My husband who is desperate to beat his ice addiction was rejected by the Hobart Clinic as he is too complex a case! No doctor there was willing to take him on as a patient. They did not even speak to him. They told us he would be better off in the public system even though he has full comprehensive health insurance! Unbelievable cannot believe they can treat people this way. Obviously they keep there 98% success rate because the only take on the easiest of cases.

Very disappointing for a private clinic. I have had both a sister and brother use this facility for alcohol and depression issues. They have both been there at varying times and have not received any genuine help.

Treated like a child. At 70 years I refuse to be told with whom I may associate with. I had been diagnosed with PTSD. after heart failure I needed to gather my thoughts. No empathy, just being watched constantly. You are not to FRATENIZE fraternize with female clients. I am sure this is a breach of Civil Rights of the aged. Fraternize

Dr. Jacob George should have his license revoked, did not listen, extremely condescending and was quick to rush me out the door to book another appointment. Was absolutely disgusted with the way I was treated and a complete waste of $320 and 35 minutes of my time.

Went for a couple of sessions With Dr Davie, leant back on his chair, put his feet on the desk and proceded to tell me my depression and anxiety was my fault. I've had friends who have been to him also and we all think he is downright dangerous and should not be giving anybody advice on mental health. Coming from the amazing Perth clinic back to Dr Davie at Hobart clinic was like coming from the Jetsons to the Flinstones. Disgraceful!

Very disappointed with this clinic. Most of the nursing staff are wonderful ! Not impressed with a doctor, at this facility. Has no empathy with people with depression. Doesn't listen to patients who know what treatment works best for them. Likes to discharge early, even when patient isn't ready to go home. Food is lovely, as is the kitchen staff. Would not recommend clinic to anyone with depression.

Costly, even with private health cover. And for what? The nursing staff confused my file with another patient, asking me questions regarding another individual's condition and mental state (and in doing so, breaking patient confidentiality!!). Felt like a cross between a jail and a nursing home. Ended up leaving with more diagnoses than I came in with, from Dr Davie - who never actually spent any time assessing me during my stay. This is just a money making venture masquerading as a psych hospital.

I See Dr Kenyon as a private outpatient by choice of my own.
I sought out his advice/treatment after having terrible experiences with older fashion psychiatrists in different private and public organizations, that undertreated me and misdiagnosed me which lead to a disastrous early 20's. I have seen him 5 times already this year and even after giving him 100s of pages of history and me being a somewhat complicated case, he took me on and kept me as a patient and he listens to me and respects how I feel and my opinion on treatments.
He is very empathetic compared to your average psychiatrist and fairly flexible.
Although not overly specialising in my main mental illness, so far he has been helpful to the best of his ability and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable which is great for a complex patient like me. I would recommend him to patients who have had bad experiences in the past, it took me 6 years to see a psychiatrist again and I am glad I did my research. The staff at the Hobart location are great but over the phone or email at Rokeby they are a little slack as I have enquired about 2 separate things and no one got back to me.
