Very friendly and curtious staff. Close to the subway. Rooms are slightly smaller than usual but very cozy.

Great location, clean, nice lobby, maybe the rooms are not well soundproofed
Beautiful place but the service doesn't match. Was there for the sox game on vacation. A lot of government and business executives stay there, however if you are not one of them you cannot get any help. Will not return.
It is a very old hotel. Even though it has been upgraded, still could replace bathroom doors. No fans in the bathroom. Very thin walls and could hear the neighbors talking and yawning loudly. Had a good buffet breakfast.
The staff is very nice and the rooms are very clean. For the price the rooms are really small.
Lovely hotel.Everything you need is just around the corner
They charge you 17.50 a DAY for wifi and gym even if you dont use either service. Won't be staying here again.
Just ok room. Small room. Bathroom was not impressive.
My boyfriend and i stay here on christmas day it was one of the worse place people were not friendly and two brand new pair of shoes were stolen from one of the first rooms it was never return or any notice or letter of apology and parking was 50 dollars a noght which is very unhospitality wit the rates we paid parking should of been complimented we were very unhappy and ruined my first christmas wit him
Newly remodeled classic hotel, clean rooms, friendly staff, comfortable bed and higher end technology features in the room (cromecast built into the tv and high speed wifi in every room). Be prepared for a mandatory daily fee above the room fee when you show up (was a suprize to us at $15 a day)...
Great location. Staff helpful. Beautiful lobby/bar area.
Room was small, bathroom even smaller!!
Representative at front desk have my toddler a small stuff monkey. He's still running around with it!
Good location. Service was decent. Unfortunately they turned the AC off for the winter apparently but also don't let you open the windows so it was unbearably hot in our room by 3am (79 degrees and rising). They provided us with a box fan but it seems like it would have been simpler and 100% more effective to just let us crack the window. I know it's only one thing but, we only stayed there for one night and it basically made it impossible to sleep, which makes it difficult to enjoy the hotel since that's basically what it's for.
Also bathroom was small, no bathroom fan either.
Beware when booking via website and mobile. I clicked on "deluxe two queens" room - the site took me to where I click on the date - then gave me a rate of $357 per night. I booked and when I got my confirmation the room was only one queen bed. When I contacted the hotel they said it would be almost $100 dollars more for two queen beds. Seriously? Apparently there was a tiny spot on the upper left in the mobile site where I needed to change from 1 person to 2 to get two queens - even though ALL the info on the room clearly stated
DELUXE TWO QUEENS. There was no reason to think I was booking ONE queen bed when THE NAME OF THE ROOM EVERYWHERE ON THE WEBSITE SAID DELUXE TWO QUEENS. This is a clear bait and switch- very sneaky, very tacky, very low.
The staff was great but the room was horrible! We had a deluxe room which was super small for more than one person and was clean enough but definitely had room for improvement. The shower was dirty, almost like cleaner was sprayed in it and then never scrubbed or rinsed, just left to drip down the walls. There was a banana peel and gum in the garbage can and what looked like carpet powder around the outside edges of everything. The worst part for me was the bedding... It felt like plastic sand paper draped over a moss covered rock, the crib they brought up for our baby was the same except there was no moss on that rock. Again the staff was so so good and the location was great.
Honestly a beautiful hotel, small bathroom but that comes with the age of the building
I did not like that the wiffi is worth almost 30 dollars Very ironic that for common areas it is free and for members you have to pay after you rent them a room
Location is good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are tiny, not well appointed, noisy, and overall disappointing. Expect to pay a lot for everything.
The front desk was a little confused at check-in due to me booking online.
Little concerned that the checkout process will not be smooth.
Rooms are decent size, especially for the rate. Bathrooms are tiny, so beware. Toilet leaks when flushed, but not horrible.
I have not done much inside the hotel, so not sure about the other amenities.
Just beware that things are smaller than you may be used to.
Gorgeous hotel, good price, helpful staff, and centrally located to lots of attractions!
Wifi not included. Showers, in my case, did not worked that well.
Beautifully beautiful hotel and very friendly staff
The hotel is near many tourist spots. Especially near the zone china town, small rooms, empty water in the room, no extras The air in the bedroom works loudly, the lobby is busy all the time. Because of the Asian people staying a lot
I have previously stayed at the Park Plaza without problems as it is conveniently located and well-priced. My last visit was a bit of a mixed-bag though. They are apparently renovating the rooms, which is needed. I was awoken at just after 6am by the sound of construction that sounded like it was in the adjacent room. I later found out it was actually the floor above. Since I was up a couple of hours before I needed to be, I went downstairs to grab breakfast. After about 15 minutes, the waiter started to rush me out, by asking me when I wanted the bill. He then just placed it on the table anyway. I took that as a sign and got up and left. It wasn't crowded and there was no one waiting to be seated. Everyone else I dealt with at the hotel was otherwise very friendly. I was comped some charges due to the construction noise.
Very nice looking hotel. Very clean. Some details were disappointing. The restaurant in the main area was not great. Super slow, unattractive wait staff and the food was just ok.
The rooms are beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful
Super nice hotel! We were only there for one night, but enjoyed it very much. Staff was very friendly and competent, room big enough, modern and very clean. The breakfast was very delicious by American standards. Any time!
Very simple to get around. Courteous staff. Very enjoyable experience.
Sure, it's nice, but beware of the hidden charges (facility fee, internet fee, required deposit of $75 that has yet to be refunded.) And just fyi, if you book a queen bed, it's actually a full bed (because they use "European" bed sizes...) I complained about the small size of the bed (and room), and the fact that I wasn't in Europe, so they gave me an upgrade to a king room (not a European size bed, a genuine U.S. king.) They do have customer satisfaction skills. And it is a really nice place and great location.
Don't be fooled, this place is a dive. I was fooled by the "Towers Rooms" which are on the top floor and are supposed to be nicer than the average rooms but the room was extremely tired looking and about 30 years overdue for a remodel. The furniture was old and looked like something you'd see at a used furniture warehouse. What little artwork there was also looked like something from a used furniture warehouse. I can't think of one single thing about this hotel that I would consider luxurious.
Hotel after renovation is MUCH better. The rooms used to be old and dated and they've done a great job with updating.
Such a beautiful property. They do understand service.
Staff friendly lobby nice but the rooms are quite small but modern
It is a good hotel, but the rooms are very small. The views are to an interior courtyard. Breakfast is not bad, but it is a bit strange to do it in the hotel lobby. The location is perfect, next to Common Park and very close to the Charles River Esplanade. It is advisable knowing the limitations that it has.
Rooms very tiny. Bathroom is very tiny. No exhaust. No parking. Cost 58. For valet. Ridiculous seeing what u pay for a room... Housekeeping rags in room at arrival.. No breakfasts unless you pay 22. For eggs. Homefries and toast. God forbid. A sandwich. 24. I would never recommend it if u are not rich... Was totally not worth it
Huge hotel, great base to explore the city. A little to classic for my taste.
Location is very nice . It is possible to find parking sometimes if not it's 38$ per night at the nearest public parking . Rooms however are small and I don't mind but this was not advertised anywhere, it was an unpleasant surprise. The bathroom is tiny, I'm 6'1 and the bathroom is very uncomfortable for me. The bathroom has no exhaust in the bathroom . Because the door is about 5 ft away from the bed I could hear everything in hall.
Great location right next to Boston Common, and the Arlington station. Nice room.
Historic hotel in the center. A stone's throw from the Boston Common and the main streets of the city. Beautiful structure, rather small rooms as well as bathrooms. Cleaning improvable. Nice inside bar near the reception. Paid Wi-Fi. It has a nice gym and indoor restaurant. courteous and helpful.
I enjoyed my stay at Boston Park Plaza a lot. The woman who checked us in, Mikiko I believe was her name, was very friendly and gave us a complimentary room upgrade when we arrived. We were able to check in and check out quickly. The room we got had a lot of space, I assume because of the upgrade. Great view. It included a bed, a couch, chairs, and a large TV stand/desk. Very clean and modernly decorated. Bathroom was a bit small, but it didn't bother us at all! :) Only complaint was that we were trying to use the ChromeCast on the television, and were very disappointed when, even after the hotel staff coming in to fix the issue when we were out, that it would still not work. We called again and were told maintenance would be in soon. They did not show up. Not a huge issue as we weren't in Boston for the TV, but still slightly annoying. But definitely will return here when I go to Boston in the future :)
This year's Arisia sci fi convention is at the Park Plaza. It's a nice hotel, but a little small for this convention.
Great place. Would recommend this place to friends and family, and would stay there again next visit. Great location and good parking options. Right around the corner from the beautiful Boston Public Garden.
Gorgeous location for a wedding. Loved the grand staircases as well as the cocktail hour rooms the reveal into the main dining room was great too. The main room had beautiful chandeliers as well as a very grand stage. Great location for a large wedding, wonderful service. Has the filet and it was good.
Rooms are definitely small, the bathroom door almost hits the toilet. No counter in the bathroom so I used the sink as a counter :/ there is a small narrow counter above the sink but not functional. I prefer staying at a Homewood Suites for the spaciousness, work space and comfort. This is definitely a beautiful hotel and well worth the price but like I said I prefer more of a spacious area where I can relax and work. Also no matter what temperature I put on the thermostat it does not get over 63 in the room because of the single pane windows! 18 degrees outside with 50 mph gusts so it is Freezing in my room!
We had booked a two double-bed room and was under the expectation that it was the room we'd be staying in. We were traveling as three adults who could not all fit in one bed. Unfortunately to our dismay the hotel did not have any two double-bed rooms that we booked and paid for (their excuse was that there was another event happening and they had given all the rooms out) and somehow three adults were stuck in a one double-bed room. Take a look at the attached photo about how we had to make it work.
Also if you love showering in the space of a linen closet this hotel is for you!
Had a great experience staying at the Boston Park Plaza! Rooms were very nice and the hotel is located in the perfect spot right next to the Boston Common, this made it easy to walk and explore the back bay and downtown Boston. Would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful hotel. The remodel completed in 2016 has left the hotel looking elegant and charming. The room was clean and updated but the bathroom was small. The lobby bar was classy and the facilities like the fitness spa incredible. I will be back soon.
The public spaces in this hotel are quite nice however the rooms were ridiculously small and it was not a good experience I don't think I'll stay there again
Hotel is great. Perfect location with reasonable prices. The rooms are comfortable with great amenities.
Amazing hotel,so clean! The location is perfect! I giving 4 stars because the sofa bed was so uncomfortable! But we Definitely will be back !
Service stinks. Additionally I left some clothes in the room and called back 4 times to get them sent back but nobody bothered to return my call. Save your money.
Came here for dinner at the restaurant Off the Common. They were able to accommodate our group of ten on short notice. Overall none of the food stood out but everything was good. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable including finding some food for a nine month old child.
Nice place, booking rooms is misleading tlse photo for non similar rooms but over all pleasent
good service loved the facility tied in to lynx gym. rooms too small. i had queen bed
Decrepit old hotel over-charging guests for a two-star experience
Small rooms. Bad bathrooms. Not great for the price.
Beautiful hotel. My favorite one in Boston so far.
Hotel is nice, but rooms are exceptionally small and have nowhere to set your things in the bathrooms.
Nice hotel good bar , good location , love the Starbucks actually in the hotel just next to it
Comfortable, clean, spacious room. Staff was helpful and very friendly. Gorgeous open lobby with lots of open seating for visiting, playing games, and relaxing. You feel really fancy without totally breaking the bank. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Boston.
My room was fine but small. Very comfy bed. Fridge doesn't seem to be working. Update, I talked to maintenance and got the fridge replaced, plus they comped me a meal for the trouble since I lost a bunch of food. GREAT SERVICE!
