This was a good place to practice lessons from ballroom dancing class ... salsa, merengue, line dancing & more it was the 'gathering place to practice dance' for College students.....feel so, so sad for what happened a year ago definitely this world needs a change .....

This place has gone way way way way downhill. The bathrooms are out of toilet paper by 10 pm, the bathroom doors are all broken and the last time I was there , 2 puddles of vomit were never cleaned up in the bathroom so if you had to use a toliet, you had to straddle the vomit. The carpet smells like mold and on wednesday nights there are so many people on the dance floor you can't even move but you can get shoved and pushed into by sweaty drunk people. This used to be a place for great line dancing, now the people that go don't even know how to line dance - its become a dirty neglected bar.

The food was okay but the BBQ sauce was delicious. I enjoyed the different drinks. I feel like it needs to be a bit more exciting for the young crowd like have some Vegas style dancers to get people on the dance floor who tend to be shy.

Apparently this popular line dancing/ two step mecca was once at the Borderline of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties in Malibu. It's a friendly place, so here a Borderline personality is a good thing. The later it gets the more the college crowd crowds in. Food is great and inexpensive; traditional drinks are priced well. There are also pool tables for another type of recreation. Lessons in line dances are offered the start of some evenings. Check the website for a monthly calendar.

Visited this place for the Adam Carrolla live Podcast place was OK I enjoyed the show but the staff was very bored and not attentive. Kitchen closed at 10pm I made line like 15 minutes before that only to be told that kitchen was closed. Won't blame the place for the staff but they can at least serve you with a smile. Would not visit again unless there's is another event.

Great western-inspired bar with live music and a sizeable dance floor. They may charge a cover on weekends, and don't expect to get a beer for less than $5, even if it's just a Coors Light.

I WAS AGGRESSIVELY, KICKED (SHOVED) OUT OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT, AND WAS NOT GIVEN ANY REASON WHY!!! This was my first time coming to Borderline. Everyone was line dancing to every song, even the pop/ hip hop songs they played had a line dance to go with it. I stayed on the outskirts of the dance floor, and attempted to learn one of the line dances. After just 1 song, I decided to get off the dance floor and get a drink. Before I made it to the bar, a bouncer aggressively got in my face and told me I had to leave! I was shocked, I didn't do anything wrong. I asked the bouncer, "Why, what did I do?" That's when he puffed out his chest, and physically started pushing me. Once we got out the front door, I turned to the bouncer and calmly asked again, "why are you kicking me out, what did I do wrong?" Again, he would not answer me. He told me to get off the property or he'd call the police. I had only been in the establishment for 15 minutes or so, I had only 1 drink, and I danced to 1 song. I can't believe what they did to me. It was wrong on so many levels. After reading some of the other reviews here, it sems like this kind of thing happens pretty often. That's why they only have 2.5 stars. I have never been kicked out of a bar in my life, and I still have no idea why I was kicked out of this one. I wish I would have thought to grab my cell phone camera to record what had happened. THIS PLACE WRONGED ME ON SO MANY LEVELS, AND ALL I CAN DO IS GIVE THEM AN HONEST REVIEW. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

They have a good thing going with School of Rock. Last night's performances was made possible by this wonderful venue. Hope more good things come of it. Food was good too. Enjoyed my BLT.

This place rules. Excellent food, good vibe, lots of room and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. They're already dominating out in Thousand Oaks so it's good to have them here now. The mac and cheese was great as was the fried chicken bucket. Good selection of beers as well. One of the bartenders is English so everything he says sounds wonderful. Check it!

My friends all love coming here on the weekends. Unfortunately my sister was there the night everything happened and it made the place a little scary for us but as of late we've been coming back around and I could be happier we did. This place has been a staple in our community for quite some time. I'm glad I've manned up and gone back.

Amazing country bar with large dance floor. Did not eat here, but drinks were well priced and staff was very friendly. Pool tables. But people come here to dance.

Last night we had our daughter's Sweet 16 Birthday Party at Borderline. It was absolutely wonderful!! Our daughter and her friends didn't stop dancing - and when they did, it was only to eat or play pool! Noel was awesome, making all the arrangements and being the DJ. Mark could not do enough for us regarding the food and our ice cream bar!! We left Borderline very, very happy!! Thank you, thank you!! Our girl will have the happiest of memories!

I am concerned about my safety and friends safety at this place. First they openly serve minors alcohol. I have managed bars and was amazed to see this. Second the bathroom had human feces on the ground. I went back later and not cleaned up. That is a major health code violation. Next they allow too many people in causing fire safety issues. The manager is clearly only concerned about getting as many cover charges as possible. Don't go there. Take your money somewhere where your safety is cared about.

I love boarderline so much for the line dancing. I don't even go for the alcohol because I don't drink, I go because my friends and I can have a fun time together. They can still drink and I am not just sitting there all miserable. It's definitely worth visiting. Also I went for my birthday in October and it was one of the best birthdays I've ever had, I literally two-stepped my way into my 22nd birthday. And you don't have to be good at the dances, there are always regulars who are willing to help you learn the dances. Just be willing to get out there and actually dance.

Atmosphere is awesome. Staff is courteous. Entertainment... Good headliners. Was here for Drake White. The band was spot on. Young girls love him. Sound was loud and distorted unless you were in the back where you had no visual. House was packed and air conditioning did NOTHING. Proven theory, patrons will stay longer, shop longer, drink more if temperature is cool. I give 4 stars. I hope they improve sound and air temperature. P.S. They have a couple of pool tables. Can we have darts please.... Crumpets and Tea?

There is no re-entry. It was my first time and that wasn't clear. I wanted to go to my car and get my jacket, but was told I would have to pay another $5. I understand why they have that rule, just wish it was made clearer or that I could have had a set time like 3 minutes to go grab my jacket and after that would have to pay... The atmosphere was great and there was a range of music. No free style time though, so be ready to embarrass yourself trying to pick up a line dance. It's fun!

Larger than expected. The lines were very long on a Wednesday night but apparently it was also 18+ with a $7 cover. The beer was like $18 a pitcher so no complaints. The energy was pretty upbeat and all good vibes around us.

I went one night to dance. I played my entrance fee at the door and they change they gave me was fake money. I tried using the cash from there the next day to buy food and the restaurant wouldn't take it because it was a forged bill. I tried to call Borderline to fix this issue and they have ignored all of my calls and messages. Very shady and shows they have no concern for their customer.

What's a better place to dance with friends?! My friends and I LOVE Borderline! Bell is the best bar tender. (Can't remember the other s names, sorry!) The other two are amazing also. Feel like we have been friends for ever!! The song choices are epic and the staff is always friendly!! Can't wait to go again soon!! Especially on Wednesdays!

Except for the fact that they always kick my buddy Cal Santos out, I kind of dig this place. Chances, the bar before The Page was the same - neighborhoody, friendly, central, basic, spacious, never-too-crowded mid-town bar. Nothing fancy but thats a given. Other than the arrogant bar staff, its a decent neighborhood haunt.

Enjoyable, good music, and friendly folks. Drinks are pricey. I struggle with the entire evening being so structured They call out the dance that is for each song and everyone does the same thing. Its just a little strange...but I'm here from Colorado and things are much more relaxed in Colorado.
