0 stars if possible. Worst hotel stay ever. Stayed 2 nights. Small dirty bathroom. Staff extremely unhelpful. I asked for a microwave and they said they'd bring one up. After 2 hour of waiting I went down to the front desk to ask what was going on. They told me to go back to my room and call and request a microwave again. After finally getting a hold of someone competent they said they didn't have any more microwaves, after 2.5 hours of waiting for one. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone. There are plenty of better AND CHEAPER options in Boston. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!

Great service. We got a cozy room and it is super cozy. We didn't plan on being in the room much so it's great for us. Good location for checking out south end of Boston.

The Boston Park hotel was a wonderfully refurbished hotel with modern amenities. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and my group and I particularly enjoyed the bar and lounge and their interesting culinary and offerings as well as their libations.

Stayed at this hotel for 13nights! Lovely place with super helpful concierge! We upgraded our room below the listed price for 12 nights thanks to the amazing staff. The small room is extremely tiny, barely fits 2. But the medium room size is almost double despite only 10-20% price difference.
Wifi is great, works well 24/7. Safe deposit box is working fine on the 3 rooms we booked. Hot water wasn t the best, unstable in some room. Shower is not the best as well due to the hot water and knob problem.
Fridge was working on 2 out of 3 rooms.
Clean and comfy firm bed. Fantastic TV with chromecast (smart capabilities with smartphone) and tons of TV Channels!
Too bad all of our rooms are pretty far from the elevator because there are a lot of rooms on each floor.
Room service is pretty pricy, you should order ubereats or get some snacks at starbucks in the lobby.

From the outside of this hotel, the Boston Park Plaza appears to be a grand, clean and elegant hotel in the idillyc Back Bay area of Boston, Massachusetts. Recommended to me by a colleague of the NBA the hotel was anything but.
Unfortunately the customer service does not meet the same standards that was hoped and drastically needs to be improved. After staying at the hotel over the 2018 festive period, I was greeted with a family in room 14084 who continually distrupted my stay with their loud noises and banging all throughout the evening and night.
After advising Frank and Lauren at the front desk that I was unhappy with the continued shouting and banging from 14084, my request to change rooms were denied as they were full
although Scott did try to upsell me another room upon arrival for an extra $15 a night only 5 hours earlier.
In addition to the above on the day of check out I was greeted by a maid trying to force me out of my room before the agreed check out time, as well as a fee bill placed under my door at 05:30 which was not advised at the time of arrival.
Sadly I would not recommend this hotel due to the lack of customer experience I received. The room was satisfactory and clean and may work for another business traveller, I however will not be returning.

Beautiful hotel centrally located near the Commons. There is so much to do within an easy walk that you could easily stay and play in a two or three block radius. Rooms are small, but they make it work. I highly recommend the hotel.

Terrible experience, hope they fix a lot of things. First, got charged 3 times the security fee and nobody in the front desk was able to explain it. Second, super small rooms ( not worth the investment of 110 usd per night). Third, wi-fi is terrible. Lastly, employees are not problem solvers. I really thought by reading these comments that it will be great, but I guess people were not honest at all. This is just a constructive comment for the management of this hotel. Hope you change!

Negative points: bathrooms way too small and airco units are very noisy, even when shut down.

It was ok. The lobby is nice and fancy however the room left lots to be desired. It wasn't cleaned very well as there was a lot of green sticky substance all over the table. The door to the room didn't clasp shut on it's own so if you didn't pull it shut your door would remain unlocked.

I stayed here in room 9059 on 29th Oct 2017.
I checked out at around 155 pm. Within approx 1 hour I realized I forgot my cell phone charger in the room.
I went to the reception. One house keeping person accompanied me to the room but they were not able to trace it. Pretty evident that cleaning staff has got it and they would not have returned it to lost and found
Bad bad bad experience, beware of staying here.

as noted by some other guests, you can hear people taking and laughing in the hallways...also had a couple belligerent angry guys yelling at each other at 1am for 15 minutes...

It's a nice hotel in a nice part of town, and as I'm here for a conference, I'm quite pleased with the level of attention the staff gives to its attendees and conference partners. And I like the updated rooms. However, if you can request a specific room, choose one as high up as possible. I'm on the 5th floor right now, and I can hear every vocal and feel every beat from the DJ entertaining whatever function is going on in the ballroom. It's like living in a college dorm. Same thing happened last night. I'd suggest that the hotel cordon off the entire 5th floor and fill each room with soundproofing material so that guests on floors 6 and up can get some sleep.

Organized and held our high school reunion at Boston Park Plaza hotel. We were introduced to their new venue Avenue 34. Over the our reunion weekend, our guests were very satisfied with Park Plaza's professional service and their top-level facility. Especially, their banquet service team was exceptional. We had Alicia and Meghan for two dinners - they're the BEST team. It's your Boston banquet Destination for any kind of event. The team can handle any kind of unexpected situations -unnoticed show up, last minute change of seating plan, perfect service timing, etc. A piece of advice - if you want to hold your event at Avenue 34 and need extra theatrical effect on the stage, you should add a spotlight. Their pre-installed lighting is a bit weak.

Good overall but I was expecting better attention to details considering the price.
When entering my room I thought the lights wete broken because an old switch is on the wall just next to the door but does... nothing.
There was an old lamp box under the nightstand... letting me wonder if they really clean their rooms thoroughly. I'm quite sensitive to dust allergies and my nose was not really happy. There is a clock radio on the nightstand, the one in my room was set with 15 minutes advance, and a colleague got woken up at 5:00 AM due to a previous customer alarm still set.
A few things you can expect in this price range were missing:
- no bathrobe nor flip-flops
- not a single bottle of water, just drink from the sink
- not even 1 international AC plug converter, event the shaver plugs are US only
Even if we had booked in advance for one specific class of room we were told during check-in that they were not available and they gave some other room. Mine was alright, rather spacious, but my colleague got a really tiny tiny room.

Main areas of the hotel are updated and very nice. Good bar area in lobby and Starbuck's onsite. Rooms are average size, very small bathrooms and stark rooms. All areas were clean. I booked two rooms and one was ready early and the other was 3 hours past check in (6pm). They front desk told me repeatedly the room would be ready in 20 minutes as they were cleaning it. The third time I approached to see if the room was ready they said it was not ready because they upgraded the room. Not sure what relevance this had as they claimed they were cleaning. I was told I would be issued a credit and was not. I made two attempts to reach the hotel to resolve (their computers were down at check out) and received no response. Hotel was ok overall but disappointing service.

The hotel looks fantastic; the lobby and rooms are decorated quite well and it feels like a luxury hotel. The staff has been very friendly and helpful during my stay. The hotel does have many nice feature like a bar in the lobby and space heaters just outside the front doors. The biggest problem that I have with the hotel is that it costs extra if you want WiFi in your hotel room, which is absolutely ridiculous. I've never before seen a hotel room that charges for such a basic amenity. The elevators are programmed kind of poorly (although that's only a problem during conferences or other events with a very large number of guests). Overall, it's a good hotel but that lack of free WiFi makes it hard to recommend.

The hotel lobby looks really nice and the restaurant has pretty good food for pretty reasonable prices as far as hotels go. However, the checkout process is tedious, and we were promised a king-sized bed and ended up in a tiny room half the size of a normal hotel room, and the bed was at best a full size. Convenient location and stayed here for a conference, but probably wouldn't be my first choice otherwise.

I'm freezing! Asked how to adjust the heat as I'm FREEZING. No one told me the heat has not yet been turned on in the building. Ordered second duvet, need third. They are paper thin and not warm. They brought me a space heater, hopes this helps.

Good:
Good location with lots of walkable restaurants and sites. Nice style, feels recently renovated. Clean rooms and comfy beds.
Bad:
Expensive with hollow feeling of luxury, not even bottled water in room. Lots of rooms with bad view. Tiny rooms, many dont even have room for a desk. Don't expect larger room or better view when paying for more expensive premium room. Indifferent front desk staff. Overall poor value, better options available.

Great customer service, great price a lot of the time, great location, small rooms, but it's Boston and that's to be expected. Not like you're there to hang out in your room exclusively, not with this location anyway! The place is beautiful, too.

Th location of Park Plaza hotel in Boston is great! The room was really tiny and poor insulation...we were awoken in the middle of the night by a screaming toddler. The best part was the in room keurig for coffee. As an avid morning coffee drinker I didn't have to search around or pay for my morning coffee. I would recommend this place because of the location being so convenient to many sites.

The location was the only redeeming fact is the location. The lobby was under renovation and what needed a facelift more was the customer service. The rooms were tiny and old much like what I expect for Europe not a modern US city. I will not be staying here again.

The common is beautiful and staff is awesome! We've definitely had better rooms, ours was very quaint. Tiny desk the size of an end table was probably my biggest gripe, other than the TV not working, but, I never contacted anyone about that. I really appreciate their going green efforts, not having to have our linens and towels changed every time we left was nice. We stayed in a superior king room and did not order any of the food, much too pricey.

I reserved what I thought was a room with two Queen beds in it. It turns out, it was not. I called several days ahead of my stay to ensure that there was a cot in my room. When I arrived, there was not. When I asked the front desk about said cot, they said that there was no note in my reservation about a cot, even though I called the hotel three days earlier, spoke to an operator, and said operator indicated that I would have a cot in my room. So, I asked for a cot, and when one arrived at my room, the gentlemen bringing it up showed us that there was no way that a cot would fit in the room. I asked about getting extra pillows, and the front desk agreed to send them up. However, said pillows never arrived. So, I spent two rather restless nights sharing a bed with my friend, and depriving us both of sleep.
Now, to be fair, things might have been better if it wasn't PAX weekend. But, still, given my experience, I will not stay at the Boston Park Plaza in the future if I should go to PAX.
Aside from the front desk being catastrophically bad in room and asset management, though, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It just seems that during convention time, this is not the place to go.

Beautiful, modern decor. Friendly, accommodating staff. Perfect location. Cannot say enough about our stay this past Friday. Humar greeted us with a smile upon check-in, gave us the lay of the land and even sent me, my daughter and step-mom a complimentary treat for our Birthday celebration. Saturday morning breakfast in the lobby met our rather high expectations. A definite must-try is the Brioche French Toast! Great job Park Plaza Boston. We hope to be back very soon!
