The rooms are very old and thus lack convenience.

I am European and so I don't like my room too cold, but even after turning off the aircon the room remained uncomfortably chilly (in August!!).

The concierge does a great job.

Great location in the heart of Boston, located on the metro line which makes it very easy to get around. Host of dining options in the neighborhood. Rooms were updated but on the smaller side for the price paid. All the staff was courteous and helpful, including everyone.

The location is amazing. And that's about it. I booked a room for 2 people and was placed in a room the size of a closet with a FULL size bed. For TWO people. The shower was so tiny, my 6'5" husband couldn't even fit in it. I consider myself to be a pretty small person and could not even take a shower comfortably without banging my elbows into the walls. In addition, we booked a non-smoking room and the room stunk of cigarettes. I should have complained, but we were only in Boston for the night so we just dealt with it. Also, there was a fire alarm going off repeatedly at 6AM and we were made to evacuate our rooms. When it was declared a false alarm, all we were offered was a loud apology over the speaker system. Terrible customer service. And all of this for over $300/night + $48 for parking! - unreal. Will definitely not return.

Very good hotel in Boston. The best your situation. It is modern and retro. The rooms have everything. But in general they are small for the American standard (old building). The breakfast buffet is the same standard, the best is the fruit, the waiters are very clueless. "The beautiful lobby, and the best gym you'll ever get in a hotel.

The room occasionally smelled like a dirty bathroom and we had someone show up and spray something on the floor after we were told it was a plumbing issue due to construction. Our first day there just after check-in we were evacuated and had to wait in the lobby until the FD cleared us to return to our rooms. Otherwise, the service was decent, the staff was pleasant, and you could see the effort being put into the renovations. It was an alright stay and I think the hotel is headed in the right direction with the renovations underway.

The hotel was very impressive. We got a great rate, so I didn't expect a huge room, so I will not complain about the room size. The bathroom, and the shower in particular were minuscule. I couldn't turn around in the shower without hitting a wall and the curtain. We may have gotten one of the smaller rooms they had but that shower was ridiculous. Room was clean, nice TV, plenty of plugs for gadgets.

Terrible. We'll maybe not exactly terrible, but not for the price. There was nothing, literally nothing, separating my room, in terms of quality from a comfort inn. Not bad when I'm paying around $100 a night but certainly unacceptable when I'm paying $400! The toilet had no tank, just an exposed metal pipe and that metal lever you expect to see in old public restrooms like at the zoo. The shower (look/type/quality of the tub, shower head, tiles etc) was the same as a motel. The sink! Omg the sink had a rubber stopper on a chain that you would place manually (like my grandmother probably had to back in her day) if you wanted to fill the sink. The cups that they gave with the ice bucket and coffee machine, plastic. Again, all things I would expect from a motel. I've stayed in many hotels for around 300-400 with much better room quality and amenities. This was pathetic.

The lobby is beautiful and the location is great but that's the extent of my praise. For the price, the service we experienced was poor (1. valet took 5 minutes to approach the car and didn't offer to take our bags or call someone who could and 2. when we asked to purchase coffee from the bar in the morning the server told us he would have to find to go cups and told us to go to Starbucks instead) and the room was almost laughably small. Would likely not return...

Easy Check in. Concierge was knowledgeable about the local area. I received the room style I reserved. Room was clean and comfortable. Lobby is beautiful, hotel is in walking distance of so many things.

The location of the hotel is nice, right by Boston Commons, and we got upgraded to the top floor with a king sized bed. The room was smaller than I anticipated but the view was very nice and the overall experience was positive.

We have stayed here a handful of times and will continue to return back. The staff is always very kind and courteous and they always go out of their way to accommodate your needs. Very clean rooms and the restaurant "Strip" is truly 5star dining. I would highly recommend staying here.

The hotel is very nice! The lobby is old world lavish and the rooms are a modern contemporary style with comfortable beds and plenty of amenities. Overall the staff was kind and friendly with truly delicious but pricey room service.

A low end four star hotel in a brilliant location.
We were able to check in slightly earlier after a long flight.
The rooms are quite small and basic but all you need if you are going to be out most the day.
The lobby, restaurant and bar are beautiful.
Good value for money and would definitely recommend.

Went to Boston to celebrate my wife's birthday and couldn't have picked a better hotel. Darren was great at check in and upgraded our room (which was a pleasant surprise!) Rebecca was fantastic too as were all the staff, who helped with 'touristy questions' in a very easy manner. Our room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfy. Will definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel in a good part of town, very central. My room was a little cramped with a king bed, but then again... I want planning on spending too much time there, so everything worked perfect! I good spot and I will stay there again for sure!!

Perfect location in downtown Boston. Close to a lot of restaurants and bars. The theatres are right up the street. A lot of shops nearby as well. Beautiful hotel with a great view. Nice and clean rooms. And very friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel if your staying in boston.

Great building, great rooms, great location. Spacious, comfortable and clean. Only 3 stars though because the staff were not very friendly. I got a lot of attitude from the door staff/bell hops when I first arrived as I mentioned I may need to take my bag immediately to drop off at the conference center so I did not want to check it. After confirming with my colleagues, we decided to check it and I got a big eye roll and I told you so look from the bell hop. Also witnessed a concierge be quite dismissive with a guest asking questions. Overall, did not get a great vibe from the staff. If you don t care for service then this is a good option, but I m sure you could find somewhere else for a lot less if you re looking for that experience.

Hotel staff was friendly, and very accommodating. We arrived prior to the official check in time due to an early flight, and they were able to find a vacant room for us to check into by 9:30am. Later that night, the staff brought up a shaving kit for free. The only downside (and the reason for 4 stars) is that the rooms are small. The king bed takes up about 70% of the available area.

Stayed here as this hotel was part of a conference hotel block. Overall was rather impressed, rooms are small, it's a historic building. Bed was comfortable and staff were friendly. Room rate for conference was quite good for downtown. There is a Starbucks on property. Only reason it wasn't 5 stars for me is that the noise from other rooms was high (no sound protection) and my room had a bit of a musty smell. I'd definitely return though, nice downtown hotel.

Fantastic hotel in the middle of Boston. Close to the common and freedom trail. Easy walk to most of Boston. Room was a bit small but understandable without being an older hotel. Still a very nice room for a short stay. Excellent service.

Great hotel to stay at. They have a Starbucks and access to one of the best gyms in Boston called Lynx. The gym has two classrooms, Top Golf mini virtual area and lots of equipment with a long green belt. Rooms are decent, but they also have a popular steak (?) restaurant called Strip.

This was the worse experience. The shower was so tiny that you couldnt even close the shower curtain without touching it and im a petite 5 ft 5 woman. The room was smaller than anything else I have seen. It was very loud. The only good thing was the location. Wluld not stay here again.

The Boston Park Plaza is unfortunately past it s prime. Small rooms with small bathrooms, and amenities are lacking we didn't get robes or hand towels! They also didn't make our bed or fix up our room at all!! We didn't even get a sign to put on the door for privacy or for new sheets. Ridiculous. For this price and for the name, we were expecting much better experience.

Loved the stay. The rooms are great but have very little space. May be good for one man but if any ladies want to come they're going to find themselves with no counterspace and very little closet room. The bar is fantastic - make great drinks and great place to hang out. The lobby is the music is a bit loud and always full of people so its hard to find a spot to catch up on those emails or take that quick business call. The gym is fantastic - huge and empty.

The hotel was affordable considering we started on a Saturday night, and parking was included in the price of the hotel. The room was clean, and the lobby had a beautiful bar. The only downside for our trip was the valet parking. It took over 45 minutes to get our car at checkout. That was way too long, but besides that everything was great. I would stay there again.

Nice hotel, staff are friendly, rooms have nice amenities, very clean and fresh.
Centrally located where you can walk to either shopping, entertainment places, restaurants or Parks. Just enjoyed being there every time I go.

Nice hotel. Fantastic location. Rooms are a bit small and the front desk doesn't seem to know how the room they are assigning guests are arranged nor how big they are. We were moved rooms 4 times. Each time we move the new room was the exact same lay out as the previous one and clearly could that could not fit our family. We had called ahead to make sure we could be accommodated but it didn't help.

The facility was neat and clean. The location was close to major sites, shops and restaurants. But the staff went above and beyond meet any and all needs that we had. Recognition to Kevin at the front desk, Shayla in housekeeping and Marie Jean who did an excellent job keeping our room elegant.

This is a very nice hotel in the middle of Boston with a great bar in the lobby and a real Starbucks in the corner. The rooms are ok the bathrooms are really small but clean. Parking is expensive $50 per day. If you want to save a little I suggest you park across the street in the parking garage in the Sam building as Legal Sea Food.

Beautiful hotel and great location but I wish it included internet in the room (kind of weird that it didn't). Also, when they say "cozy" room they mean COZY...like you have to shimmy between the bed and TV to get to the other side. All in all though a good deal for the price.

I stayed at this hotel while DJing for an event going on there. I would say this is a very European style property meaning that the rooms are smaller than typical American hotels and are laid out in a non standard way. That being said, the accommodations are very nice and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is a block away from the green line Arlington station on the T meaning it's very convenient to lots of popular destinations. The bar in the hotel however Is VERY expensive for a hotel bar but the bartenders also know what they're doing so maybe it's a good trade.

I was here for a conference meeting. The front desk crews were very helpful and friendly. I was preparing for an interview in which I had to use my ipad. Unfortunately, I forgot to charge my ipad and the battery was below 10% an hour before my interview started. I asked the crews in front desk to charge my ipad and they were willing to help me without hesitation. I had a very good experience in this hotel.

Kind of a mess. We booked a deluxe king room. 1st room had a double bed, broken a/c and drawers on the floor. They said it was an upgrade from the deluxe king. 2nd room was nicer but still only a queen bed. Staff were very friendly but seemed like many people but not much organization. Bathrooms were ridiculous in size. Tiny. Just not great for what should be great. Beautiful building.

Central Boston location. Can walk to China Town, Boston park, churches, museums, Lots of restaurants. Our room didn't have a microwave, I asked about it. One was sent to our room;

Every sound is heard. I am very annoyed and couldn't have a proper rest because they put me in a room next to some teenagers who were very loud, punching the doors laughing and screeming. Couldn't sleep during the night, couldn't take a nap during the day. Even after I called security nothing changed. And I am crew. I don't understand why they don't put us on a same floor rooms next to eachother,at least we all want same. Not to party just to sleep.I never called security because of the noice. It's bad I can't choose the hotel during layover.
