Always awesome food and service. Thank you for a great anniversary. We love this place. Missed Isabella playing the piano tonight but it's a Tuesday.

I only rated 3 stars as it is a little pricey in my opinion. The food was fresh and tasted good, but the menu was a little boring (on the seafood side) and overpriced. We were both craving a seafood pasta without cream sauce, but there wasn't anything on the menu close (there was a Cioppino but didn't want to pay $35.00). We drove down the Oregon Coast from BC interior and stopped at many seafood restaurants along the way, and had the best Cioppino we've ever had for $22.00 in a town not to far from Astoria. If you have money to burn, I would definitely recommend this place, but if you are on a budget, I'm sure you could find a less expensive place for fish and chips.

Upon recommendation from the hotel staff, I made dinner reservations at Bridgewater Bistro. Great call.
I had the Cippino with a very nice side salad. Very, very good. Fresh seafood, perfectly cooked. Not as spicy as some of the SF area dishes, but a solid tomato and fish broth that married well with the shellfish and salmon.
Service was on point. Very friendly, and made great recommendations.
I was there as the sun began to set. The view was amazing.
Highly recommend.

Celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. At a perfect place! 5 Stars is not enough! We've loved coming here since we were teens. From the Shoalwater to the Bridgewater Bistro, we have been fans. The food is exceptional, far beyond fine dining but feels comfortable enough to wear your street clothes. We had the whole menu practically. Oysters shooters, Steamed Manilla Clams, Clam & Mussel Chowder and the Hungarian Mushroom Soup. For the mains we had the Duck Breast, med rare and the Petite Filet with Crab. Paired well with a 2017 Januik Cabernet Sauvignon. And the dessert trio, 2 Chocolate Kaluha Silk Pie and a Lemon Raspberry Posset. WHEW! All this coupled with the cozy warm lights, the bridge and water views and a lovely piano... a very good night!

Got treated badly, super slow service, tables around us got served before us even if they came after us. Do NOT order off the kids menu what so ever. Get better quality in looks and taste from McDonald's dollar menu instead of paying $7 for something here.

Hostess was extremely rude and unwelcoming. When I asked to sit outside on the patio she said it would be difficult for her waitresses to serve me out there even though the restuarant was quite empty with maybe 3-4 tables to serve at max.The hostess also stated that they were in between lunch and dinner and that the menu options were going to be limited and that they were under staffed as well. She seemed very reluctant to serve me and was essentially encouraging me to go elsewhere with her attitude.

Felt well cared for. Food was tasty and worth the prices IMO. Live piano really hit the mark. Steak was great, cioppino was good, and even the burger was done very well. Drinks were on point, my wife loved the stuffed olives in the Martini. Great spot for celebrating. They even had a cutout in the floor so you could see down under the pier!

This was our first time dining at Bridgewater Bistro. We picked it based on the great reviews and it was more then we expected. We were dining in for brunch this past Sunday and started with Some cocktails of which I ordered the Bloody Mary with scratch made Mary Mix, it was amazing. Then we split the Chorizo and Chick Pea Soup after which My son and I had the Wild Salmon BLT my daughter had Basil Pesto Chicken Salad. They were all out of this world good. Since it was my son s birthday we decided to split the Chocolate Silk Pie for desert, the perfect ending to the meal. My family and I have been in the restaurant business for quite a few years, we love to cook and can appreciate scratch made food. You can certainly tell that the owners care very much about the art of preparing food and use fresh ingredients. You should definitely dine here.

A favorite stop of ours in Astoria. Very pretty restaurant on the water with excellent food. Don't miss the brunch! And kids will love the (ex-) pirate under the glass floor.

Food: This is the Mayan salad, a cup is the Hungarian Dill mushroom soup and Alaskan cod street tacos. All very yummy, I think I would have liked a sprig of dill just to drive it home, I personally didn't think I could taste it, I love dill, so maybe I want the boldness more than others ...
Atmosphere: Wasn't overcrowded, presentation was superb and service was great, actually so good....we got dessert. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of that, it was delicious! Overall, very elegant atmosphere. The gift shop had some super fun items as well.
Alcohol: We had North Jetti Porter and a pretty awesome Bloody Mary. I'm but a Bloody Mary but, they have a descent one. Thank you for caring about all the details.
Thanks!

Food was delicious and wonderful of course, however a majority of the staff were not as wonderful. My family and I were there celebrating getting to finally spend some time together, as well as several birthdays and wedding anniversaries and so this was to be a special dinner for us. Yet how we were treated by some of the staff, sadly left a bit of a bad taste in our mouths. From our arrival for our reservation (a time frame the host offered up by the way) to even the simplist task of requesting suggestions for dinner, to then basically being "herded out", apparently 1-2 minutes past their close time at the end of the evening (which we didn't even know by the way and truly provided us basically 1 hour for a lovely and very expensive dinner - expense relating to the timeframe one typically is allowed to sit and eat), I have to say I was a little shocked and taken back. It was as if we were an inconvenience, yet goodness the bill I paid said otherwise. With everything that is going on these days, we are/were extremely appreciative to be able to finally have the opportunity to do something like this and I was happy to pay the bill for such a nice and wonderful meal, as I always have in the past by the way. Sadly though I am not sure I will ever go back again, simply because of how we were treated. At the end of it all, despite the snobbish attitudes and plain old rudeness from some of the staff, my family and I did enjoy our food and made it as wonderful a time as we could with one another. Hopefully they will get back to a more pleasant atmosphere again.

Staff was absolutely lovely, location is great and the setup is nice. Got our food before we got silverware or napkins. Bread before dinner is cold and dry; got the short ribs and it was dry and like stew meat, though the clams and polenta were great.

My wife and some great friends stopped here on our way to Cannon Beach. Fantastic ambiance, service, food and cocktails. I had the Thai Braised beef sandwich and it was by far the best sandwich I have Ever had. Very highly recommended place to eat and relax. The view was outstanding. We'll be going there every time we visit that part of the Oregon coast.

Every dish was beautifly presented and the flavors were to die for and I wanted to try everything. We will be back and share our experiance with everyone I am sure.

Great location, great views, really good food with "gluten free" (GF) and "vegan" options for those who struggle. I found that on the Oregon Coast businesses are not too aware when it comes to nutritional restrictions like mentioned above. This place has gluten free bread made in house and both my boys enjoyed their chicken strips and crispy cod.
As an added bonus, the decor fit the bill.

After being forgotten for about 2 hours at the bar despite repeated reminders of my party's prescence we were finally seated only to not get bread with our meal until we asked. The meal had arrived by the time we asked. I could not get a beer for the first 20 minutes at the bar either. I'm 6'4" and about 250 so a little hard to miss while waving a credit card around. The owner argued how it was not his fault he forgot us and the only saving grace was our server once she realized the situation. Total time 3 hours and I eat fast. Never again. Ymmv.

Zero stars. Save your money and go down the street to Bowpicker Fish and Chips. the bistro had awful customer service. Horrible food and over priced/expensive. My classic burger was pure charcoal and got soggy fish & chips. GROSS!

OMG, the best restaurant in Astoria! Pricey but very good! We take Grandma here every time. So, so good! Nice wine selection. LOve the hole in the floor view to the pier pilings! Crazy view! High end restaurant that is pricey for Astoria but not so bad compared to a big city. The food is just outstanding. We have been many times, never disappointed. We have had to wait in front of the fireplace several times.....too long but we didn't make a reservation. Make a reservation!

Despite the beautiful and romantic atmosphere with the Columbia river outside the windows and live piano music playing, the food was lacking the "wow" factor that the cost should have reflected. On top of that, our waitress didn't tell us of any changes on the menu until she arrived to take our orders. We came in for their clam chowder, and were told that it wasn't available due to being short staffed and the potatoes didn't get cooked fully, so the whole batch had to be thrown out that MORNING?!! Not quite understanding why that wasn't told to us as soon as we were given our menus, and why wasn't there anyone else to cook more clam chowder since that morning? The salads lacked flavorful dressings, "housemade bread" lacking flavor, and the soups needed seasoning. A glorified retirement home sort of food in our opinion. Very bad first impression and we won't be back.

What a nice stop on a long journey. First of all, the view of the bridge just can't be beat. It's off the street far enough that it's peaceful. You would think that for such lovely ambiance, you're going to pay quite a premium. However, there are many unique and affordable items on the menu. The staff are attentive, kind, and willing to help make the tough choices. I ordered a couple items from the small plates menu and was not disappointed. Also judging by noises from nearby tables, other diners we're similarly pleased After my meal, I was still nursing my cocktail so my server suggested a little relax time by the fire. She even brought a little table for my drink. I was travelling solo, so the extra attention was very much appreciated. I will definitely stop at Bridgewater Bistro again.
