Nothing here is worth the price! Paid parking, paid Wi-Fi, no pool, with all the history that spoke about on the website when you get here it is completely lacking any kind of historical facts. The rooms have been updated to try to keep up with the times making all the authentic and historical facts about the building seem a distant memory. The run of the house room that were booked for our conference were some of the smallest rooms I've ever seen in my entire life! Barely enough room to turn around and you would never want more than two people in the room at a time. Everything seems disorganized and very overpriced for what you're getting! A motel 8 would have better service, bigger rooms and some kind of amenities!

Worst service I ve ever received at a hotel. Valet didn t even help with bags, front desk acted like I was inconveniencing him by checking in. In the room, there were 2 half drunk bottles of water in the mini fridge (great cleaning!)
Room service was great from service to food.
Oh and the bed was like sleeping on wood.

Perfect location and usually one of the best deals in the city. Have only stayed in the older rooms (which are fine, not great) but they are in the process of updating all of them. In the meantime, booking a "renovated" room in the meantime is probably worth it, if available.

Beautiful, historic hotel in a great location close to the Boston Common and Newbury Street. Well appointed, newly renovated rooms and bathrooms. My only complaint is the rooms are a little loud. You can hear a fair amount of street noise from the rooms facing the street.

This hotel had an extremely friendly staff, clean room, and great location. My wife and I were very happy and comfortable with our stay. Room amenities included a Chromecast which was really nice. The location is right near the Commons and we walk just about everywhere. Plenty to each and drink within just a few blocks. We used to live in Boston and this hotel was a great fit for our visit back.

I went to Boston Part Plaza because I'm in my college's Model UN, and the Harvard Model UN Conference was in Boston Park Plaza, and it was great. It's proximity to both the hotel and the food court made it the ideal place to stage an event. Great memories were made, and I highly recommend it

Terrific location, spacious, bright room, and a huge bathroom (can probably fit a rollaway bed in there). Love the automated blind system that really blocks out street lights. Bathroom features many handrails and is very accessible. The bed is a bit soft and pillows a bit low for my preference, but this is completely subjective.

Great location near the public garden and bikeable from the Charles River Greenway. I did not stay here but attended a conference. Food was good and I appreciated that they labeled stuff for people with food sensitivities.

Excellent location, great service, good and cozy rooms. We did not like to hear noises from outside the room. The rooms seem not to be isolated from noise good enough. Nevertheless a good pick which is worth staying!

I stayed at this hotel while I was attending the Pax East convention. The hotel was 10-15 minutes away from the Boston Convention center which was convenient for my group. Our room had 2 beds and the service was great. I've stayed at this hotel 3 times for Pax and personally have had no complaints in regards to the services provided.

located in downtown Boston, good appearance as a hotel, however, our room was cold and the heater didn't work the way it should be. We talked to the manager and got to upgraded suite, and 50 dollar restaurant credits. overall experience wasn't that bad.

I wish I could give it ZERO stars... one of the worse stays I have had all year, and I stay in hotels on WEEKLY basis! For three nights in a row my room key would not work, requiring multiple trips and calls to the front desk to have security eventually open the door to my (smelly) old room. Run down, over priced and overall SUBPAR hotel. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The room was small but modern and clean. The bed was comfortable with high quality bed linen. The hotel itself is large and busy, but seems to be run efficiently. The staff are friendly and helpful and our check-in was completed in minutes. The elevators are large and plentiful and we never waited more than a few seconds for one. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Although aesthetically, the Boston Park Plaza hotel is very nice, the room I stayed in left much to be desired. There are no outlets in the bathroom so I couldn't see while doing my hair. Also, the walls are paper thin and I heard sounds I never wish to hear again from next door. And lastly, the staff in the restaurant are snobs. I'd rather stay elsewhere next time.

Nice hotel Clean room however Cosy Queen room was cosy. Ok for 2 people for 3 nights but might need more space if coming for longer as very little storage for clothes.
Found one particular member of bar staff rude.

We have had a lovely time here, Gigi the concierge was super helpful and was so kind. After a long day, we came back to the room to find a lovely suprise and handwritten note wishing us a happy anniversary. Truly an eceptional experience!

Booked my stay based on a recommendation. I was a little worried based on some of the reviews about what maybe I'd gotten myself into. But I must say, it's a really great hotel. Everyone was super friendly, something you don't exactly expect from Boston. Rooms were very European, the necessities...that's it. However, the bed was ultra comfy, so much that I overslept the next morning. Good sized television. My ONLY gripes were the toddler sized ironing board, and the shower. I'm only 5'2", and I couldn't maneuver in the shower stall without bumping an elbow, a knee, even my head at every turn. But overall it was a great stay with lots to do close by and in walking distance.

I stayed here for a few nights because they had by far the best prices in the neighborhood. I have no complaints at all; for the price and area, it seemed like a fine hotel. You find little echoes of its roaring twenties roots all over the place, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi was included in the room price, and they threw in a few other freebies like a subscription to a phone app for reading newspapers and such. The neighborhood is great! Just a block from Boston Public Garden, and there seemed to be a huge variety of theaters and shopping just down the street. I'd definitely stay again!

We've been staying at the Park Plaza every year since 2001. The new renovations are interesting. I don't know how it fits in with the historic nature of the hotel. But the the new rooms are a great improvement. The music in the lobby makes you feel like you're at a club. The employees are great. Very friendly and helpful. New menu is incredible.

Newly renovated closets.... Now rooms! But seriously the rooms are too small to be functional or comfortable. Everything is too small to be practical and the quality of the renovations look like the training ground for tile setters and trim carpenters. For a 4 star hotel I expect my 3.5'x2.5' doorless shower to at least be put together with some sort of pride but instead all the tiles are crooked mismatched the drain is severely offset and looks very amateurish. Crown moulding it's too expensive so they used baseboards instead. The bed also extends to a foot from the end of the room. If you are young and limber this isn't a problem but I can see it being a big problem for others. The rooms are clean, the Wi-Fi is fast and the tv is large and up to date and the staff are friendly. Oh also annoyed about the fire alarm that was going off late last night.

The location of the hotel was a key in my choice of staying here. The price was a bit high but for the area and the surrounding hotels it was decent. The parking is a bit high ($43ish for valet) however there's a parking garage about a block and a half away that is $31 for 24 hours. The trade off is the valet is in and out, where as the parking garage is not.

There is 2 bottles of water in the room, however they are $2.50 each despite not having a price on them. We stayed in the petite room (I believe it was called). The bed was big enough for the 2 of us and the room wasn't too bad. The issue was the shower. It was a very VERY small shower. You couldn't stand in the shower without the curtain being firmed pressed against the side of you. Ended up having to shower without the curtain and getting water on the rest of the bathroom floor. I'm not claustrophobic but with the curtain drawn across even I was quite uncomfortable.

The Wifi in the room isn't free, however they do have a nice business center in the lobby which is. There about 6 or so computers which is fantastic and they have a printer which you can use for free as well there.

The room was clean and everything else was good.

I will say this place is trying, all staff were super nice. We booked online which they didn't seem to accommodate that. They charged $48 for parking which is a lot and they charged $15 'service fee' for 'use of the building ', so our $113 we paid online was +$48+$15=$176 +$200 hold. It's all good for us but then we got to our room.....

If you get off the elevator and you head down to your room and the hall way is yellow and old, turn around and notice the gleaming white, new hallway behind you. Get back on the elevator, back to the front desk and tell them you are not happy with your disgusting room! Our first room was old and not renovated, worst of all it was NOT clean. Our second room was a renovated king. It was fine but not very big.

This hotel has good potential but it's going to have a hard time keeping up with some of the other hotels in Boston. This is a huge hotel and they could have made the rooms bigger and better. The lobby is awkward and where you valet is far from the front desk and not where you normally walk in. No did offer to help us with our bags, just take our $48 for valet, most overnight parking garages are $35 in the city. Ultimately if you don't have to stay in the theater district I wouldn't.

Don't normally do these but I walked in a dirty room with an unflushed toilet. (Gross!!) The smallest room I have ever stayed in with no basic amenities that you could even find in the cheapest hotel.

Our room was on the 11th floor. It was by Legal Seafood and a park was nearby. Very nice to walk through. The service inside was convenient. They quickly took care of all of our needs and also held on to our bags once we checked out, but still wanted to walk through the city. There was no provided parking, so we had to park at a recommended garage nearby for the weekend. The room was also nice with comfy beds and a good bathroom.

We stayed here for four nights in June 2017. Service throughout the hotel was very professional and quick. Our 2 queen room was comfortable but the bathroom was tiny.

We didn't eat onsite at the hotel as there were many food options nearby. The hotel is also located within half a block of the Boston Public garden and nearby Boston commons park.

I was on holidays in Boston and I spent a couple of night in this hotel. Good spot to visit Boston but it definitely doesn t worth the price they ask. My room was definitely too much small for two adults we didn t have the physical space to move around the bed (literally few inches left between the edge of the bed and the wall), the safe box was not working because the battery was down (when we asked to the staff of the hotel to have it fixed they told us that we should ve wait for an indefinite time someone for the security...am I on holiday or am I working in the hotel? ). Last but not least rooms do not offer any kind of privacy because walls are too much thin. I would not recommend this hotel, pictures on internet are catchy but they are not a fair representation of how rooms really are.

I've had better service from motels! Every time I had to go to the service desk of which there are 3, only 1 usually had a person or two so there was always a line. I was expecting a package, so when I saw a blinking light on the phone signifying that I had messages I tried to check them with the instructions given to me at the front desk but it didn't work. So I had to go wait in line for the concierge, which is an experience akin to waiting for the wonderful wizard of Oz to come from behind the curtain! After appearing and asking what I needed I said I was looking for a package and gave my name. The response: no package, nothing in the system, nothing in the back. Next day, early morning, before deliveries, I try again, again waiting on the Wizard, only to be told again nothing in the system, but this time the concierge looks at the names on the packages and miraculously it has appeared!

Additionally the bellhops were pushy. I thought how nice when I arrived and they unloaded my luggage onto a cart. Not really. Once on the cart and wheeled inside the bellhops would say no no I'll push the cart as they stop people from pushing their cart's. I say no I'm fine I can push the cart at which point the bellhop continues to try to convince me that it's a terrible inconvenience for me to take the cart with the bags on it up because then I'd have to bring it down... the hotel has a bank of six fairly fast elevators (so far the only redeeming quality) and it couldn't be simpler to go up and come back (which would have been quicker than waiting to have my luggage brought up) but I didn't know that at the time so I say ok since he made it sound like a huge pain. 10 minutes later my luggage arrived.

If that weren't enough the air conditioning in the room wouldn't work, one set of outlets didn't work, and one of the table lamps had an exposed and wire that was causing an electrical short. This last for me was the most concerning as I called to let the front desk know: a. So I could get a new lamp and b. Because I don't want to die in a raging inferno and thought they would like to know about the fire hazard. They'll send up an engineer... the next day when I go back to the desk, wait in line, and remind them that we still have this problem. When the air conditioning wasn't working I just skipped the phone (noone answers half the time anyway) and waited in line. They'll have someone up in 15 minutes. As I write this it's been an hour, and there is no hope in sight.

Avoid this hotel at all costs! Literally the only thing it had going for it is that it's "historic", though there's no clear explanation why, and definitely no standard of service that entails.

Service was incredibly rude the entire time, including managers. A manager conned us into getting a second room and then claimed we couldn't get a refund for the unused room because it had "rolled over" --conveniently, they never mentioned it when selling it on us. Not one person was helpful at all during the entire stay. When leaving, I recall thinking the only people who treated us like we were anything but annoyances to them was the CLEANING CREW.

Several times over the night, a loud fire alarm went off in the building and woke me up. The staff actually refused to admit this happened, even though it did repeatedly between 4 and 7 AM.

Quality wise, it's basically an overpriced Motel 8. A tiny room with very low quality and very minimal amenities. If you don't want to figure out parking in downtown Boston yourself (about $35/day where I found parking), you're looking at about a $50/day charge. Low quality internet will run you $15/day. The walls are thin between rooms, and the bathroom is very small. There isn't even art on the walls. You basically get a reasonably comfortable bed and a tiny TV with bunny ears, for the price of an upscale hotel.

I filed complaints at the front desk for the managers, which were not responded like promised. I would be surprised if the staff didn't just throw them out as soon as I had walked away -- that's how well they treat you.

You're probably thinking "hey it's in a convenient spot, I can hack it!" -- I urge you not to. Go anywhere else.

Nice hotel, always very busy. I have had a couple work events here and stayed here once. The facilities are nice and so are the rooms. When I stayed my one complaint was noise from drunk wedding guests in a courtyard outside, but I only stayed for one night. The hotel is conveniently located and well staffed.

I really enjoyed my stay here. All of my encounters with the hotel staff were wonderful and everyone was quite friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and the hotel bar was nice. Breakfast buffet was good but quite pricey as were the drinks at the bar. This and the fact that the wifi isn't free are my only reasons for deducting a star.

Very small and dated.
Bathroom was poorly laid out to the point the shower curtain touched the toilet.
The shower curtain also wrapped around your body while attempting to shower, and I doubt those are cleaned after each stay.
Charged $25 for Chromecast TV and couldnt't even watch a movie.
Very disappointing for the $600+ we had to pay for a night during an event.
