Probably ate way too much of the Jenna Rae Cotton Candy ice cream/ice cream sandwich, but it easily the best ice cream ice had in...ever.

Ice cream is delicious, service could be a little faster but that is understandable. Restaurant is in a beautiful area. If you go there I recommend the peach velvet milkshake.

Such a great historic place, so many great selections and overal wonderful experience.

Best Iced Cream in the city. Period. Do not deprive yourself of it. There is so much variety and the prices are reasonable. Also good to walk across the bridge while you enjoy it. Kind of a scenic environment. Good place to take a date.

The ice cream is good with a large variety of flavours. It's nice to grab a treat and go for a little walk across the bridge. Parking can be hectic when it is busy, which is most of the time. Your lucky if you can get a spot in the lot, otherwise you are parking along osborne. Cash only. Plus they now have a food truck.

First time ever here. BEST ice cream ever. Well worth the wait. The lineup was big but definitely the banana split was incredible. Can't wait to go back next time we're in Wpg.

They only have soft ice cream. I dont understand why people flock here.

Amazing ice cream and variety the only downsides are having to *usually* wait in a long line and only taking cash! But service is great, location is Good, treats are amazing!!

They are charging "mall price" for you to stand in line under the hot sun. Not going back.

Landmark stop for Winnipeg!!! Take a stroll along the bridge, enjoy the river, without or with a companion. This is a unique experience for anyone who enjoys ice cream! The walkway is wheelchair friendly

Always a great place to get ice cream. Try the Goog! I especially like how dog friendly the place is and the beautiful walk across the bridge is always great on a warm summer night.

Fair prices, historic and fun location, maybe a 4 star... but its BDI so ;-)

BDI is always consistent with the quality of their ice cream. Try The Saltzburg!

I like the toppings, but the cream is not my favorite

This is the quintessential Winnipeg ice cream experience. Everything good about Manitoba is rolled up into their vanilla ice cream cone. But if you just don't want a vanilla ice cream cone I guarantee you there is so much on the menu, you will never be disappointed.

Very long lines. Why would anyone wait in a line that long for ice cream? I don't get the appeal

The wasps are horrendous. I didn't enjoy my experience at all. I saw 2 wasp traps but there should be a ton more. Looking inside of the bdi you can see swarms of them. Inside where they are making food... Gross but poor employees. You couldn't pay me enough to work there. My children spent the whole time in fear. I personally am allergic to them so I am sure I'm a little more sensitive to it but it's disgusting and I personally will not return to bdi after that trip. Just putting up a sign saying caution wasps is really not much. This must be a yearly thing. There must be an effective way to solve this problem or at least minimize it. Clean the patio a few times a day. Change the garbages. Spray the benches down. Put more traps up... Two seems very inefficient for such a large wasp population.
We heard the lady in front of us order the saltzberg and they said they were out of something but we couldn't hear what. Then we ordered one and they didn't say anything so we thought maybe we misheard. But they just didn't put the nutella in ours at all so I assume that's what they were out of. So really poor experience. Would not go again. Would not recommend unless u want to spend an hour standing in line being harassed by wasps.

The ice cream is just scrumptious! A bit tricky to get to with no parking due to covid-19, but worth the trip. The nearby footbridge across the river, makes it a great place to hang out and enjoy your treat!

Best ice cream in Winnipeg, with real cream. Must put on your destination but prepared for a long line up. They do need to improve the ordeelr processing.

I went with my favourite person ever - my Gf. We got googs. They were so good. I wish There was a BDI in Toronto.

When you drive up and see a long line up, don't let that discourage you. That is an indication of how good this ice cream really is! YUMMY!

Old traditional soft serve parlour, with all that entails: understaffed, lack of payment options (cash only) but excellent ice cream. Rotating specials offer interesting and well priced treats.

Milkshake goodness! Fast courteous service and they take pastic now.

May be it just us, who expected more both from the ice cream and the location, but ice cream was "so so" and there was nothing to do there, besides crossing the bridge. It was our first, but, probably, also last, time there...

Personally I found it didn't live up to the hype. Yes it has decent ice cream, and the bridge is a nice feature. But it certainly isn't worth the long lines, it's not much different from other ice cream places I've visited.

Besides the fact that they don't do debit, it is a great place for a date. Get that 5 star by getting debit though, it's 2018 guys.

not what it use to be.... soft serve had a McDonald's quality to it.
My order was very hastily put together and was nothing what I expected- handing me a very sloppy sundae with topping running down on all sides.
Toppings are more sugar then flavor and are nothing special. Serving personnel got really cranky when I corrected them on the order and then did a sloppy job the second time as well (almost like a screw you fella). Won't be going back for a while. If at all.

Got the saltzberg, great ice cream cone. Vanilla dunked in chocolate with caramel and a bit of sea salt and Nutella lining the cone. It was a little but busy though

overpriced waste of time.

-Credit card payment was unavailable at our window.
-There were no bananas. (I wanted a Goog - went for PinaColada milkshake)
- There were no napkins available. We asked and were offered a couple moist towelettes sealed in packages.
- The straw in the milkshake is incapable of being used as a straw. Everything gets stuck in it. Then the straw collapses after 2 minutes. I didn't finish the milkshake because of frustration.
- The sunday had very little fudge on it.

The best place in Winnipeg for soft serve ice cream , Shakes and sundaes. They have the best creative cones one can ever imagine. Awesome staff and great taste.

First of all i liked the location of this place more than its ice cream. By the bridge, you can walk around and enjoy ice cream. Now ice cream- they have so many different flavors for ice creams and shakes as well. Usually open in evenings in Summer only and get really busy as well. Has to wait in line , could b half an hour as well. But overall worth waiting in line and enjoying RED River besides.

Always good but it's time they figure out a way to speed things up there. I've waited in line too long, too often. Fourty-five min to an hour wait for an ice cream cone is just too long. I will probably go somewhere else from now on.

There was a pretty long line when I went but it moved quickly and everyone was spaced apart well. Service was fast and the ice cream was delicious, can t wait to go back again soon!

Long wait for ice cream. Ice cream is alright, nothing too fancy. It's the environment that brings the crowd. Walking by the bridge while having the ice cream is pretty nice.

I ve been coming here since I was a child(33 now!) and I ll never tire of it. I ve never had a bad experience. The lines may be long, but there s a reason people wait! Best ice cream in the city!

Amazing icecream!

Although one small complaint, I ordered a Smartie Flurry and I did get peanut chunks in it. Luckily I'm not allergic to peanuts. I do have family members who are allergic to peanuts and a flurry is always the safest option. But today was very disappointing to see that either the machine wasn't cleaned properly before mixing my flurry or there isn't some sort of separation from the toppings that I still got peanuts mixed in somehow

A yearly favourite for the summer time. The ice cream is tasty, good portions and we'll priced.

Went for my yearly Goog. The line took about 30 minutes, around 5PM. They've fixed the 2 reasons I only come here once per year, cashless payments, and 1 line for ALL windows. I may need to go here more than once per year now!
