Best ice cream in Winnipeg! They even easily accommodated a dairy intolerance!?! Imagine going with your family to get ice cream and you have a severe reaction whenever you have dairy and you find out that BDI has the most amazing non-dairy ice cream you've ever had! The use of exclamation marks are because of excitement and joy I'm not yelling though maybe more people should be yelling about ice cream.

I feel like this place used to be great but has gone down the toilet. The last shake I got from here was literally like melted ice cream in a cup, it was weird, not good. Then a couple weeks ago we walk to go get icecream around their opening time on a Saturday and no one in sight. We waited about 30 mins as we walked farto get there, no show. Don't think I'll be back, even if I had a coupon.

This is a pretty good place to come for reminiscing or getting together with loved ones romantic I guess you could say I don't know it's kind of nice I guess pretty cool I don't think I ever walked across the bridge yet I don't even know if you can get to the other side personally I'm not sure I usually go to the forks or Manitoba museum of Man and nature The exchange district I pretty much stand my end of town I used to live in the south I prefer the north I'm basically in northern kind of guy I grew up like my flew around the province with Air Manitoba it no longer exists anymore but

Their Icecream is not the same one I used to eat 4 years back. Since the management has changed so many things the flavour and quality has been compromised too but it's still nice place to go with someone and hangout.

FIrst off stop lying to yourself and calling it ice cream. Its not. Its a "frozen dessert product" with about 25 ingredients. Second - The fudge is syrup. Third - The place looks like its going to collapse any moment. People will always say its great because they don't want to admit they've been conned.
The final point - its a disgusting mess around that place because everyone (who loves it so much) either jams their BDI garbage into an overflowing garbage can or they just throw it on the ground around the can. If you love it so much I challenge some of you to clean up around the place.

Location Location Location! Formula for success = go on weekday not during prime line times and get a Satlzberg Cone (Nutella, caramel, sea salt, dipped) and walk across the Bridge and along Kingston Row.

Always a must stop when in Winnipeg. They have put in various safety measures to ensure your visit is safe during the Covid-19 pandemic. They finally have contactless payment methods. The classic soft serve cones and banana splits are amazing! Of course, taking the time for a stroll across the bridge is a must.

Best Ice Cream I've ever had. When I ordered a GOOG I was half expecting to be disappointed by candy blueberry flavoured Ice cream. Was extremely happy to find that BDI uses fruit and berries that are both real and fresh.

While the ice cream is tasty, the prices are too high, the lines are always long and very slow-moving, and they only take cash. The variety of cones is really miniscule (only 4 flavours at our last visit), and the cones themselves are usually stale. The specialty ice creams are worth the visit, however, if you don't mind over-paying for them.

It's a decent place, but other than the location (which is decently nice for a brief stroll), their selection isn't great. For the most part, all it is is soft-serve with syrupy flavour topping. There's really no advantage over just going to DQ (or even McD's or BK).

They need a selection of hard ice creams. Ideally an assortment of harder to come by flavours. Otherwise, what advantage does it have over DQ?

Seems to be going downhill. The ice cream is good and definitely a Winnipeg classic, but the staff is immensely slow. Line up of almost 20ppl took over an hour and twenty minutes with no machine malfunction mentioned that would logically inhibit speed.

I moved to Winnipeg recently and I just so happened to live right by this gem! So many items on the menu, prompt service, and an old fashioned feel. Definitely worth checking this place out! The maple sundae is delicious!!!
