Line is always really long, they can't seem to keep up with the crowd. During mosquito season it's not worth the wait. BUT if you can stand waiting, they have yummy ice cream creations.

Sloowwwww service. Long lines. Indecipherable menu. I know this place is popular but no thanks.
Delicious! My favourite is half hot fudge half hot pecan sundae! Mmmmm
Awesome ice cream, you can tell by how busy it gets. Lots of variety too.
Attempted to get the summer's promotional ice cream cone " cloud 9 " and they are out of it ... you'd think they would take the time put up a sign to say they are out of it, consdering they took the time to put the one sign up to advertise it.
Been there a couple times and it had a great place to seat and relax or if you'd like a walk on the bridge. Also a wide range of varieties are available.
Waaay to busy and slow service plus no gargabe cans . Wouldnt go again
Ordered a banana split. Not even a minute and my order was handed to me. The whipped cream on top was a mess. The banana has turned brown. The sundae was watery. When I returned it, another lady said she s going to make me another one. But the guy who initially handed me the gross banana split was just laughing seeing that I returned my order. That was my first time there and I wasn t impressed at all.
Every summer we come here. It's a tradition in our family and we love it
Great selection of ice cream dishes. Primarily soft serve. Winnipeg institution, expect long lineups.
It's BDI, everything is delicious. Its Cash only and you will wait because this is a very popular ice cream spot
Great ice cream in a good location, but the slow service in the busy hours can lead to hour long lines
Historic, excellent deserts but expect to wait quite a while in line during peak hours.
Great ice cream. Sometimes the lines are long, and parking can be hard to find, but it s always a great treat.
winnipeg landmark, not the best ice cream in the city though
Huge bang for your buck here. Delicious ice cream in a fun part of town. Perfect after dinner treat
Prolly the best ice cream in town! A seasonal favorite for my family.
Finally a Ice Cream vendor takes Bank card! One of the family s favourite place for ice cream! Followed by a walk across the Bridge
Must try when in Winnipeg. The ice cream is okayish, but the overall experience, including a walk on the bridge is great.
Very fun place. Lots of unique Specialty treats. Good ice cream!
Fantastic ice cream and a nice location to go for a walk on a nice day. Unfortunately the lines can be quite long in the busy times. But worth the wait
A historic site and famous ice cream stand. A great place to take the kids or go with friends. No better place to go for a walk and get ice-cream.
The Biggie Smalls is two cones towered into one; ask for a cup and spoon for the inevitable crash!
This was my second choice after a Spanish cone, which never seems to be available
Very good Ice cream. Be prepared to face endless lines. But, it is worthy.
It's a Mc Donald Sunday with some funny toppings. Nothing fancy here...
Had a large strawberry flavor burst today and it was far from the creamy quality that I have had there many times
Long lines and the more expensive of choices among Winnipeg ice cream stops, but it tastes so good so its worth it. This place needs to stay open year round. I bring out of town friends out to try their ice cream, its sort of a peg city staple.
This is one of the best place in Winnipeg to have ice cream. There is always a line up and it's not a good place for quick pick up. Other than that, the ice cream is pretty good.
Amazing ice cream. A slightly run down shack happens to house some of the best and most creative ice cream creations in Winnipeg. Line ups are always long in the summer, but worth the wait. Parking is usually sparse if it is busy, unfortunately. The location is great, so you can enjoy your ice cream on the bridge, and watch the river, or take a walk down the residential streets. Wonderful!
No flavor soft ice cream, soft chocolate & soft ice cream and it wasn't even that hot outside. First time coming bdi this summer kinda disappointed. It was good but moving backwards in my liking.
Delicious ice cream and great prices. A Winnipeg institution.
We enjoy BDI. It s a Winnipeg staple. The ice cream is creamy and they re very inventive with their sundaes and flavours. Their Covid changes are positive, including a line up system, ordering system and you can now purchase cashless. Definitely suggest.
A Winnipeg staple that has more than earned it's stripes. Delicious ice cream always worth the wait followed by the traditional treck across the bridge. Prices are reasonable and staff is always courteous and friendly. The Goog Special and Saltzberg are personal favorites.
Personally prefer hard ice cream and not a huge fan to wait in line for ice cream for 20 minutes under the sun. Nice location to walk and eat ice cream and look at the river.
Has always been one of my favorite places but this last time was disappointing. Who would think they can't get asimole dipped cone with peanuts right? They handed me a cone that had the chocolate dip dripping off my hand and my whole hand covered. The fact is they were so busy they rushed everything. Family got three peach velvets and one had whipped cream that wasn't really whipped. Just not up to their usual standard. Will still go back because one poor experience out of the many good ones is surely an anomaly at this point.
Amazing! I love walking the bridge there, beautiful view.. ice cream is delicious there.. Highly recommend it
Great ice cream.. . Long wait... bring something to read while waiting... would be nice if there was more shade for standing in line....especially in hot sin.
Try the vegan ice cream, seriously, it was amazing!
Long line. Took 45 mins to get served but good service!! Fast workers
This location is definitely a must if youre a fan of ice cream
Great icecream, but we waited in line for 40 minutes. It's good, but not 40-minute-wait-good.
No boat ramp and smaller portions of sleeping beauty
Great ice cream, very popular so expect long lines.
Too many choices it was hard to choose. Hope they offer more flavors in smaller serving.
Our line took way too long and it 2 windows open on a very busy day. The family behind us was from out of town and had to leave because they did not have any cash , maybe time to add debit .
A Winnipeg institution. Ignore the long lines and frightening parking choices. Go. Walk if you can across the antique bridge from Kingston Row.
Ice cream is simply top end. If you're waiting this long, order a Sundae, a banana split or the famous Goog. Ask someone in line what it is. Or, just get it. You won't be disappointed.
Other then always having to wait more then 20 mins for Ice cream... Love the place
The staff is friendly and fast! Wish there was hard ice cream too tho
Great fast service, interesting menu, bang for the buck. It is also right by the river with a rusty old bridge which has a bicycle hanging- very scenic.
Huge variety of ice cream and great ambiance because it's outside right next to a walking bridge
Overrated. Any night worth going here will involve an hour long wait in a lineup with a bunch of pretentious young people on dates trying to compete for attention.
Great ice cream, well worth the money. Great place to stop.
One the best places to get soft ice-cream in Winnipeg. CASH ONLY! The long line is worth it
Line up was ridiculous! Barely moved. We waited 20 mins before giving up and going elsewhere. Line was not that long and the real issue was that it wasn't moving. In 20 mins only 2 groups were served. Love the ice cream and am usually quite prepared to wait but not when it's that slow. I don't have all day to feed my ice cream cravings.
Fantastic ice cream. Great prices. And even a vegan ice cream option for my daughter who can't eat dairy.
Nice place with delicious ice creams. Remember to have cash with yourself!
The most interesting and intelligent icecreams ever
Ice cream delicious. Scenery nice. Only tap or cash no regular debit.
Creative ice creams! Lots of options
Good place for family:)
Great selection of ice cream the only down fall is the parking
I didn't go there. I drove by and now Google wants me to review it. All in all, the street was clean, traffic flowed smoothly.
This is the most popular Ice cream shop in Jublee road in Winnipeg. In winter you will get this shop close. But from sring you will get this open from 11AM to 10PM. Beside this shop you will see a bridge. I bet you will love to eat ice cream by walking on the bridge.
Woe and despair! My stomach was too small to eat more of this amazing ice cream.
Great ice cream and a cool old bridge to walk on. Bring cash!
They have good ice cream and various topping options.
The BDI is a classic Winnipeg experience, largely about fondly reminiscing about going there with your parents, or sharing that experience with your kids. The setting is really nice. It's not actually the best ice cream in town, but it's a favorite for a lot of folks. The upside down shake is my favorite.
Very good ice cream. Some dishes are spectacularly large!
Worthy to try every summer ~ especially my kidos love to go across the bridge!
