is not good. The clues are not well connected; they are just strewn about and offer zero insight into what's going on. You get unlimited clues because it's impossible otherwise to understand where to go next. Also, lots of mosquitos! Bug spray was offered, but they were still annoying.

The entrance is hard to find... There are no visible signs leading to the entrance. You have to walk down a dark wet alley the through a parking lot of semi trailers. Trying to find the place was almost as scary as the actual scare house.

It didn't scare me but it scared plenty of others and they really go all out with the theme and the characters, and there were many good parts that made the trip worth it but I really went for the kids and let me tell u they were plenty scared lol, I would definitely recommend and trust me it wasn't just for children there were plenty of adults screaming too.... But I'm letting u know right now even if its more expensive I definitely recommend fast pass the lines just to get in were ridiculous with fast past I didnt even have to wait for my time slot I just bypassed all of it and got in almost right away

I bought my tickets online thinking I would get in faster, according to the website. Ended up waiting online for and hour and a half before getting inside. Once inside it's not an actual asylum like they try to claim on their website, it's a warehouse that it's too lit up to be scary. You can see where all the actors are hiding.
Also they rush you through like cattle, for a 20 min experience.

Waste of time and money!

Omg! Omg! Omg! For my first time experiencing a haunted house this was definitely the way to go. I had sooooo much fun from beginning to end. It s a definite must do, must go, must see. It s worth every single penny. I don t want to ruin or spoil the surprise. So all I m going to say is go and check it out yourself. I went on a Friday night for 9pm and the line moved very nicely, weather was great, lots of entertainment while waiting on line so the wait does not seem long at all. Actually there is one tiny small negative there s a lady who was directing us where to stand once we entered the haunted house and she had a really nasty bad attitude. I do remember that I kept saying for my very first experience entering the haunted house she really almost killed my vibe. I get it she s trying to move people along, but if someone is scared upon entering isn t that the whole point, NO! She gets an attitude cause you get scared not very nice on her part. She did rub me the wrong way and a few guest behind me felt the same and said the same. Other then the encounter with her. It s amazing. A MUST DO! 10 stars if I could. Would definitely go back for Valentines and other holidays I just found out they are open for. Thanks Brighton Asylum and All the staff who made it one HELL of a scary night!!!

Due to Covid we settled on this spot. Not only ia their cuatomer service never answer, we couldn't enjoy all the events we paid for. We tried calling to clear up if fast pass would be necessary for the last showing and left messages multiple times to no avail. Not only weren't we able to do all the events we paid for, we only got to one. Avoid gicing away your money to a schemer

Let me start off by saying my friend and I had a total blast at Brighton Asylum for Friday the 13th. Be prepared to park off-site as the lot gets full quickly--luckily we had a Mini Cooper to squeeze into a small spot. The designated t-shirt staff is helpful in directing you to where you need to go upon arrival. Our wait time to get into both The Tunnel and The Asylum was surprisingly quick considering it was Friday the 13th. The staff does their best to get everyone organized into groups to transition you into the attractions smoothly. The actors on the outside do a great job of interacting, having fun, taking selfies, etc.

As for the attractions themselves, they are works of art. Personally, I don't get scared easily but I enjoy haunted attractions for the fun of it. The actors really have a great time bantering and scaring guests, so it's totally entertaining if you're with people who get scared easily. Both The Tunnel and The Asylum are warm and do require some physicality aside from walking, so dress properly. The actors are also great about not touching you, but be prepared for them to enter your personal space.

I'll be totally honest when I say I wasn't really digging just a few aspects of the attractions. There was a problem during our time in The Tunnel because it wasn't clear where we were supposed to go, so two groups ended up fumbling around a hallway trying to figure out which way to go. I don't want to spoil it, but in The Asylum there are two areas you need to stop and time yourself passing through because of an interaction. This caused somewhat of a traffic jam, so to avoid getting hit, my friend had to jump back, causing me to jump back and stumble into an older man. I think this could be much smoother for guests if they had one of the actors assisting like they do for some of the other physically interactive features. Since it was Friday the 13th, I think we both expected there to be more of a theme aside from Jason Voorhees randomly appearing during one passage of the attraction. Overall, we had a great time and can't wait to check out what Brighton Asylum brings in 2018.

played their escape rooms and was a little disappointed. The effort and imagination was good but it was difficulty that set the tone. In the Tomb, it took my group 30min to open the 1st lock. The rest of the game was fun but HALF the game on A SINGLE LOCK!? That's no fun. Then we played 1408 and it was a little too easy, escaped with 20+ min to spare. Overall though, worth the money, need some tweeks though

2nd time I've been. Great show. However, the line is incredibly long. Like, 3.5 hours long. They got kinda lazy and didn't give us the last "main attraction" because I guess it was late and every1 gave up on being scary but... eh. I liked it. Woulda been better if I didn't tire and get so frustrated and cold waiting in rain so long. Definitely worth going tho

The whole experience was amazing. The only CON was that it was super packed and they didn't wait for the next group to go in. So we literally seen the people in front getting scared, so we already knew it was coming. I would hope that this year they let a small group of people go one at a time. That would've made the whole experience perfect.

Very good! Staff is kind and helpful. The escape room (1408) is definitely challenging and worth the money. I loved it and will give you hints if you need it. They don't deduct time for hints. Full one hour. I highly reccomend.

This place needs a lesson in management. The wait times are ridiculous. Why schedule times and then have your customers wait in such long lines. There is no type of crowd control and people just cut the line the entire time. Should be first come first serve. Way more better places than this and no waiting. Poor customer service. Poor organization.

This experience was a good one. We came from long island to Passaic for this event. The lines were long. And I must advise you to get there early. We got there early at 9 for a 10:00 event and didn't get in until 10:40. I don't scare easily but it was a great experience! It takes roughly 45 minutes for the whole event. But if you don't mind the lines it is great! Enjoy your time there

Went tonight for Dark Valentine. My first time there. I chose the "touch" option with the glow necklace. I had a great time. Very cool actors with great makeup. Very nice staff, you can tell they enjoy their job. It's nice that there are many exits in case of emergency or if you just get too scared. The wait time was short only about 15 minutes. Can't wait to go back for another event with more friends.

Went here last year for Halloween and Christmas and loved it...long line but scary and worth it! HOWEVER, this time was different. We arrived at 11:30 for a 12:00 time slot and we didn t get inside until 2:30am!!!! The line had 2 scarers when last year they had 6 or 7. Last year they had lots of actors, this year barely any. We walked through the building and it was horrible to be honest. We walked through 5 or 6 rooms and not one actor popped out to scare us. The bridges that were supposed to drop from under you never did. The floors that were supposed to move never did, and it just wasn t scary this year. And there was a chainsaw guy at the end for everyone before us...however when we got to the end he was no where to be seen. Also, there were bubbles that you could walk through at the end which I was looking forward too, however they were gone when we exited...not everyone gets the same experience, that s not fair! Not to mention there was no parking so we had to park on the street.

You re disgusting!! I can t believe anyone would degrade their customers in such a hideous way that you just did, if there were 125 actors, where were they? Also I find it interesting how you didn t deny any other mishappenings because you know they are true, the bubbles were gone! Also, I have a video that is time stamped of a scarer in line two hours ago...which was 2:30, I was planning on going back but not after your disgusting and melecious attack on your valued paying customer...you ought to be ashamed of yourself

It has taken me some time to digest my experience ...

It has taken me some time to digest my experience with Brighton Asylum (both during the haunt and with their customer service after) and redraft my review. I will break this review into two separate parts.

1. Review of the Haunt
-- Waited for 3 hours to get in. While it says online that this may happen, my group had asked an employee how long we'd be waiting to see if it was worth the purchase of the FastPass, and he wrongly estimated "about an hour" (we got there as the haunt was opening.) Had we known the actual wait time, we would have opted for the FastPass to get in more quickly.
-- Characters outside do not scare people, rather they walk around to pose for photos. While some patrons enjoy this, I feel as though it takes away from the overall experience. My group also heard some of the employees in costume speaking with patrons, which I feel is an abandonment of character.
-- Despite the fact that we were waiting to avoid "conga-lining" into the attraction for a more personal experience, we still ran into the group in front of us, and the group behind us caught up as well. This caused actors to be out of character and out of place as we came upon them.
-- The haunt itself is inside of a warehouse. You can look up in many parts and see things moving and pieces of exposed scares, taking away from being engrossed in the -many and varying, from hospital to mining to giant spiders? - themes.
-- The props are of a higher quality and the makeup on actors inside the haunt is higher quality as well.
** Overall I would give the haunt a 2/5 star review. While there were some interesting parts, I feel as though it is misleading to refer to it as "Brighton Asylum" as much of the haunt itself has nothing to do with this theme.

2. Review of the Customer Service
-- When I originally posted my review (it can be seen on Yelp), I gave this establishment 2/5 stars explaining my issues with the haunt and, separately, my issues with staff themselves.
-- Brighton chose to respond incredibly defensively, stating that my review had "factual errors" although a review is an opinion-based, factual account of my experience. Patrons curious about the negative responses from Brighton can easily see it on many of the negative reviews (not mine alone) on multiple reviewing sites (Yelp, Google, Facebook).
-- I felt and still feel as though their response was not only rude but unprofessional. They proceeded to state that I worked for a competing attraction, so as to deter patrons from weighing my review as worthy.
-- I received a private message from a Brighton employee's personal Facebook account bribing me to remove my review by refunding me (something I assume they've done many times despite their policy stating online and at the attraction that no one will ever receive a refund). I did not remove my review.
-- Multiple employees of Brighton reached out to me on Facebook, Yelp, through my personal email and with blocked phone calls (they explained that they found my personal information with which to contact me from my credit card purchase of tickets) explaining that I was refunded and they would sue me if I did not remove my review. I received direct insults to me personally, threats of legal action, and inappropriate messages for many stages back and forth because I chose to stand my ground and support my right to not only share my experience, but to defend myself personally against what I felt was harassment.

The final offer I gave to Brighton was a redrafted, factual review omitting any additional comments back and forth (of which there are many, and of which I have documented and compiled.)

This is my final review, with no bells and whistles, just facts, but with concern for those patrons offering their money to a company I feel has a very blatant disregard for their wellbeing and a very unprofessional and, in my opinion, harassing way of handling negative reviews.

No where on the website or the FAQ does it say that if you get a ticket for 11 pm you ll wait for over an hour & a half and get no where even close to the front of the line, got completely overcharged ($103 for 2 tickets off their website because the scared straight pass was the only one available), and didn t even get in, the line was OUT of CONTROL. So poorly managed. Don t bother. Came all the way from Boston for this and got totally screwed.

In October the wait is longer is not CLEARLY STATING that the line is 3+ hours long

Owner should spend less time sitting in an office reading and responding to google reviews and more time fixing the absolute cluster of a line outside!
