A large hotel at the center of Boston 2 minutes away from the public park, very helpful staff and lifts are quick and smooth which is a very important feature for such big hotel.

I just didn't like the size of the standard room it a little bit small problem plus room heaters are useless, the maximum room temperature I could get was 20 degrees and too noisy.

And don't expect shiny room unless you can book a room at 10 floor or more.

The room and location were great. I was there for a convention and it was pretty disorganized though. Not the convention but the hotel because of the convention. Convention spaces are nice thoigh. Better valet service would be nice. The valet must not have noticed my dash cam (or didn't care) because he liked fishtailing and spinning tires.

My wife and I stayed here for a quiet trip away from the daily grind. Neither of us had been to Boston, so a hotel with a central location was a must. There is a subway station right across the street. You are one block away from the Boston Common and Boston Gardens, which are both a great spot on a nice day. Because we were traveling without kids we opted for a smaller room, but we were both surprised at just how small the room was! I could almost stick out my arms and touch both walls! The bathroom had no wall outlets, and sitting on the toilet took a little more preparation than usual, but the shower had nice water pressure! We knew we wouldn't be spending much time in the room so the size was not an issue. We would definitely stay here again if we visited again.

This is a bustling hotel! Nice modern lobby. Rooms are TINY and noisy. The AC is loud and you can hear traffic out your window and in the hallway clear as day. I dont appreciate the toilet style, as it is very public toilet in appearance. Not a lot of space to put things either. Nice rooms though and clean. Conference room layout is confusing and poorly labelled. I would come back to this hotel, but I would definitely look at others first. Theres waits to check in often

What an elegant experience the Boston Park Plaza Hotel is unique Lee shaped and ideally situated we did a beautiful section of downtown Boston this site can be your lunch and pads at so many activities at the elegant of this older hotel cannot be under stated. Dormen, wait staff, facilities, function rooms, restaurant, bar, everything was excellent.

TLDR: First room was like a rendition facility, got no help from front desk for hours, don t stay here.

The air conditioner in our room was broken when we arrived - sounded like a power drill and produced no cold air (on a 90F evening) - pure torture. I called the front desk for help, but, after being assured that someone would come fix it, the situation had not improved by 5 hours later.

I called to ask for a room change, and, after 30 minutes on hold, the phone went dead. Subsequent calls to the desk rang indefinitely with no answer.

I then went down to the desk at 11:30pm and no-one at the desk had any idea that we d had any issue. They then moved us to a new room and said they would bring up free breakfast vouchers to make amends.... and no vouchers ever appeared.

Please avoid this place for your own good.

The room was fairly small and without any shelves or dresser for clothing and personal effects, but the most shocking part was the bathroom: so small that the shower was literally less than 18" deep. It was difficult to shower in it because my elbows kept hitting the wall. The spacing around the toilet would not permit most Americans to sit down (toilet roll hitting the leg on the side wall). And I had not booked the smallest room on offer. Despite this, the price was high: $1400 Canadian for 3 nights. The $22/night "facilities fee" is bogus: they provide mostly just wifi in return for this (along with gym), which most hotels would provide under the room fee. Also included: notary services. How often is that going to be useful to a guest? I would not recommend this hotel.

Before booking please be aware that the Park Plaza charges a scammy "facilities fee" in addition to the baseline fees and taxes. For me this was approx $25 per night, of which I was not sufficiently forewarned.

I found a great deal on this hotel through Priceline. It's certainly an upper-end hotel and quite fancy. Be warned that internet access is only available for a fee. The quality of the location can't be beat, though. Right in downtown Boston beside the park!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Boston Park Plaza. The newly renovated rooms were very nice. Everything has been upgraded and updated. With its location in proximity to many great restaurants and points of interest we will be sure to stay here in the future.

The hotel staff was warm and inviting. The room itself was not worth the cost we spent. $450 for a queen room and we had to inch between the end of the bed and the wall. There was no refrigerator in our room and the bathroom was poorly constructed (toilet not parallel to the wall, at a 45 degree angle at the wall, and the shower was slightly larger than a coffin and spilled out unto the floor and there was no way around it) and there was mildew. Save yourself the money unless you're looking to spend significantly more money for a suite.

The one bedroom suite is advertised ON THE HOTEL WEBSITE as having 1.5ba, which was important to me when I booked. I get to the suite (which is lovely) and has just one bathroom. When I called the front desk to inquire, the woman sounded shocked. None of the suites have more than one bathroom, she said. Well then why does your website say they do? I'm paying way too much for a room to be falsely advertised.

Although it was a very renovated and was at a great location, I've never got my check-in deposit. Even after calling, all they said it was that it was my problem and need it to fix it with my bank. This is just another way to get more of your money. Very disappointed, even though I had a good experience during my stay.

My daughter and I were greeted with a smile and excellent customer service by Hannah at the front desk and thanks to her we had a very enjoyable stay at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. Employees can either make or break a business and if all the employees at Boston Park Plaza are like Hannah then book your room now because it's going to be impossible to do so very soon. She obviously loves her job and is destined for success in the hospitality business. The hotel is in an excellent location and although the rooms are small, it is worth the money. If you can, ask for Hannah, you won't be disappointed!

Can't beat the location of this gem. Just a short walk to the Public Gardens, Boston Common and Newbury Street. The recently refurbished property is beautiful. The only downside was the level of street noise, even on the 9th floor.

The hotel itself is gorgeous. The lobby layout is a bit confusing, but it's an old building that's been modified many times over the years to try to keep up with the times. The rooms are on the small side, but that's to be expected with an older building. Some of the bathrooms are laughably small. It really highlights that people used to be a lot smaller than we are now. You can't get a better location in downtown Boston, there is so much to do and see nearby.
I've stayed here many times before but my last visit was the worst experience yet. Around 9:30 everyone decided to start slamming their doors and being loud in the hallways. This is when the lack of insulation between the rooms becomes obvious. Around midnight or so a drunk gentleman decided he wanted to come in my room and began pounding on the door. Maybe it was a function they were holding at the hotel that night, but the clientele at the park plaza seems to be going downhill.

Very good hotel but the lady who attends the souvenir shop, is a badly educated, discriminative person. We had a bad experience in the purchase, I recommend if you are a tourist, do not buy from there .... I would not do it again.

Spacious rooms with modern style furniture. Great location to get to the park. Bathroom was small with not great water pressure in the shower. Not a great view out the window depending on the side of the building you are on.

Exceptional Customer Service was greeted and felt welcome by staff especially Tevin at the front desk being from California you hear stereotypes of east coast being rude. We had a dessert and some drinks the bar was nice and they also we're very attentive to their customers.

Centrally located in the city. The rooms are eloquently clean and classy. The staff is also friendly and professional. The bathrooms are a bit small. And valet parking seems the only option if you have a car.

Beautiful lobby, exceptional service (Jacky and Jessica were amazing!), And very comfortable rooms. The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious.

Highly recommend, we'd definitely stay here again!

Great location and friendly staff. However, our room did not get cleaned throughout the day, they did not change towels that we had put on the bathroom floor and our bed had not been made. In other words: no signs that room service had visited our room that day.

Great experience. We are not regulars to hotels of this quality, but we found a couple of deals on a third party site and we've been impressed twice. What was most pleasant is the employees willingness to help and everything seemed well-kept. The only negative thing I would point out is that the shower of our room was so small it seemed like a prank.

Honestly, I was a little disappointed by this hotel. For starters, for such an expensive hotel, I think it's downright criminal to charge for WiFi. I mean, even the holiday inn has free WiFi! Also, it wasn't quite as luxurious as I was expecting. I mean, it wasn't bad by any stretch, but just not what I was expecting.

Excellent Hospitality!

Right in the middle of everything
NOT your average hotel gym. It's a Professional Gym with Squats, Dead lift racks along with other weight machines

If I could rate this hotel less than 1 star I would.

I was forced to come here for a conference. The rooms are tiny and dated. The air conditioner in my room hardly worked and I couldn't get it to turn colder.

They charged $12 each day for wifi, but it went down, every day. It wasn't until I saw a guy in a Comcast shirt in the elevator that it came back up. I was also charged a long distance fee to call their IT help desk regarding the wifi - where I spoke to Peggy from the credit card commercials. FYI - I work in IT, it was a problem on their end, not mine.

Speaking of elevators - they have 6, but only 2 seem to be running. If you are running late for something good luck.

The bathtub MOVED every time I stepped into it. The paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling. The carpet was coming up in my room.

The rooms do not have fridges or microwaves. They give you a keurig and 2 coffees, but mine was buried back behind my tv and tough to get to.

I left to go out to the conference the one day and let my door close behind me. When i got back I noticed my door was slightly open - be sure to pull your door closed if you are forced to stay here. Luckily nothing was stolen in my room.

I walked about a block to get lunch the one day to bring to my room and eat. I had forgotten to ask the sandwich shop for a fork. When I got to the hotel I asked the front desk for some silverware - they said they didn't have any at the front desk but they could send it up to my room. I waited about 20 minutes as my food got cold (remember, no microwave). Went out to the hallway and found one of the cleaners and asked if they had any - they didn't. They called the front desk via walkey talkey - front desk said "we don't have any, you have to call room service". The cleaner said "I'm not in front of a phone, can you call room service and send it to the room?" The person on the other end said "sure, but let the person know there is a charge to send silverware to their room." ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I patiently waited for the elevator again and went back down 10 floors to get my own silverware.

The conference was held in a big ballroom, that was very antique. It looked like it was beautiful when it was built - which is likely the last time it was cleaned! The chandeliers looked like they were falling apart, and could see the cobwebs on them from 50 feet away.

The continental breakfast was lacking and unorganized. We had a fire drill the one day during our conference (great planning guys!).

Despite the great location, I would highly suggest you find another hotel if you are looking to come to Boston.

Shoe box sized rooms and ridiculous rates for a poorly aged hotel. If you are coming for PAX East, book somewhere else, anywhere else and you'll be happier.

Oh, and the pictures of the rooms on their website? Yeah, you won't be staying in anything that looks even remotely like that. Completely misleading.
