Wide variety of ice creams to choose from. Just a heads-up..don't buy the banana split if you don't have someone to help you finish it...It's huuge! :D
All the ice creams are okay. Sometimes they forget to put nuts on even when you ask for them. CASH ONLY...ice creams cost around $5- $8 each.

Alas it was my first and last visit this year, their soft serve is the best in the city and the creative treats are nearly impossible to choose from. I had the Salzberg and after one taste my lactose intolerant friend gave in and got one herself!

I've been going to BDI ever since I was little and I always used to get the chocolate dipped vanilla soft surve! But I've been really into anything strawberry lately so I got the strawberry flurry and oh man was it good, so soft and creamy not to overpowering with the flavor! Perfect icecream and great prices too! Very friendly staff and great experience everytime

I not even a fan of soft ice cream but it is amazing here. Note: cash only and no hard ice cream. And unless you go on a very rainy or cold day, be prepared for very lengthy lineups. Fabulous location for a beautiful walk across the the bridge over the Assiniboine River.

Relatively new to the city so doing a fair bit of exploring and really enjoyed the BDI several times this summer. This place serves DECADENT icecream specials - I really fell for the saltzer (but asked for less salt) and couldn't get over their nutella filled cone. I can't wait to come back next summer. Lots of parking, great park/bridge/river to walk around with your cone and pretty view when you're walking on the bridge. Soft serve icecream so you have options to order flavoured milkshakes and other things. Almost too many options for flavours - it can be hard to decide what to get if you're like me and indecisive. You can't go wrong getting one of their generous specials in my opinion. Cash only.

I have lived in 5 of the 10 provinces in Canada and visited all but one. The ice cream served at BDI Bridge Drive In is the BEST that I have ever had. And I LOVE ice cream. If you ever come to Winnipeg to visit or live, make sure you pay a visit to BDI.. They are open Spring, Summer and Fall.

Very watery milkshake, It s also very sweet like too sweet. You guys need to add to more milk or preferably almond milk. Did I mention how watery the milkshake is? Can t even consider it a shake, maybe just a rotation

Lots of options but basically soft serve ice cream in a variety of ways. Prepare for a long lineup in the summer and it's only open in the summer. Has 6 windows but I've only ever seen two open at a time.

Heres a headline for the summer - Waited in line 20 minutes for 2 chocolate dip cones that melted before the time me and my girlfriend even walked to bridge LOL! Not only was the ice cream a pile of melted soup dipped in chocolate, but it was melting all over the bridge at 9pm in the evening in cool 20 degrees celsius weather. Between feeling embaressed after having the sliding window slammed in my face rudely by the kid working there and having to walk down the bridge with melting disappointment in my hands we both could not be bothered to stand in line to complain at useless staff so we tossed our ice cream over the bridge and sealed our fate. Thank you BDI for being so awful of an experience and reminding me why sargeant sundae is always the better choice. And to top it all off they were out of waffle cones!

A Winnipeg classic, no summer is complete without a trip to the BDI. My favorite is the Smores cone, with creamy chocolate sauce and mini marshmallows! Take your ice cream out to the bridge and watch the boats go by.

Be warned, they only accept cash, and there are no bathrooms on the premises.

Excellent iced cream, for a reasonable price! The only thing I don't like, is that it's so good, there is always a big line. Glad we don't have one in Brandon, or I'd be be broke and have no clothes that would fit....

The website and Google says they open at 11 so I was (and other customers) waiting outside for them to open and the lady opened the window saying they open at 12. It would be easy for them to change the times to prevent such confusion and waste of time

Last Saturday took a run to BD; I an icecream place on Jubilee. Nice summer day. The soft ice cream is fantastic. From Sundaes, shakes and of course soft ice cream cones...small, medium, large. Right on the river with a bridge crossing the Assiniboine river. We were lucky that day, it wasnt that busy; but it can get hectic... Sunday's especially.

Haven't been back to BDI since our last dissappointing visit. I ordered a hot fudge sundae and paid over $5 for one peak of ice cream and a teaspoons worth of hot chocolate syrup - not fudge. My partner asked for a flurry, and recieved a milkshake instead. He didn't want to be a bother so he figured he'd just drink the shake. Unfortunately it was disgusting and tasted like 10 different sugary syrups all melded together. When we took it back to the window and explained the error the 15 year old kid working told us that's what we ordered and basically told us to get lost.

That experience combined with the line that moves slower than a turtle stuck in a molasses pit has solidified our decision to never return. I have fond memories of this place but it's clearly just a money grab now. I gave them one extra star for being in a good location.

For very good ice cream and service with lower prices than BDI try Sargeant Sundae or Sweet Tops.

Drove across town, waited for fifteen minutes in line in the cold, only to be told that the vegan options and dairy free options listed on their website are unavailable. Put up a sign next time. An unripe frozen banana wasn't worth it.

Situated at the foot of the Elm Park bridge, is Winnipeg's most Iconic Ice Cream Parlor.

Although the lines can be long and parking can be a pain. No trip to the BDI is complete without a casual stroll across this vintage bridge that has long ago been converted to walking/cycling only.

I don't find anything particularly spectacular about their soft serve, but the options for toppings are endless.
