Room was rather a small with the table and chair taking up much of the valuable space. En-suite facilities rather tight, shower particularly narrow. In room safe was a bonus. Close to amenities and places to eat for both breakfast and dinner. In house restaurant rather expensive for what was on offer, especially the wines.

Even tho the hotel itself is old, it s very nicely renovated inside. Staff is nice and the room is comfy. Pretty good price point comparing to others relatively graded hotels. Great location as well!

I would give this 0 stars if I could. Worst hotel in Boston. It is more of a closet than a room. You can't even sit square on the toilet without removing the toilet paper roll. Embarrassing.

This hotel is dated and absolutely disgusting. The lobby is under construction, which has been covered in other reviews, but the rooms and other facilities are horrible. The rooms are tiny. The bathroom is so tiny you can barely close the door without getting in the tub. My TV didn't work when I got here. The carpet is coming apart and I have fuzz and fibers from it stuck all over my shoes, socks and suit pants. The "gym" is a couple of treadmills in an empty hotel room. My coworkers all complained of a mysterious stench in their rooms. I staid here because I had to attend a seminar being held in the hotel. Big mistake on my part. Just do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. I'd be embarrassed to be an employee or manager here. It's shocking this place is still open.

I didn't stay in the hotel I was working in one of the function rooms buts it's very beautiful and friendly. Elegant, plus Libby with a lot of access to area restaurants, parks, so on and so forth. Amazing location- beautiful hotel.

Not sure where or when the $100m refurb was done as the room we stayed in needed a deep clean and some TLC. I dropped a comb behind a unit and as I was trying to retrieve it almost choked on the dust. Toilet seat was flimsy and plastic. Would be surprised if it cost more than a quid. Linens and towels were clean and of reasonable quality . Beds clean and comfortable. Toiletries nothing special. Mould starting to appear in the bathroom. Staff polite and helpful especially housekeeping. Not as central as we would have liked. Vending machines basic and a little overpriced. Only coffee making facilities in the room which as an English person rather disappointing.

Decently priced for a Saturday evening and the quality of hotel. The fitness center was VERY nice! Rooms are small, bathrooms even smaller, but this is to be expected in Boston. Toiletries available in the room smelled really good. Be prepared...the walls are VERY thin!! We got little to no sleep as the partiers next door were up until 4 am. yelling.

Very small but extremely expensive rooms, so so staff service (it took us two tries to check in as pre-booked rooms were apparently not cleaned by 4pm), great location close to the park

Location is definitely very convenient. The view from our window was amazing. We arrived around noon and were very tired from our red eye flight. Receptionist was a very sweet lady who allowed us to check in early without charging a fee. Room was a bit small but cozy and clean. It was plenty of space for the two of us though. Would stay there again.

Customer service Review:

I have never encountered better customer service than I did today at the Boston Park Plaza. Cassie (Casandra) at the check in desk was beyond helpful in making sure my needs were met. I had a few complaints about the room and she had them taken care of immediately. She was patient, understanding and helpful!

On an off note Cassie was so patient with the customers she was attending to before me. I watched her patiently deal with 3 different customers as they yelled at her. She kindly explained hotel policy and apologized. I am in awe at the way she handled the situation. If a manager reads this please give her some kind of recognition! It was not easy to watch the way they were talking to her and the kindness she returned.

Thanks.

I went for a Harvard Model UN conference and the hotel was great. It screams luxury, the bathrooms and beds are clean. The staff was great and understanding when I locked myself out of my suite. The location is fantastic, everything is in walking distance of restaurants both expensive and cheap, night clubs, the park, bars, everything. It's a pretty safe area as well. Overall I enjoyed it.

I normally do not write reviews, but I must say that my stay was amazing. Bishal is an outstanding person and he made my time here that much more special! I will make sure to come back for sure!

When I was checking in, I asked for breakfast tickets but the front desk lady told me no need of ticket for free breakfast. the next morning, I found out I did need tickets. So I asked the front desk lady (a white lady). She said she could only give me 6 tickets for adults. so I had to go back to room to get the reservation. I came back, the white lady was busy so I came to an an Africa American lady and showed her the reservation. My reservation (for three nights) stated: breakfast, adult quantity:6; kids quantity:6; price:included. the Lady read as breakfast, adult quantity:6; kids quantity:6 priced. After a lot of augments of how to read the statement on the reservation, she went to her supervisor. Finally, I got the tickets for my son. However, when the bill came to my room the day I was leaving, I was charged with breakfast. then I had to go to the frontdesk and show the person again the reservation. When I returned the room key later, the person had to adjust the bill again in order to wave the breakfast charge. I was glade that I had a print-out reservation with me. This is very horrible experience. Also the lunch provided for my conference was icy cold and the plate for veterinarian was uneatable. Such a beautiful hotel with so low quality service, unbelievable. Another thing, you will have to pay for internet access.

Staff are rude, food is way overpriced, walls are paper thin (you can hear someone in the next room open a can of soda and it sounds like they were right next to you), and the rooms are some of the smallest I've been in. It's sad when Quality Inn has better hotel rooms.

Terrible service. They put us in the wrong room after we waited 10 mins to check in. Staff was so slow at every turn! Breakfast we had to ask multiple times for coffee, valet made us wait even when we called ahead and our bathroom had no soap. Overall way over priced considerably the rooms are small and dirty

The renovations are nice. The roomsare neat, but rather "cozy" the beds are comfy. The hotel is convenient to plentiful dining, there is on street parking nearby too. The overnight parking situation is.... expensive. The staff is extremely nice, polite and very helpful.

I was ok with the small size of the "cozy queen" in fact I have stayed in micro hotels like yo-tel and quite enjoyed them. But, the size was not well utilized, lack of shelves, and it had world's smallest shower (my shoulders we're wider than it's walls...) Overall disappointed. Room was poorly designed and the food prices are even more obscene than the Westin.

My friend and I took a trip to Boston just a few weeks ago, and we were both pleased with this hotel. It is seriously the PERFECT area if you are unfamiliar with Boston and want to be in the center of everything. There is a subway entrance the block over, so easy commuting. I will say that the hotel claims to offer windows that open, and when your air condition isn't working, you resort to opening windows. My friend and I didn't get in until really late, and the last thing we wanted was men coming in to work on our air condition. So we went to open the windows, but they would not stay open. Then we called the front desk, and they told us that their maintenance crew had to open it.. we couldn't. So overall, I would still rate this hotel as a great experience. The man we talked to on the phone gave us 30% off our stay, and was very kind.

Nice enough hotel and a great location but would never stay here again. We may request a new room tomorrow. The air conditioning doesn't really work. It generally keeps the room 10 degrees warmer than the outside air. 64 outside and 74 inside. Maintenance man didn't seemed surprised and said it felt good to him. He indicated the facility doesn't have the AC ramped all the way up to save money. Like others have commented, the bathroom is pretty small.

Driving through downtown Boston can be such a bummer. Getting to the hotel can be quite difficult if you're not from around the area. I arrived and I was instantly greeted by the valet and walked us to the inn counter. Arri at the front desk was helpful and got us checked in. The room was clean, spacious and had a great view. The bed was comfortable and clean. The walls were thick and the room was quiet. The only small complaint was the stiff shower faucet, but this was not a giant problem. I strongly recommend staying here.

Great location. However for the PRICE of the room I was not impressed. There was no A/C in the room due to the hotel being in WINTER MODE. We were told to open the window and was brought a (box) fan. I could understand the winter mode if it was cold out but it was in the 70's and 80's. The bathroom was small and had no room for tolietries. If asked if I would stay there again my answer would be probably not.

Currently undergoing an extensive exterior renovation that is restoring this historic building to the grandeur of the past. Built in a unique block this hotel features larger rooms than more recently built hotels and is in the neighborhood of several great restaurants.

Beautiful and busy, they kept some of the historic charm but skimped in some areas. Bathroom vanities are too small to small-no counter space to put toiletries, hair items etc. There is a small glass shelf under the mirror however the mirrors are surrounded in plastic and have melted from where people have placed curling irons. This is the same in regular rooms and suites. No bathrobes/slippers, otherwise fine.

Room was small (not tiny, just cozy). Definitely big enough for my husband and I. It was very clean, and the service was great. When it rained, the front desk offered us a loaner umbrella. The lobby always had freshly cut flowers, which I love. It smells very fragrant and is a beautiful space. It's conveniently located near the park and many restaurants. When we go back to Boston, it's extremely likely we will return to this hotel.

The place is very convenient and right in the centre of Boston. Stayed from 5-10 June 2017.

Room is ok for the size of Boston and they're clean. Thank you for the good job chamber maid / room valet.

However the services: reception don't have a change for USD 100. Especially in this country you need to give tips...

The bellman (bellboy), was asking tips at the last day of our stay. So no small change for him :(

The reception does not have matches (lighter)... in case you need to smoke you'll need to ask someone on the street.

Most of the receptionist smile though

The concierge, bellman need to smile more. It won't cost them much... if they don't like their job in the service industry, please kindly consider to change
