The less than polite valet man did not set a nice tone for my night with my wife. Checking in took a slight turn for the better as Antonio offered my wife and I water bottles; it could ve been a bit more enjoyable had he seemed not so stern/angry. When we arrived to our room, I thought I was missing a doorway leading to the other half. To my dismay, that was it. The bathroom was laughably small. When I tried to turn the mini lamp on next to the TV, I realized it didn t work... same thing with the mini fridge, which eventuated in food which I had brought with me, being ruined. We only had one towel in the room, and there is absolutely no temperature control; the heat would blast for a few minutes, drying our noses, and then not go on again before we found ourselves shivering... all night. For the price and area, there are far better options. The only nice part, from my experience, was the aesthetic of the lobby. I truly wish I could ve enjoyed it much more.

Perfect location and beautiful historic landmark - however the rooms need an facelift and the hotel can be ran better.

The line at the front desk is never too long when I was there however it moves extremely slow. The first time I checked in at this hotel, I was given a room key that led me to a room where another guest is already staying in the room - I found out by opening the door and the guest was in the bathroom!

Not sure when they renovated, but the new decor is nice. We were given an accessible room, which was more spacious than it sounds like other rooms are. You can stream video from your phone or laptop to the TV, which is pretty awesome. If you have a car and arrive after 8 but are leaving before 10, look for street parking - meters are free until 8 AM, and you can use the Park Boston app to pre-pay the first two hours.

The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. But, at around 1:30 in the morning the fire alarm went off and no one seemed to be leaving their rooms. Me and my mom took no chances and got out the there. People slowly milled out into the lobby and outside. After a while they told us there had been smoke in the basement. Apparently at around 2am the club attached to the hotel let's out and the drunk people went noisily into the night, squealing tires and yelling. It sounded like they were right outside our door even though we where on the 18th floor.

It is an excellent hotel. Really well located, with very good attention from all the staff. Willing to solve any inconvenience. The room they gave us first was very small, but due to the error of the agency, for that reason we were assigned another much more spacious and comfortable. It's not cheap, but it's very recomemdable

Excellent hotel, good service, great location (even for those who use the excellent Boston subway system). The room offers all the comforts of a good hotel. Everything very clean, comfortable bed, coffee machine, great view of the park and underneath the hotel you find several very good bars and restaurants. It is also great for anyone who is going to do business as it is situated in a mall in Boston.

The hotel was a bit hard to navigate, but very upscale and well appointed. I was there for the FeeEx Office facility hidden on the second floor, which was serviceable but smaller than expected.

No pool

What a disappointment this hotel was. I travel to Boston regularly and decided to try a different hotel. Terrible terrible service. Bathroom not very clean and the room itself was a big cold bore. Certainly not worth the money. Its only redeeming quality was its location.

Great location and newly decorated, but the entrance where the valet was was closed. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but it was small and rather Spartan. The bathroom was particularly small.

Elegant old hotel. Courteous staff. Clean. Access to a phenomenal gym. I've stayed here twice and thoroughly enjoyed myself both times. Located in the heart of the Back Bay. Everything you could ask for within walking distance. Decent room service food.

Excellent location. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Luxurious. Great lounge area. Very helpful staff.
We used the valet parking from the hotel. It costs 50$ per day with the option of multiple in and out, which was totally worth it for us travelling with kids for the convenience.

Beautiful lobby, easy check-in, great bar. Original room was cramped so they upgraded us to a deluxe suite. That being said, I would have been disappointed with the smaller room (almost no bathroom counter space) so I'm knocking a star. Otherwise a great experience!

Apparently recently renovated I felt like a rich person staying here but it was actually one of the more reasonable downtown options. Everything is super clean, comfortable, love the showers, exceptional service, easy check in, excellent all around.

Stayed here recently. Room was smaller than expected. Room service was insanely overpriced and a big problem was with the plumbing. The water had a yellow tint and by Saturday both me and my wife were sick from what can only be concluded was lead or copper toxicity. She threw up all day Saturday and Sunday. And I followed suit Sunday. I understand the building is over 100 years old, but is the plumbing as well? Stay at a Hyatt or Marriott, at least they have a complimentary breakfast. ...bed was comfortable tho. Pillows...thinner than the way the hotel left our wallets.

The AC worked fabulously! Beautiful, if a bit gaudy, but definitely luxe. Rooms are strangely small. I'm unsure if that is a city-wide issue, but stay away from the petit or cozy rooms, as they are like broom closets and have twin beds inside. The bar and restaurant spaces provide great atmosphere!, and the meeting rooms were perfectly equipped. I would happily stay here again.

Great hotel, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms.
During the booking it wasn't clear that wifi isn't necessarily included, so we could chose between paying to login every device or an upgrade room with included wifi.
Gym and Starbucks access through the hotel.
Great location within walking distance to Boston common, the prudential center and even the waterfront within 20 minutes.

The hotel was very nice and we only stayed one night. We knew we got a small room but the bathroom was tiny and hardly had enough room for one person. Other then that the staff was very kind and everything was very clean.

Beautiful lobby, great location and courteous staff. Hotel rooms are clean, but nothing special. For the price, I would have expected a lot more. Beware the rooms with king sized beds - they are small, and the showers are impractically narrow and tiny.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a recent trip to Boston and it is a very nice hotel in a good area which was walking distance to shops, theaters, and restaurants. The staff was nice and we were able to get bottled water for free daily. The room wasn't big but it was nice and comfortable.

What I didn't like was that on 2 different days there was a fire alarm going off. One of those was 1:30 am on the first night and our floor plus bunch of others all had to leave using the stairs. Then the all clear announcement sounded without any explanation at all both times. Besides that, the WiFi isn't free.

Well positioned hotel in downtown Boston. Looking good for the refurbishment. The rooms are a little on the small side and the rates a little on the high, though this is perhaps to be expected given location.

I had a great stay! The bed was comfy, room cozy, and the location amazing! My room was very nice and modern, with a small bathroom, and not much of a view. The lobby was very nice, and the building's walls and floor are substantial enough that I had no issues hearing people in other rooms or other floors. Friendly staff at check-in. I definitely recommend the Boston Park Plaza.

You have to be a little pushy or they will downgrade your room without telling you. The check in people are very capricious and arbitrary about who they will give complimentary water on first day check in. I enjoyed the room after Paige Dougherty at the Front desk saved my vacation and accommodated me properly after the prior nights shabby check in. I liked the stay and they have tastefully updated the rooms. Great location.

The location is excellent and the facility is nice. Staff is kind and courteous. The walls are very thin and any sound can easily be heard from neighboring rooms. The facilities could use some repairs.

An old building, so give some grace where grace is due, but at that, the toilet flooded and the AC unit was faulty at best. However, the staff promptly responded to these facility issues and they were friendly.

Had some problems with check-in as they could not find my booking even though My account had been charged. Eventually checked in later in the evening.

Secondly, the valet parking charged $85 USD per day!! Like whaaaaattt??? Did not even clean the car!

I mean, it s not like a five star hotel but however, the room was tidy and the whole space smelled fresh

Would stay again but never paying that much for parking a regular car.

Upon our arrival there was a used bar of soap in the bathroom so who knows how clean the rest of the room is. Bathroom was hardly big enough for one person. Outlets not working, horrible WiFi. There was a party going on next door til 3am and we could hear every word they were saying the walls were so thin. I don't even want to write what we heard on the other side all I can say is thank god we didn't have children with us.

Beautiful hotel with accents from both modern and old. This is a wonderful hotel to go to. The location is good and close to the T. Although room service never brought us coffee when we asked and the hotel store is about 4 times as much as a local CVS. If you can afford the slightly higher price tag of this hotel then it's a great stay.

Spacious, soundproofed room. Well cleaned. The bathroom too small the uncomfortable sink not accessible for the shelf attached too close to the tap. Plentiful breakfast with plenty of quality and fresh fruit. Very friendly staff
