Place was nice. Very crisp and clean aesthetic and facilities. Definitely had more of a high-end vibe to it. Something I really liked was the live musician they had for the ambience music. Staff were very courteous and efficient even at peak busy time. The prices were too high for the quality and quantity of the food though, a make or break for me. Menu selection was also a bit limited for my liking too, vegan options are what drew us here thanks to some vegan family members.

Let me start off with saying that this is a beautiful restaurant on the Columbia River and it's wonderfully decorated and has the utmost attention to detail. A party of four, we arrived on time and we're received on time next to the water for a beautiful view. We were asked what we wanted to drink and there is an extensive wine collection so if you want to get there early and look over the wine, that's a great idea. Next we ordered appetizers. Breaded califlower, pork belly, and crackers and cheese. The breaded califlower was lightly dusted and sweet. The home made crackers could use some flavor, the flour taste was overwhelming. We had for dishes for dinner. The Mayan salad was beautifully presented. My sister loved it with yams and the tomatoes and the salad dressing and fresh beats. She really enjoyed that salad and would order it again. As I said, it was a beautiful dish. My other sister had a large dinner salad and it was just as pretty with gorgeous colors in all the vegetables and so fresh and delicious. My husband had the fried cod with fries. It's a large amount of fish and it was battered in a rice flour and maybe baked? It could have a little more taste to it but he did eat it all and said the french fries were delicious. I had the short ribs for dinner Again like the other three plates all were presented beautifully. The chef really knows how to do presentation and put a plate together. The polenta with Parmesan was delicious as were the green beans. I enjoyed the short rib however I think they could have trimmed the fat off of it first before they cooked it, but again a beautiful plate. If we had one thing to say that did not quite meet our expectation, it would be the service. Very attentive until she was busy. We could not get our check and we still don't know if there was an option for dessert.

Wow! This place is amazing! I was expecting something special from what I had seen online, but my experience here was way more than just special. The service is excellent, even with the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Every staff member was so friendly and accommodating. And the food, OMG, the food! So much flavor and the presentation is top notch. Fish and chips, calamari, and a salmon BLT are just some of the delicious meals you'll find here. I will definitely be back and highly suggest giving this place a try if you haven't already.

Food was great. We ordered mutiple small plates rather than large plates just to try their specialities. Price is almost same as formal dining places. View from the restaurant is spectacular.

Cool atmosphere right on the Columbia river. Beautiful view under the Astoria bridge. Good food and good drinks. Fun to watch the wild life in the water while you dine.

Update went back for dinner as I was staying at the Cannery Hotel. You must try the Dungeness crab cheese cake. Sounds strange but its fantastic! Chili lime prawns and mushroom soup was great too.

Good food, seafood based. Good service and great wine selection. my only complaint is the poor quality bread. With one of the best bakeries on the Coast they should be sourcing bread from The Blue Scorcher. The bread they serve tastes and feels like the frozen bread from the grocery store made with poor quality flour.
Prices are such that we save going here for special occasions.
Recommended to make reservations as it can get crowded entailing long waits.

Service, atmosphere and location are great. Everything we ate was overpriced for how average it tasted. Had it been been prepared with more creativity and flavor the price would be fine, but nothing impressed me more than an Applebee level cooking. Disappointing!

Food is good, however, if you are on a tight budget I don't recommend this place. Only problem was they didn't have the curtousy to wait until my husband and I were done eating before they lit candles on our table and changed out decorations during our meal. I feel it's very unprofessional to do this.

Hostess was not friendly or attentive when we arrived on time to our reservation that we booked a week in advance. Took 15 additional minutes to seat us. Then, we were sat at arguably the most undesirable table in the restaurant, by the kitchen and with a slim view of the river.

Service was slow and the waitress was clueless about the menu and didn t have suggestions when we asked about food pairings.

Food was simply, just okay .

We didn t enjoy the rude and aloof service or the food. We called later to address those issues and we were dismissed and hung up on. We won t be coming back:

Great flavors and best view in town. You can't beat the location and the staff are attentive and friendly. All three of our dishes (fishcakes, mushroom soup and grilled garlic) were flavorsome and tasty. They also have a great selection of wines plus deserts were delicious too. Recommend.

Got the special. Mahi Mahi
The chowder was fantastic! And the cosmoperiton was delicious! Stopped by on a last vacation dinner! Highly recommended

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! Awful service, was seated and never got a waitress for 30 minutes. Sad part is they were not even busy only a couple of tables. Once we ordered, they gave us the wrong soups and forgot our salads. After consistent reminders to other staff we got our correct soup, and salad. Food was mediocre, nothing special. Fisherman sandwich wouldn't make a child full. Had the burger, worst stomach ache after eating. Advice, avoid this place at all costs. Plenty of great restaurants in Astoria, this is not one of them.

Location and view of the River makes this place. My meal, fishNchips very dry, the batter is off and their own version, I wount order again. My wife's Salmon sandwich was very good. Service is quick even with a full house, will be back - jack!

Great place!! Me and my family go here every year for vacation... been going since I was a kid and I've always had a pleasant experience. Just ordered the Rib Eye Steak, and for appetizers tried the lamb skewers, very tasty stuff! As for the servers, the majority of the time they have been friendly to us, and we've had excellent service, I recommend checking this place out of youre visiting the Astoria area.

Great for a casual lunch.

Great for a casual lunch.
I used to think Bridgewater was a really cool, retro dinner date spot. It has these elevated half-circle booths, facing a great river view. I half expected to bump into the Rat Pack. The best chowder ever, and these dessert flights things. But. My hubby and I chose this place for our 25th anniversary. We Made reservations and told them about our anniversary. We asked if we could be seated in a booth. We were told yes. Instead we were seated at a tiny table right by the bar and the entrance. There were other tables crammed into the same space, they were all anniversaries too. The constant traffic, who knocked things over, and bumped into me, pulling my hair, well. Thank you very much for the unforgettable night, Bridgewater. Too bad it wasn t a positive one.
Lunchtime allows you to see the river view, so I d stick to that.

I had Crab cake burger with amazing Sriracha sause. Stopped on our way during our road trip. This is the first restaurant we visited during Covid. Amazing service, following all the guidelines. Super impressed. Highly recommend to stop by

The interior is beautiful and the view is magnificent. The cocktails are great and so is the service. The only problem is, the food is hit or miss. Sometimes it seems the chef gets to creative and just wants to incorporate every trending food into one dish whether the flavors and textures meld well together or not.

The clam chowder was excellent and the waiter suggested the kids' portion of fish and chips because I didn't want an adult size. Great views, lovely decor. Fast and friendly. Average prices for excellent food.

The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were impeccable. Prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and venue. This will be added to my list each time I visit Astoria.

We called five minutes prior to arriving at BB on Sunday morning, to verify that there was no wait, & to ask if we needed to make reservations. We were told by man on the other end that we were OK to walk in, & there was no need for reservations at that time (we got there within five minutes of them opening and there were PLENTY of OPEN table!). Upon walking in, an Elderly Manager (Female, brown hair) looked us up & down with a look of disgust (I'd been in a biking accident the day before so I was unable to look up to her standards apparently) & interrupts me when I say we are there for brunch, with "Reservations!?!?!" I explain that we just called minutes prior & were told it was unnecessary, that we were OK to walk in. At that moment she & the hostess start laughing at me & talking in front of me, my husband & our daughter, implying that I was lying. She proceeds to read me the riot act, telling me that it is Fathers Day (The reason we were there!), & I tell her that is the reason we called ahead and came in at that moment, due to the response of the male I spoke to. She say "even if it weren't Fathers Day" that she was waiting on other wait staff to show up and we had "AT LEAST" a 15 minute wait. Looking around at a nearly empty restaurant I say that we are fine with that small wait. At this point the wait is not the issue. In addition to the restaurant being scarcely populated, we witnessed a staff of approx seven people walking the bottom floor. While waiting, a nicely dressed older woman comes in & asks us if the wait is long. My husband explains to her that we didn't have reservations. She replies that she didn't either and proceeds to walk up to the counter to be seated. The same manager greets her with a smile & explains that its Fathers Day & tells her that her wait shouldn't be long. None of the same chastising, or ridiculing. The Bartender even offers to make her a drink even. All the while, we are treated like trash. Finally after the EXACT 15 minutes, the manager tells her hostess in font of us that she can "tell Courtney and her party that their table is ready". Literally in front of us. The Hostess has taken her queue from her manager, and rudely seats us. I am ready to cry and we are seated. We sit, wait & mull over with disbelief of how we were treated, on FATHERS DAY nonetheless. As we wait we hear the manager barking orders at the hostess, saying that she doesn't want the empty tables to "look ready" to anyone that has walked in and they proceed to shuffle things about and head to the outside seating and put away all of the seating. Such a control freak that she was willing to turn people away that didn't look uppity enough or have reservations. While those that looked the part came in very high maintenance, we are super easy going and just wanted to eat a decent meal.

Our first waitress introduces herself, and soon abandons us and we wait some more. It felt like we were being punished for not making a reservation. In reality we don't live in Astoria and we are just passing through on our way home from Glamping/RV Camping. Due to the aforementioned accident the day before, I didn't have time to make my Husband breakfast before heading back home. At the recommendation of some of our customers/clients we decided to give BB a try. Never have I felt so judged, discriminated against & offended while readily paying upwards of $65 for a party of three for breakfast.

I hope treating well paying customers like garbage was worth it. We are small business owners and cannot even fathom how this woman is the face of this restaurant. She is a horrible, mean person and we will not be back. We plan to share our experience with anyone that brings BB up in the future. We frequent the area and they definitely lost big, even though we are a small party.

On another note, the food was OUTSTANDING as was the value for what we received. If you like to be judged and treated badly, but want good food, this is the place for you!

I would give this place 5 stars, it's a decent place with nice river view, but I was disappointed because I asked for a side of celery sticks or other vegetables with ranch and my server said we don't have anything you can dip and eat, but couple minutes later I see someone next table has perfect vegetable try with celery sticks, carrots and cucumbers.

The food was so good, the view was gorgeous. There is indoor and outdoor seating both with a view of the bridge over to Washington state. There is also what looks like a cute little hotel just off a dock in the same area. The Bridgewater bistro is right near when you pull into astoria

Good food, but maybe a little overpriced. Classic martini for $12. So-so whiskey sour. OK Hungarian Mushroom, lots of mushrooms and onions, but little character. Crab with avocado over toast was sublime. Good crab and mussel soup. Outstanding view, good service.
