I stayed here for only 1 night. The hotel is very nice and the service and people are good. I did wake up in the morning with bites on my legs from something. When I pointed this out to the staff they didn t seem surprised that I was saying this. For this reason I can t really recommend this place. It s very disappointing considering I am a loyal member of the Marriott rewards program and a loyal customer. I still have marks on my legs from these bites to this day.

Awesome experience at a luxury hotel!! This is the place to go. Easy walking around Nice and restaurants within easy distance. Construction going on right now, but that only means it will be better in the future!!

Hotel particular and very well managed, especially the packages, which make online booking easy and fast, especially if one wants to have everything booked before leaving, personally I go to many facilities for all occasions, and personally I was satisfied with the 100% of the treatment and of the price / quality ratio, considering the high level we are talking about.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Nice. Unfortunately, my experience was soured due to several oversights that frustrated me as a patron. First, my girlfriend and I had booked two sunbeds for the early afternoon on the rooftop pool and they gave one of the sunbeds away to another patron without checking whether they had booked it or not. What really bothered me was that the attendant at the patio did not rectify the situation, but rather unapologetically said "you can take it or leave it". Totally unacceptable response. After speaking with the concierge, they apologized profusely and said "Lete speak with the day manager to see what we can do for you". Nothing was done during our stay, no note from the manager, or any additional communication. On checkout day, we had breakfast in the restaurant. My dish came out cold and undercooked. This five-star hotel acted like a two-star. Would not recommend as part of the Marriott's Autograph Collection portfolio.

Genuinely shocked this hotel has an average 4.2 rating. After we checked out we had to wait for our taxi about 10 mins - 3 other couples checked out in that time - all with significant and different complaints

THE GOOD

Lobby is striking and smart

Exterior likewise attractive

Location potentially good - from our perspective though, it was too far from Old Nice which is where you want to be for the best that Nice offers. Nonetheless it is right by the metro line straight to the airport (c30mins Jean medecin stop), about 10 min walk from the train station (for exploring Cannes, Antibes, Monaco etc), c15mins from the marina & Old Nice

This was our first trip to Nice and we had some great food (hadn t really known Nice as a foodie scene, but great food at Jan, Oliveira, L Uzine, Le Panier and Citrus) - all 15 mins or so from Boscolo

Staff were polite; we complained finally after 6 nights (of 9 night stay!) and were kindly upgraded - sadly the upgraded room suffered many of the same issues- see below.

THE BAD

General: rooms are tired, basic amenities including WiFi not adequate, room key system poor - on both rooms we stayed in the key worked approx 1 in 15 attempts.

Beds: Fred Flintstone himself would have complained about the bed. I had a nap on the pebble beach one day; it was more comfortable. Pillow was (very) cheap, mattress had springs poking through and was EXTREMELY firm

Room: not keen on a glass shower in the middle of the room with limited privacy, but not the end of the world.

Service: some days room would be cleaned, some days there would be chocolates left, some days none of the above. In a 9 night stay I would expect sheets to be changed or at least to be asked if we would like them changed. We did move after 6 nights, so perhaps they would have been changed but not convinced

Bathroom: [check your privilege] I don t buy single ply toilet roll at home; I don t expect it in a 5 star hotel. Shower smells damp/ musty. Floors stained in shower and bathroom; bathroom sink also discoloured.

There is a gym / spa, though gym not great and not tidy - weights had tissues from previous users on them, scattered all over the place; too hot and low ceiling so I couldn t do overhead exercises. Machines probably older than me... spa pool we used was fine

Roof terrace - basically inaccessible - need to book one of the ?6 beds about a week in advance and I think c25eur each...!! Nowhere else really to sit or chill.

Other: our initial room was on the 5th (highest except roof terrace). The trigger for us requesting a room change was the thumping bass of the roof club until 1am on a Thursday (and to a lesser extent other nights thus far). Highly recommend against accepting a 5th floor room. I suspect the roof terrace is making Marriott less money (in covid times) than the rooms...

CONCLUSION

If the location is suitable for you I would recommend saving a ton of cash and going for one of the local 2-3*, which apart from smart lobby may actually be better. Otherwise head over to Old Nice

A dream holiday with my husband. The hotel is wonderful, the only one in Nice with 2 swimming pools. We took full advantage of the spa, well equipped with a sauna, a hammam, sensory showers and a very large pool, which we could use almost exclusively. Very good breakfast and attentive staff. A 5 stars in full rule. Well done!

I recently stayed at the Boscolo hotel Nice and had a very frustrating experience made all the worse by the hotels refusal to communicate after I left.

While at the Boscolo hotel I visited the spa. After leaving the spa, i attempted to return to my room except the door was broken. Over the course of 1.5 hours the hotel continued to send me upstairs to try different keys or methods of accessing my room. Unfortunately, none worked. I was stuck in the hotel lobby in my exercise clothing on a frigid night and missed my dinner reservation. Despite being promised compensation none was received or communicated.

nice welcome, spacious and very clean room. On the other hand, does not deserve its 5 stars, arriving at the rooftop and not being able to find a place to sit is just scandalous. a few deckchairs at the price of 15th a day, and often impossible to reserve.personnel very overwhelmed wait 45 min to serve a cocktail. The water in the pool is not very clean. Breakfast at the price of 35 per person is certainly not worthy of a hotel of this standard and especially the price. Frankly not great

We had a great stay at the Hotel Boscolo, the staff service is impeccable, the very refined room opens onto a small terrace, the spa is very pleasant (although a bit noisy). The location of the hotel is perfect since we can do everything on foot (shops, Place Massena, beach ...).

Edit: ***After my initial review we were given a DISCOUNTED RATE (still having to pay more) but then WAS ASKED TO REMOVE MY BAD REVIEW. This along with our room keys never seemed to work amongst other things brings me to give the lowest rating possible. For an establishment to INFLUENCE its own reviews is SHADY. Unfortunately for them I don't believe in such a practice. You want good reviews then EARN them. Any "high reviews" this hotel or even their entire company has received I'd take with a grain of salt. My family will NEVER bother with ANY of their locations in the future.***

Upon arrival we had an issue with checking-in. Zoltan, who was helping us told us there was a problem with our reservation. Basically our reservation of 2 adults and 1 child had only showed up as 2 guests only and we had the only option of taking a suite practically twice our original rate. After making it obvious that we didn't want to do that he told us to find our confirmation from Expedia regarding our booking. We were already very tired, extremely irritated, and hungry (around 11:00PM coming straight from the airport) but went ahead to comply with finding our confirmation info. After some great difficulty (Wi-Fi speed extremely slow) we were able to finally get the booking confirmation info after 30 mins and went back to Zoltan. After showing him that our confirmation was correct and he was obviously in the wrong he just said that the only option was still to take the suite that was again almost DOUBLE the original rate and we would just have to deal with Expedia on our own. Looking at my young tired child and my wife almost about to cry, it took a lot for me to hold back to jump over the counter and just going ape. Instead I asked for the manager and he replied with an arrogant smirk "that would be me." -Rude -Uncompromising -NOT ONCE OFFERED ANY ASSISTANCE other than "pay more or GTFO" I asked for the names of his supervisor and just paid for the suite. Zoltan - this so called "manager" gets a -5 rating that works in hospitality and should look for another job probably as a practice dummy for a proctologist (hell, he might be happier and find it even more "fulfilling". ONLY reason I have a 2 rating is because the room or "suite" as they call it is meh at best compared to all the other places we have been to - but Lorenzo, who was helping us to room, is a 5, a gem, a gold star. I'd expect someone of his calibre to be the manager of such an establishment. TLDR: (-5/5) A-HOLE LITTLE RUNT MANAGER, (2/5) EXPENSIVE MEH ROOM, (5/5) COMPLETELY AWESOME HELP

Very beautiful place, very elegant, very classy and well designed. Very expensive drinks which are not special. Could be much better if they actually cared about the menu. Service is average. You would expect more after paying such a high price. I guess some places are more about appearance than about value

Avoid at all costs! Booked our stay Aug 18-21. This place has a long way to be in the luxury 5 star category. First, upon our arrival to the suite, the sink was not draining - took the staff a copule of hours to fix and clean the mess, while we were trying to get ready. No full time concierge at the hotel.."decided to take Thursday off" As a result, when asked for a restaurant recommendation, we were booked to go to a tapas bar( which had only 3 items on the menu). When explained that tapas is not what we were looking for dinner, were given restaurant names with no explanation of dinner menus or cusines. Eventually just ended up walking streets near the hotel to look for a restaurant. On top of that, when we got back, the maid had left a dirty coffee cup along with another dirty dish on the table in our suite. The worst - construction outside the hotel starts at 630 am, and it is absolutely impossible to sleep even with ear plugs on. So, save yourself from all of the above by staying at a different hotel!

This review process is flawed. It would only post if I selected at least one star. This place is not worthy of a mention of any stars whatsoever. They re light years away from reaching a single star.

If you are still on this we site thinking you should still book it, Stop. Do not book this hotel. Your next best move is to immediately click on any hotel option, but this one.

Still reading? Here s what you need to know.

How this is a Mariott I ll never know. The only person at this hotel who has done their job properly is the marketing department. You will be100% be disappointed when you get there! The interior design is horrendous, room layouts are bizarre, beds are hard as the faux wood floor, pillows are like sleeping on a bag of rocks and housekeeping does the bare minimum. If you don t follow my advice and make the mistake of booking this hotel good luck trying to find it let alone speak to a Manager once your upset with the accommodations. They re always off property or unavailable . I m sure they re tired of getting an earful!

Lastly, if your ok with construction noise and chaos at your front door than you willl appreciate this place. The main boulevard out front is under construction and makes getting to the hotel an adventure in itself. However, had I not had this pleasure I would have maybe missed the lady urinating in the street as we pulled in.

You ve been warned!

My next move is to call Mariott and voice my displeasure to say the least.

Excellent hotel, gorgeous room, top class service . Too much noise due to work outside(windows should be soundproof), only small comment would be for the breakfast, too complicated to order, waiting for coffee then pastries then juice... a nice buffet is easier and often good ;-) but superb hotel

It is a hotel with a magnificent pool, an excellent massage parlor. Enjoy a view of the city from a balcony, the room had a very large bed, electronic lock, minibar, TV, all decorated in white, parking, room service, extensive menu, good breakfast ... That is. Get there early for breakfast.
It was an excellent night trip or honey moon.
We had arrived on February 13, 2020 at night.

Just to say I have enjoyed a perfect stay, in nice for MIPIM congress in Cannes, found this property because less expensive, centrally located in the city center near the train station and the shopping district. Helpful staff, good service, comfortable rooms, large size, they have a Spa with an indoor swimming pool.

Had stayed at the Budapest Boscolo hotel and assumed that the Boscolo Exedra Nice would be the same quality. WRONG!!!! The Budapest location is one of the most beautiful, luxurious hotels in the Marriott family. The Nice location is the worst hotel we have ever been in. We travel extensively Within the USA and worldwide so we have a massive basis with which to base this statement. The hotel had long dark hallways and one felt like walking down a one star hotel. The shower is located next to the bed with a curtain separating the small enclosed shower from the room. This was supposed to be "upgraded" - I would hate to see the normal room. The staff was not helpful and downright rude - not Marriott standard! They overcharged us which we had to address to get that corrected. As a Gold Marriott member, we enjoy "perks" whenever we stay at any of the various hotels. We were told that this location had concierge benefits but upon arrival we were told that was not correct. No concierge level club room, no appointed concierge person and certainly NO benefits. There was not even a complimentary bottle of water (requested and denied). This hotel does NOT merit a 4 1/2 star rating!!! Do not choose this location!!!!!

Lovely welcome and staff were all friendly and warm. Room was upgraded and super. However meal was dreadful in fish restaurant. The waiter spilt the champagne then kept spilling the wine. The food was not cooked so could not eat it so advised him and he said he would report it....nothing heard again. So refused pudding and coffee expecting a free glass perhaps....but heard nothing after complaint. Such a shame as restaurant was such an unwelcoming place and let down the lovely front line staff on desk and door. Several days they forgot to make our room up but this did not matter to us.

Delighted with my stay! Beautiful place and pleasant staff. The Spa is great.
Too bad the main restaurant was closed on Sunday, it looks very good. So we ate in the bar / restaurant, it was not very tasty and not very original. We will try the other restaurant next time! I recommend this hotel!

Anything we asked for was a 5-10 Euro up charge. We wanted to use a wine opener, that's 5 euros, we wanted something brought to our room, that's 5 euros, we wanted some ice, that's 5 euros. That is not normal for a FIVE star hotel. You don't nickel and dime guests. That's tacky! We stayed one night at your hotel even though we were in Nice for 4 days, the hotel was so beautiful we wanted to enjoy the experience but it wasn't good. We also wanted to take the wine we purchased in Provence outside to smoke and the staff told us we couldn't do that. After we left, the only thing that should've been charge is one night stay. You guys held a told of $850 USD on my credit card. I called my credit card company and they said you guys would have to release the hold, I spoke to a Supervisor Wednesday August 9, 2017 at around 7:30pm and she said she would call the credit card company to release the hold immediately, she didn't know if it would go through because accounting was closed. She told me that if it didn't she would have Sonya who was the Supervisor on Thursday August 10, 2017 call to have the hold released at 8:30am. She told me she would email or call me to confirm it was done. I never heard anything. I followed up and nobody ever got back to me. I only have one credit card to use to travel so your hotel holding an additional $500 USD after I checked out was a big inconvenience. It wasn't necessary either because the final charge had already went through. Will be reviewing the hotel online so people know how a 5 star hotel in Nice treats their US guests.

When we arrived at the hotel in Nice, taking out t...

When we arrived at the hotel in Nice, taking out the suitcases the valet on duty touched the car, causing several tears on the paint of our new vehicle.
The management of this situation by the person in charge of your site is in our eyes INADMISSIBLE!

The facts were immediately denied, no conversation was initiated to try to understand the situation. We were immediately told that this was impossible even though the place of the snag was only accessible by suitcases.
Our vehicle is new and was in perfect condition when we arrived. Despite our honesty and calm approach to discussing the situation, we were seen as liars.
A few minutes after the incident, the valet also came to us privately to tell us that "thanks to our remark he was going to lose his job" in a rather aggressive tone.
The next day we were informed that the manager had found a niche for us in a garage. The latter passed the message through the receptionists: we were offered to drop off our car in a small garage and have it painted again without an invoice. WITHOUT INVOICE and having 50% at our expense for a valet error ??? For a 5 star hotel once again the standard was very low.

We let the manager know through the receptionists that we wanted to find another solution because it did not suit us. Then radio silence on his side. No return from him, he avoided us. We then asked the receptionists to tell him to call us. This has not been done.
When after 2 days we finally managed to challenge him, he told us that we had refused his offer and that he would do nothing more, once again denying the responsibility of his hotel, and telling us that we did not we only had to use our insurance because he did not want to involve his own which would cost him 500 euros in excess. "
When the next day we came with a statement, the latter went back on his words the day before and refused to sign it. We explained to him that the vehicle was linked to our company and that the finding was necessary, but nothing to do about it.
Once again the tone employed by the latter was very haughty and was not appropriate, thus making us understand that no responsibility would be taken by the hotel even though the unloading area was filmed by several cameras at the entrance. of the hotel.

So we paid 245 euros for valet / parking over a week, our car was damaged and no responsibility was taken by Boscolo Hotel. This is unacceptable.

When we left, no action was taken on our bill. During a week of conflict, at no time did the manager apologize for the inconvenience.
We were accused of lying, ignored and offered a solution without invoice in a garage "at the port" .....

What happened ruined our vacation and we were unable to fully enjoy our stay. The handling of this incident and such behavior is by no means worthy of a 5 star hotel. We are far from the adage "the customer is king" ...

Apart from this unfortunate incident the rooms are nice, the room service very proactive and the receptionists very friendly.

Unfortunately the unsympathetic and haughty behavior of the manager is the memory that we will keep of this stay.

Beautiful from floor to ceiling!
The entrance is sublime, the large suite with a huge bathtub full of pink when I arrived, my wife was delighted.
And then the spa at -1 the exedra is great
The masseuses are really very professional.
Just a pity that we can't drink champagne in the spa as a precaution. Otherwise everything was perfect, thank you again

The hotel was very nice and the staff very friendly. Rooms were better than I was expecting. My main reason for this review is the B Club terrace restaurant. The people attending and serving you are fantastic. The food is excellent and you can watch it being prepared on the wood stove fire ring. Drinks were great. Try the local Rose. Outstanding. Kudos to the staff at B Club.

Location Nice nice center; Beautiful outdoor architecture and atypical interior decoration.
Comfort very correct, but beware on week with the work of the Tram.
Transat swimming pool too expensive, but commercial manager.
Spa quite complete, but some equipment partially down; Rest rooms are not "relaxing because noisy", in the passage or at the edge of the indoor pool in which the pressurized jets run continuously.
Quality breakfasts, but the service is not total buffet; the service of the hot plate is not friendly, although professional, and the buffet is little varied.
