This was not exciting.

This was not exciting.

I went at night, which is actually cheaper than during the day even though to me, seeing the buildings lit up against a dark sky and reflections in the water is much more scenic. You wouldn't think it, but it's still rather humid at night, so I could only imagine what it'd be like during the day with the sun beating down on me.

As others have mentioned, as long as you can climb ladders, you'll be fine. The climb is not physically demanding and it goes at a very slow pace. You're on the bridge for three hours, but the amount of time spent walking is probably around 30 minutes. The rest of the time, you're standing, but you have plenty of railings to lean against if you're concerned about getting tired.

My biggest issue with the climb is that you see pretty much everything you're going to see at the very beginning of the climb. You start underneath the bridge through paths to get to ladders that bring you to the actual bridge climb. Once you start climbing the arch, you can see everything and the short half-bridge distance you travel does little to vary your view.

The constant start/stop pace bored me. You spend most of the three hours waiting, under the guise of a "tour", for the group before you to finish taking pictures. We were lucky to have a clear day, but the resulting pictures were rather underwhelming. Any of the pictures you see online where the Sydney Opera House is really large and clear are not the reality. It's small and far in the background; you, a giant obtrusive figure in the foreground.

Much like many other tourist attractions in any country you visit, this is one of those things you do to say you did it. For me, it falls into that category with the addendum, "glad I didn't have to pay because $200+ is ridiculous and probably wouldn't do it or recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling activity".

Very unique experience and fantastic tour by Zac! Beautiful if you do the sunrise climb at 4am in summer. Couldn't recommend more if you are visiting and looking for a great activity for the family. Not great if you are scared of heights though. ;)

Amazing!!! Breathtaking views along the Bridge and of the Harbour await you. Guides and Staff are wonderful and supportive. Loved the fact there is a brief training course to familiarize yourself with the equipment. The climb itself was pleasant, not stressful and navigating the ladders was easy (your harness is tethered to a guideline). Hopefully one day they will allow you to ascend one end and descend on the other.

Had an excellent time on the 3.5 hour tour.
The staff were receptive and very aware of what is happening and made a superb effort to remember everyone's name.
Very informative tour.
You feel safe at every point of the tour knowing you are attached to a safety line.
The only thing you will really be afraid of is the ladders but you will not spend much time on them and the group moves as fast as the slowest person, so it doesn't matter if your slow!
At the end you will have a choice of which photos to print/download.
A marvellous experience!!

Fantastic tour! You climb the bridge and then come back down. Worth it for the price. HIGHLY recommend trying to get Steve as your tour guide. He was informative, funny, and quite charming.

DO get the photo set. A bit pricey for 10 pics but you cannot take your own phone up. So if you want photos of you from the top, purchase it. If you don't care then the experience itself is great.

Did the Twilight one and recommend it as you get to see Sydney during the late afternoon and into early night. Note that the tour takes a bit of time. Started at like 5ish and ended around 830pm.

If you splurge on something in Sydney, it is this!

Excellent experience on the most part, one rather dissapointing bit...

The organisation was excellent, equipment was great and all accessories are well thought about to make the experience as best as possible.

The actual bridge climb was fantastic and the views were spectacular along with some great images to remember the bridge climb!

When we did our first climb our climb leader was constantly giving us interesting facts whereas our second climb leader kept asking if we had questions and it would probably have been better if she threw in a few more facts along the way rather than waiting for us to ask questions but still a great climb leader who was talkative and friendly.

The only dissapointment was when we got back down to the bottom to collect our photos. We had paid for a photo package for 10 photos to be put on a USB which cost $60. We werent counting during the climb but when we got down we had 14 photos of us taken and rather than just putting all 14 on the USB stick they made us delete 4 to bring it down to 10. The USB stick is 4GB and our photos have only used 23Mb so storage is not an issue and it just seemed like a waste of both staff time and our time to make us mess around for 2 or 3 minutes deciding which photos to delete when it would have taken perhaps an extra second or 2 to put them on the USB stick.

It would be nice to see that issue addressed.

Other than that it was really good and Id recommend it to anybody!

Had a fantastic experience climbing the bridge with my 73 year old uncle. ( there was a man turned 80 and climbed the bridge the on tour we were with. ). Our guide was extremely well informed of the history of the bridge ( think his name was Nathan ((red hair)).
The climb was not too strenuous, the water stations along the way well very necessary ( 37 degrees Celsius, the day we climbed).
There are guides on various second of the climb to assist anyone who might need help and make sure no one gets hurt a certain sections.
It is very expensive compared with the Story Bridge (in Brisbane ,QLD), but I'm very glad I did it.
The safety requirements were stringent, to the point of metal detectors to make sure no one has any jewellery, phones, watches etc which you can't wear on the climb.
Highly recommend doing this as there's only 3 in the world that people can climb. Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland.

Views were out of this world. Perfect clear day, just incredible.

Expensive, but, if the weather is nice, totally worth it for an unforgettable experience. Couple of things to know -- you are connected on a single wire loop on the bride at all times... it is totally safe. After the first 20 minutes, you pretty much forget about any fear of heights / falling issues. The level of physical activity is fairly mild. There are 4 steps of stairs that require some exertion, but, after those everything is very easy and the grades are mild. We had 70 year olds with us in our group who were in mediocre shape and the physical aspect was not a problem for them. There are a few places where you have to duck your head. The tour guides are very personable and fun.

Had a great experience doing the bridge climb. Weather was good but a little smoggy to see more than about 2km.
Photos were ridiculously expensive given the current technologies and time.
Food from the cafe is less than appealing.
Its quiet expensive to climb the bridge?????

Great experience BUT not worth the price. Would never go again. $600 AUD for 2!!! Ouch! No cameras/cell phones allowed. You get a $2.00 baseball cap and a group photo. Want all the extra pictures they take? Only $60 more. Sorry, I can't add photos brcause my cell phone was locked up. Don't try to hide one on you, the metal detector will catch you.

Honestly way overpriced. You could buy yourself a weekend getaway with this money. Instead, walk across the bridge, and if you want to go up, just pay $15 to go up to the pylon lookout and get almost the same experience with fantastic views. I am giving it 2 stars because I see how people would want to do it. But, if you really, really, really want to climb the bridge, you should go.

Expensive but worth it for a 'climb of a life time'. Extremely well organized, runs like a machine, but with very fiendly staff who guide you through everything smoothly. As watches (and everything else you carry around) is left behind in safe lockers, one forgets "time". But it takes quite a while in preparation before you actually start your climb. The most tiring part are several moments in the climb just standing waiting for groups ahead clearing. But in the meantime views are really spectacular. Pity (although understandable) camera's are not allowed. Saw several worthwhile shots! We started at 2pm and after queuing for our pictures, left at around 5.30 pm.

Go do it!!!!!! I'm a short, fluffy and fairly sedintary 51yo woman, so I have only moderate endurance. At no time did I feel unsafe, ill equipment physically or unable to keep up. It was absolutely fabulous. So don't hesitate if you aren't super fit or young. You can do it too and you will have a blast! Go early though because it gets hot and that part makes it harder. Actually a fantastic way to start your day. Enjoy!!

At first I kind of hesitated because of the price, but it is definitely worth it. We were provided with a jumpsuit to wear over our clothes that included secure attachments for sunglasses, hat and headphones to hear instructions from our climb leader. We were set up with a belt with a safety line to prevent any possibility of falling so even a person who is nervous about heights (like me) would be comfortable. Lots of photos taken along the way (available for purchase at the end of the climb), great views and information about the history of the bridge and its construction.

Surprised my partner with booking a climb 1.5 hours before time. I had a very helpful member of staff guide me over the phone and offer up suggestions to make the surprise work. The guide was enthusiastic and informative.

Worth the money and would recommend. Thanks for the experience

A highly-recommended experience when in Sydney - and one you'll never forget. Book in advance, and turn up on time. They brief you, suit you up, and show you how the safety lanyards work. And then up you go! You need a little fitness, but I am 54 and walked up and down easily. The views are spectacular. You cannot take your own camera, but our guide took both photographs and video for us.

It's always nice to see things on a new perspective. The views of the harbor from top of the Sydney Bridge is definitely something different. The Bridge climb is not very strenuous, but it's a little more than a walk in the park. The cost is $200USD per person, which includes a free group picture, a nice Sydney Bridge Climb cap, the use of a body harness suit, a climb leader/guide who will take pictures for you, and a priceless experience of a lifetime. Very safe, but not recommended for people who are afraid of heights.

As a local of both Sydney & Cairns, I know that most locals don't usually do the 'touristy stuff' becoz it's too expensive, but this is an experience not to be missed - just do it once just to say you've done it. I did it with family about 10 years ago, and it was outstanding, and not too strenuous

CANCELLED CLIMB - NO REFUND. Due to GLOBAL travel restrictions. we cannot make it and the actual climbs are now cancelled. Now we cannot get a refund - just voucher for future use. We have no plans to be in Australia again! And to make it worse, no one is empowered to do anything in the office. They just run interference. It appears the management would prefer you climb so they can make money, even if a high risk. STAY AWAY!

A once in a lifetime experience everyone should experience once in their life.... er.... For real, regardless of where you're coming from, whether it be sunny Spain or slightly gloomier Cambelltown treat yourself with a visit and a walk along Sydney's most iconic landmark. We got to experience the night tour on Christmas Eve but due to Sydney's late-as sunsets we were fortunate enough to watch the world turn from what Id imagine to be one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the world. The Bridgeclimb team are simply awesome, and even when addressing an issue with my photo package days later, where super on-the-ball with their customer service. I truly cannot recommend this experience enough, so if youre ever in Sydney for a visit or like me have lived here for your entire life without realizing just how magical the city you love can be, do yourself a favour and just go for it!

If you're willing to pay for it (and the prices have been going up over the years it has been made possible to do this), Brigeclimb is a great way to go right up to the top of 'the Great Coathanger' and get the best view directly over the harbour itself short of a helicopter (or a drone if you're an ant). I remember the cost probably started at $100 a long time ago and I thought that was expensive, but now it's in excess of $329 so consider that cheap for the future! It is a definite experience though so worth doing once.

You are to dress in grey to camouflage and avoid distracting the traffic below you, and also to shield against the winds and rain if it comes; go with a group and a tour guide will talk you through the whole thing.

This would have to be one of the best attritions I've been to such an amazing experience. Considering I'm afraid of heights I felt safe through out the hole climb, the staff are extremely knowledgeable and give you the history about this spectacular land mark throughout your climb making the experience all that much better.
Defiantly make this a must do. :D

About BridgeClimb

BridgeClimb: The Ultimate Sydney Experience

If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable experience in Sydney, look no further than BridgeClimb. As the name suggests, this company offers the opportunity to climb one of the world's most iconic landmarks - the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

But this isn't just any old climb. With BridgeClimb, you'll be guided by experienced professionals who will take you all the way to the top of the bridge's arches - a height of 134 metres above sea level. From there, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour and beyond.

So why should you choose BridgeClimb over other tourist activities in Sydney? For starters, it's an experience that simply can't be replicated anywhere else in the world. The Harbour Bridge is an engineering marvel that has become synonymous with Australia's largest city - and climbing it is a rite of passage for anyone visiting or living in Sydney.

But more than that, BridgeClimb offers an unparalleled sense of adventure and accomplishment. Climbing to the top of such a massive structure requires physical exertion and mental fortitude - but once you reach your destination, there's nothing quite like it.

Of course, safety is always paramount when undertaking such an activity - and with BridgeClimb, you can rest assured that every precaution has been taken to ensure your wellbeing. All climbers are fitted with special suits designed for comfort and safety; they're also attached to a secure line throughout their ascent.

So what does a typical climb with BridgeClimb entail? It all starts with a briefing session at base camp where climbers are given their suits (and hats!) before being led through some basic training exercises on how to use their equipment safely. Once everyone is ready to go, it's time for the real adventure to begin!

The climb itself takes around 3-4 hours from start to finish; during this time climbers will ascend ladders and stairs as well as traverse catwalks before finally reaching their destination at the summit. Along the way there are plenty of opportunities for photos (including one taken by your guide at the very top) as well as chances to learn about some fascinating history behind both bridge itself and its surrounding area.

One thing that sets BridgeClimb apart from other tourist activities in Sydney is its accessibility: almost anyone can participate! There are different routes available depending on fitness levels (including options for those who may have mobility issues) so everyone can enjoy this incredible experience regardless of age or ability.

And if climbing during daylight hours isn't enough excitement for you? Then why not try one of their night climbs instead! These special tours offer climbers stunning views over illuminated cityscape below while also providing unique insights into how bridge operates after dark.

In conclusion: if you're looking for something truly special during your visit or stay in Sydney then look no further than BridgeClimb! This once-in-a-lifetime experience offers adventure combined with stunning views making it perfect choice whether travelling solo or part group tour package deal holiday itinerary planning purposes alike!
