We were very well received. Both Dutch and French! We had a Chalet by the river in the garden. This was soothing. Chalet was taken care of to perfection. Great sleep, good bed!
We continued to eat in the restaurant in the evening. Price quality was okay. Everything taken care of, very friendly staff!
The environment is also great! At the reception we asked for a few walking routes. We received a good explanation about the different walking tours. Which route takes the longest, is the hardest, ...
Breakfast was certainly enough and okay! We have enjoyed a hearty breakfast every morning. We had to work a bit after breakfast, which was perfect at the bar / lobby with a coffee. There Wi-Fi and also some tables where we could work. The bar itself is very cozy by the fireplace in the evenings. We played board games that the hotel also had available.
In short. Great chalets, great hotel and good reception. See them again!

Super nice hotel with very friendly staff. Cozy town and very beautiful region. 2 Minuses, only French items on the TV. And unfortunately I am a picky eater and menu was a bit too special for me.

Very cozy hotel, especially the bar with fireplace really exudes the Ardennes atmosphere. Very friendly staff, fantastic location too. The only criticism is the kitchen for dinner .. barely 2 croquettes and barely garnished with the meat, that may be a bit more.

Aging hotel but what gives it a certain charm.

The staff are lovely and helpful
The breakfast is hearty without being too much.
The big negative is the sound insulation, we all live together in the elevator with the traffic ...
We also tested the restaurant, not at all up to the price

Very nice hotel, frankly delicious cuisine. The staff is very kind. Relaxing weekend. Only downside, the staff should be dressed appropriately for a hotel in this category. (At the indoor dinner in bermuda, breakfast training and slippers with pompoms it is frankly not the top.) For the rest everything is very good.

The rooms are functional, nothing more. The restaurant offers a simple and enjoyable menu. The location is perfect for hiking in the area. The room we had was very noisy at night because of the watercourse (white water); earplugs are needed. The service is friendly but is not very synchronized in terms of timing (sometimes very long waiting time to take an order and service of the entry while the appetizer has just been served). A drink by the fire is the best solution ;-).

Dogs allowed brought us here. Clean rooms. Slightly smaller rooms, but modern with all the usual luxury available. Fairly good food at normal prices: 100 euros for a 3-course menu for 2 persons, drinks included. Sleeping with the soft chatter of the semois in the background.

Arrived here via gift voucher! Very friendly staff, the room was somewhat old-fashioned (only glass and small bathroom) but clean so okay! First evening also eaten here and was quite tasty! Very nice area for walks with the dog!

Nice hotel for a short stay. Room was clean but small and dated. Breakfast was tasty and plenty of choice. You only have 30 minutes to have breakfast with the covid19 situation. Evening meal was nice but nothing special. Nice garden with a river to stroll around.

We have just spent one night after participating in the Ardennes. Beautiful riverside hotel, very friendly and welcoming staff, very good restaurant, the hotel has a lounge with bar, a lift, a restaurant, a breakfast room, a parking and a terrace.

A fantastic hotel in the Ardennes. Everything is taken care of down to the last detail. Beautiful and well-kept room and spacious bathroom. Everything very neat and cozy, as it should be. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and there is an eye for every detail of every dish. In the bar you can enjoy the fireplace. In short, pure enjoyment and relaxation. An absolute must to stay here. Very friendly welcome and the staff are friendly and nothing is too much for them. Only praise for this hotel and the staff. Super nice area for walking and staying.

TLDR: not modern but comfortable and clean hotel with friendly people. Kitchen not for everyone (quite chic) but very tasty. Near the center of Vresse from which you can easily leave for walks.

Booked 2 nights with breakfast via bongo-coupon.
- Authentically furnished hotel with a cozy bar with a beautiful fireplace to enjoy a coffee or a book after your walk, possibly from the provided bookcase (Pieter Aspe, Roald Dahl, ...).
Friendly service by multilingual staff.
- Rooms are a bit dated and bathroom could use some work but clean and everything worked. Our room faced the street and we feared noise pollution as you are on a main road but when we were reading in bed at night and when I turned around again in the morning I didn't hear a car passing. At the rear, a small river flows at a decent pace along rocks, so you can hear that quite a bit.
In the garden there were a number of chalets with a sitting area and several bedrooms, perfect for families.
- Dogs are welcome at an additional cost

- The bar has a wide choice of aperitifs, digestifs, beers and coffees (irish, french, scottish, spanish, ... no hipster coffee;) There are really many seats, which makes it seem a bit full.
- Breakfast is neatly presented with an assortment of cheeses and meats, rolls, croissants and pastries, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, bacon with scrambled eggs or a boiled egg, 2 types of juices (unfortunately not fresh) and a coffee machine that you can use yourself can choose between different types of coffee.

The only downsides I can find are:
- no digital TV and apart from one and ketnet you only have French channels
- For me, staff do not need to wear a fancy uniform, but staff who supplement breakfast in the morning can at least wear a little "neat" clothing. Such baggy pants with glitter on the side and a loose t-shirt that hangs halfway off the shoulder didn't really seem like the kind of clothing to work with in a hotel.

White water is a typical and representative place of the Vresse-sur-Semois region.
No frills, slightly outdated decor, indisputable menu, suitable prices.
It is the pure and hard Ardennes, held by Flanders, for demanding Flemings, and appreciated by the Ardennes.
A good fire, in velvet armchairs, with a generously served digestive.
