Braun Dermatology exemplifies how private healthcare practices should be run. If more practices were as polite, & helpful (thank you front desk & very nice gentleman that schedules follow ups) & gave the excellent care (thank you Joseph & the great assistants) healthcare overall would be such a more pleasant place for patients to get well. If more practices were run more like Braun Dermatology, you would experience a lot more individuals walking around Washington, DC with bigger smiles & clearer skin. Thank you for always be so kind & easy when I have called to schedule an appointment & with you getting me in. Then also when I have had to call to reschedule due to my own schedule. Thank you for always greeting me with a SMILE when I check in, then treating me with kindness, respect & your professional expertise. Following all that up with the nice smile & such helpfulness when leaving the practice. The nice, full bowl of samples that you always have available for me is just the icing on the cake. Then the "please, help yourself to another one if you would like" is certainly nice to hear when you thank them for having the nice bowl of samples to begin with. Guess that would be the sprinkles on the icing! I've never been asked to ever pay more for my visit other than my normal co-pay. I would highly recommend Braun Dermatology to anyone seeking a professional dermatologist office. Thanks Braun Dermatology! Keep up the great work & always StaySm:)in!

This dermatology practice exemplifies professionalism! The staff and physician assistant were courteous and timely with providing services. Finding a good dermatologist in the DC has been a task, but I am fortunate to have received a recommendation to this office. I highly recommend!

This has been the worst medical office I have visited. I missed an appointment once because i had set it up on my schedule for the wrong day. Did not receive notification reminder from the office. They are charging me $55 no show fee. I have no problem paying the fee but decided it was worth the shot asking them to waive it since it was the first time it had happened. They agreed and that was like 2 months ago. Since then I have visited twice for follow up visits and have been asked to pay the fee that was supposed to be waived plus I m receiving letters on the mail still asking for the money. Have called them about it and everytime I get the same answer: I will make a note on your file. I need to talk to the office manager about this. I will call you back. And nothing. What bothers me is them lying to me and from what I ve been able to read from other reviews, this attitude towards customers is the norm not the exception for this practice. I have canceled my follow up visits and will pay the fee but will not go back. Will also tell my wife not to go back as well. If they are ok with loosing 2 customers and making them angry enough for them to invest their time writing a review for lying, they don t deserve to be in business.

I was seen right on time for my appointment. Everyone was friendly and professional including the receptionist, assistant, and Dr. Marisa Braun. Excellent explanations of my issue and the procedure. Overall great experience.

I called the Kingstowne office looking to see a new dermatologist as my previous one was no longer convenient to me and I was seeking another opinion on various skin issues for our family. I was seen my Gina and she was AMAZING and very thorough. I went in for one thing and she found 2 other issues that needed attention. I will definitely be going back for all of mine and my families skin care needs. The front office staff was friendly, helpful and courteous for my apt and also my husbands (he was also very pleased with his apt and Gina). Nothing negative to say at all.

This was my first visit with Dr. Coyne and she was wonderful, able to answer my questions and did not make me feel rushed at all. The medical assistant was very friendly and calm. She even told me to call if I had any questions and that I should "ask to speak to a medical assistant". Despite a great in-person experience, I cannot give more than 3 stars because I have not been able to get answers to questions about my prescription. I have called three separate times. Twice in a row, I was put on hold for over five minutes and told that the medical assistants were not available (understandable) and that they would call me back as soon as they were done with the patients. I waited until 5 pm and they did not call me, so I called them once more and I had to leave a message because no one answered. I still have not received a callback or even a voicemail (it's been over a week since my appointment). I still trust the medical care that is provided by Dr. Coyne and I hope that this review helps to bring this inefficiency and gap in their administrative processes to the attention of an administrator who can rectify it. It is poor customer service and an abhorrent patient experience that could easily be improved with a better system, and it will need to be in order for me to continue bringing my business to this practice.

I have been going to Dr Alicia Braun at the DC office for years. She is gentle, thorough, careful, kind, and honest. The practice is well run and pleasant. It is also welcoming and very clean and fastidioys--important during a pandemic. I see other people have had some bad experiences. Perhaps it's one of the other offices? I'm not sure. The DC office has always had great staff and been responsive to me.

Such a great experience - Dr. Hester was amazing; and the check-in staff are incredibly kind, efficient, and have solid COVID-19 protocols in place.

I've been going to Braun Dermatology for many years since the physicians and staff are so capable, knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend them, especially if you're prone t skin cancers like myself. Can't recommend them enough!

Expert doctors and knowledgeable, kind staff. Braun Dermatology, though busy with patients, runs an efficient office. If there is wait time for a mohs process, it's appropriate due to the unknowable results of testing skin. They do everything possible to maintain a caring environment while seeing many patients with different needs. I appreciate their work ethic, professionalism, and random humor.

Extremely professional and knowledgeable. I had Mohs Surgery and both the surgery, recovery and follow up was exceptional.

As always, my experience at Braun Dermatology this week was excellent. I have been seeing the doctors there for over 15 years and each and every doctor and staff person has been very compassionate and experts in their field. My recent visit was with Dr. Marisa Braun. She is extremely skilled and knowledgeable and has a wonderful bedside manner. She was as thorough as always and was very helpful in explaining some different treatment options available to me. I highly recommend her as a very caring and experienced dermatologist!

If you re looking for a great dermatologist, Braun Dermatology is the place to go! I had recently moved to DC from Dallas about 6 months ago and needed a dermatologist. Braun was the first office I went to and have loved it ever since! Joseph Hudson, PA-C, has done an extraordinary job taking care of me and making sure that everything is on track.

Any time I need to come in for an appointment, the office staff makes it very easy to set one up. What s even better is that I never have to wait more that 10 minutes! They are very welcoming and polite. Between the office manager Marcus, Mya (who helps out Joseph) and Joseph himself, I couldn t have asked for a better staff!

I had my first visit with the practice and it was simply amazing. The staff here is so friendly and courteous. The PA Joe that I saw was great! He was very attentive and listened to all my concerns. I highly recommend this practice. One of the best I ve been to by far!

Made an appointment even though I live far in columbia Md because I read good things. Appointment was at 9:45. I called at 9:25 to let them know I got lost and according to GpS was 10-15 min behind. They said no problem that s fine. Walked in office at 10:02, and after standing there for 10 mins was told they couldn t see me until 12. I wasted time, gas, parking fees, paid time off from work on a busy Monday, and 2 weeks waiting for this appointment. I thought it was incredibly unfair that I had called and could have turned around, and thought the staff really didn t care about helping me. If they book appointments that close together and can t accommodate the very short amount of time I was late, I would assume if I did see a doctor it would have been rushed and not thorough. Glad I didn t make a new appointment. I should bill them for my time wasted.

Hands down the most incompetent and useless dermatologist I have ever been to. Their system is always down and they never return phone calls. They never send in prescriptions on time. Definitely would not recommend this practice to anyone and regret going there in the first place. If I could give half a star I would.

Horribly incompetent firm. Their customer service sucks, they don't send prescriptions when you need them, they overcharge, and there is no transparency whatsoever. The whole thing is basically a scam. Businesses like these are the problem with our healthcare system. DO NOT GO.

Everyone at Braun Dermatology are outstanding! Dr. Livingood is top notch! We all know how it is dealing with the insurance companies and trying to get our medicines, well Mary at Braun Dermatology is the BEST at dealing with them and making sure I have the medicine I need and making sure I'm covered with little to no cost to me. That speaks volumes in my book.

Had a routine check up with Dr. Hudson. Pleasant experience with all the staff. Dr. Hudson was thorough and informative. Treated me as a person not just a patient. I appreciated the attention to detail and pleasant way I was treated.

I've had an excellent experience at Braun Dermatology. Lisa at the front desk went above and beyond for me, and has been extremely helpful with all sorts of administrative work. I see Joe Hudson who is also fantastic- he his very knowledgable and encouraging. All in all I would highly recommend this place, especially compared to other experiences I've had at derm offices.

I didn t have to wait long unlike most doctors. The process was efficient.

Do NOT recommend unless you have flexible hours and do not need prescribed medicine.
The staff has always been nice and helpful when I go in for my appointments, but every single month I have had trouble getting my medication. I always have to call and ask them to do their end of the job so I can get my medicine. I end up calling three or four times because usually they don't call me back to follow up. I have been extremely frustrated with the slow service and lack of awareness that my time and energy are being wasted on having to call constantly and not being able to get my medicine. Also, they have limited hours and are not open on the weekends, so I often go days without having my medicine because they aren't open for me to call to request that they do their job.

Only giving 4/5 instead of 5/5 because each time I have an appointment I end up being called out of the waiting room at least ten minutes past my appointment time. However this seems to be the norm with D.C. doctor's offices so not a big deal. I've seen Dr. Livingood here three times now for various skin issues and he couldn't be kinder or more helpful. I haven't personally had any billing issues as some other reviewers have.

Wait was very short, the dermatologists are excellent, I have a history of skin cancer, as does my son, and I we are both in great hands at Braun.
They are thorough in their skin checks and quickly address any problems.

This was my first visit and I felt welcomed and valued. I arrived early so my wait was my own doing. I was called 2 minutes after my appointment time and the assistant and doctor I saw were both attentive and helpful.

My appointment was decent, though the doctor was very rushed (even commented that he may not be able to get to all three of the questions I had for him) and him and the nurse almost injected me with the wrong amount of medicine.

My main problem was with billing. I was not informed about any of the charges or the amounts (for copays or services) and then received a bill with three shockingly high amounts (for copay and one service). I called billing to explain my confusion and got transferred to a manager (I believe her name was Laura).

She very rudely asked me questions like, "don't you know you have a deductible", "you know this isn't a free clinic, right?", and interrupted me to say things like "patients are responsible for charges, I'm sorry you didn't know that." Of course patients must pay charges, but I am used to being informed beforehand when a service will be charged for and the estimated amount. I am frustrated that this office does not follow this basic practice, and treated me rudely for inquiring about it.

I ve been going to Braun Dermatology for several years for my annual checkup. I have always been completely satisfied with my visits. This year especially was unique with the pandemic still underway. The staff made this office visit just as easy and quick as every other visit. Thank you!

The office personal was very fast and kind.

Waiting room was very clean. The nurse or assistant was very informed and skilled.

The services are very poor. Despite asking the doctor to give me a cheaper over the counter alternative medicine, the doctor prescribed a 900$ ointment for my rash! After my insurance, it would cost me 20$ but I needed prior authorization from doctor to justify using such expensive medicine. And the center did not provide prior authorization even a day after the prescription. (Normally centers respond to prior authorizations request in 20 minutes.) will not recommend the place.

The staff is great, and Joe Hudson did a terrific job with filler on my face and hands. He is truly talented!

I waited 2 months for an appointment. The office then cancelled it the same day of the appointment. I had to call back later to reschedule, and they could either give me an appointment an hour from my call, or 2.5 weeks from then. That's a really crappy way to treat your patients and I cancelled.

I highly recommend Braun dermatology! I have seen Dr. Livinggood and Dr. Marisa Braun for various issues over the past two years and have had nothing but great service. The doctors here really know their stuff and care about their patients.

As always I was so pleased at my treatment at Braun dermatology. Dr Hester gave me her total attention & an excellent treatment plan.

I had a small surgery at their DC location. I was a bit nervous but hey treat me with delicacy and compasion, they explained everything they were doing and I felt wonderful. Thanks so much Dr Braun!

I would give 4 stars because my dermatologist Dr. Livinggood is amazing. However, the Asian receptionist was completely unprofessional the other day. Not only was she rude but she purposely charged my credit card multiple times indicating that it was declined when the machine clearly said approved. She also pretended she could not find my appt. She needs to get fired and grow up. I am not sure why she thought she could interact with me like this. However I will not be returning to this clinic as she is fake, arrogant, and a thoroughly disgusting individual. The African-American female and male receptionists are always professional and pleasant.

I have been a patient at Braun Dermatology for a number of years. They have alway provided excellent service to address my skin cancer needs. The last visit get safe and comfortable. I would recommend this group to anyone seeking well qualified dermatologists.

The first time I went the visit was so fast less than 5 minutes like he was in a rush, I felt very unwelcome, I had a issue with the medication the dr prescribe, so I called in to try to get in contact with the dr a guy from the front desk answered he was very rude and acted like I was asking for money, my issue was never solve, I have an appointment coming up but after this I will stop going here. I feel that being Hispanic patient in that clinic they treat with less professionalism than a white patient

Prompt, competent, and thorough. Overall a good experience. One nit to pick, the doctor (or pa?) who saw me was oddly insistent to point out that the main purpose of my visit was a cancer screening and my concerns about various skin problems were secondary - if we had time. That's certainly not why I made the appointment. I wanted my problem areas addressed, whether they be cancerous or not. And before my visit, i had no way of knowing if they were. Not a very patient-first approach.

From scheduling my visit, registration, the staff and Dr. Marisa Braun, all were terrific in every respect. I am due for a check up visit in two weeks. I am in very good hands.

My check up visit was every bit as successful as my first visit. My call regarding confirmation of my appointment due to weather was returned and my appointment was confirmed. Upon arriving, check in was minimal, staff and Dr. (Marisa) Braun were most timely, professional, informative, engaging and personable. I can recommend this practice and everyone with whom I came in contact and who assisted me without reservation. I could not be more pleased. I will have no reservation about contacting them in the future if need be.
