While I am not currently working with Boly:Welch, I have been able to attend a couple of their FREE 101 Workshops which were totally helpful! ABBY and CORBIN did a great job in creating a really informative, yet relaxed atmosphere where it was comfortable to freely ask questions or even have a bit of "one on one" time toward the end of the class. I recommend it to anyone currently looking for a job, or even considering a career change. Did I mention it was free ;-)

Working with Elaine is FANTASTIC!!! I have known Elaine for a number of years and can't say enough about her! I think she really tries to understand what position seekers and employers are looking for (longevity or resume boosting experience, for example) so she can recommend positions that really fit for everyone. I trust her opinion and think she is really doing more than just "placing". I can't think of anyone I would rather work with!

Boly Welch is hands down the best recruiting agency that I've ever worked with. I worked with Heather Gordon, Debbie Zurrow and also Andrew Welch. Each of them were supremely professional, yet personable and I felt like they truly had an understanding of what I was looking for in my career.

They were always available to have a heart to heart chat, and were thoroughly supportive, without pushing me in any one direction. I felt that they really had my best interests in mind.

I highly recommend anyone to work with Boly Welch if you're looking for a team of professionals who will treat you with care and respect.

I had the pleasure of working with Boly:Welch and Sally Williams and am thrilled with the position and company she matched me with. She made the whole process easy and stress free, she really took the time to understand my experience and career goals. Sally is exceptional at what she does for employers and job seekers, I can't recommend her enough!

I started attending a free of the monthly free learning sessions - now avail by zoom, with focus on topics like resume building and how to use linked in effectively. They hosts at boly welch are truly dedicated to building community - knowing their services can't serve their demand they offer these classes. Corbin was so helpful and reviewed my resume - all the stars and scores to boly welch and its staff!

Rosemary Schwimmer is the best! She took the time to listen to my objectives and then pair me a job that checked all my boxes. She was also invaluable during salary and benefit negotiations. I highly recommend Rosemary and the rest of the Boly:Welch team.

I have to agree that this is the best recruiting agency that I've ever worked with. It took some time, but Boly Welch found the most wonderful position for me, and I'm confident that it is a perfect match! I would never have found this position without them.

Heather Gordon was a great joy to work with and was always there for me during even the most stressful and disappointing situations. Finding a job these days is just very challenging and it really pays to have somebody in your corner. It is especially helpful to have someone who understands your unique contributions and can find a position that matches well.

Boly Welch has the connections and the expertise to find something that is a perfect match for you and the employer. This saves you so much time, energy and missteps that you might make on your own.

I highly recommend them!

Brittney of the legal placement division was very helpful in my job search. While I ultimately found a position independently in a different sector, she was extremely attentive, gave great advice, and presented several opportunities which led to multiple interviews. If I were to search for a new position in this field I would certainly engage Brittney again.

Brittney was fantastic to work with. She helped me for as long it took to find me the position that I loved and fulfilled all the career goals that I was seeking. Her attitude and attentiveness throughout the whole process was encouraging, enthusiastic, and highly personalized! I don't have enough lovely things to say about her and highly recommend working with her if you're even considering finding a new job!

Best recruiting firm out there; no doubt about it! Very professional and friendly. They make you feel comfortable and truly work with your strengths as a candidate. Senior recruiter Brittney is definitely the best! :D

Heather, with Boly Welch, is absolutely amazing! She is the best recruiter I have worked with by far. She was able to quickly schedule me interviews for positions that were exactly the kind of jobs I had been looking for. After a couple of interviews, I was hired at a great firm and I love my new job! I am extremely grateful that I found Heather. She is exceptional at what she does!!

Brittney Rerecich at Boly:Welch helped me find my dream job in Portland, Oregon! She is professional, knowledgeable, and was very helpful from making a strong initial impression to signing an offer letter. The friendly staff at Boly:Welch were honest and went above and beyond to answer any questions and assist with the job search process. I would highly recommend Boly:Welch for future job seekers.

Gwen Rudolph nailed it! She helped me to understand what the right fit would be for me in ways that I would not have been able to conceptualize as clearly on my own, or at least not in under an hour. I think a lesser professional may push for short term placement over long term success. It impressed me that Gwen was patient and focused on the relationship even more than the job openings. I would not have fully realized my goal without her and her professional team. Top notch.

My recruiter was Sally Williams, and she was always responsive and involved in finding me the best fit. The idea is to find the perfect fit for you based on your wants and needs in a career and Boly:Welch did an amazing job orchestrating that for me.

I found endless support, feedback, and communication with Sally. I'll happily circle back to her in the event I need a new direction.

I highly recommend this for any administrative professional who needs a new job. Boly:Welch is a highly reputable name, having them in your corner will do wonders during your highering process.

Boly:Welch has placed me in three different positions over 15 years. I've found them to be very professional, candid and responsive. Most recently I worked with Carie Strahorn and Andrew Beeks and recommend them unequivocally.

i applied for a clerical position in January. Took them until beginning of March to send me the testing material. I pretty much had to demand to be considered. It took me 6 hours to fill out all forms and testing. I waited as per what the website said. I called & was told by HR that i wasn't office material because i am too creative. Too creative. I successfully ran my own out-the-home business for the last 6 years. I wasn't even given an interview. HR changed their mind mid-sentence to schedule with me. I had to take an extended break from being a creative, because the doctors don't want me to lose my bicep tendon. All of this i stated to Boly Welch HR as to why i was looking for a stable clerical job. They didn't even care. The location & staff looked like a blend between too-good-for-you-hipsters and Trendy3rd smashed together. Their decor was mathematical & the rugs look viral/bacterial. Seriously, enlarged imprints of what one would find under a microscope. I tried to look past the creeping feeling of, I was in the wrong place. I believe it takes all types to make a world work. I know, I can blend in & work together anywhere, just look at my resume. But obviously, NOT at Boly Welch. So if you are by chance a rising hipster with at least 2 years in a cubical, not home-business related, or fit the stereotype of suburban secretary, then this place is for you. OH. and they don't accept physical paper copies of anything.

So far, so good! I am a recently graduated Business major, who took the summer off to travel and is moving out of the country in December. I submitted my resume to them, was called in a few days, scheduled an interview, and met with my recruiter all within a week. Julia is fantastic! She knew I was only looking for a way to make money for the next 3 months and save for my trip, and not an hour after I left the interview, she emailed me with an office job that started 2 days from the day of my interview. I worked that week, told her I wanted another job for the next week, and voila! Another job for the next week.

I haven't used their direct hire or tried to get anything other than office work, but my experience has been smooth and professional.

The professionalism and attention I received from Boly Welch was unprecedented. I was paired with Brittney Rerecich and she was amazing. Truly a wonderful person, but also truly amazing at her job. I had been laid off for months and had been trying to find another job when I reached out to her. I was so disheartened by the job-seeking experience but Brittney changed all of that. She set me up on multiple interviews and urged me to only take the job that was perfect for me. She really did not pressure me to take any job, and made it clear that her goal was that I found something that I would be happy in and be successful doing. She ended up pairing me with the perfect company - that I now work for and love - and got me the best salary and benefits package. In the end, I found a better job than I had before Covid with a better salary. I can't say enough about what a great experience it was working with Brittney. She was 100% on my team and it showed. We talked almost every day during the process. She is great at pep talks and great at finding your unique skills that would make you a perfect candidate for employment. She was wonderful! I will definitely use Boly Welch if I'm ever looking for work in the future, and I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking work.

Edit: I have raised the review from one star to 3 because Mrs. Welch herself reached out to me to discuss the situation. She was polite and professional and wanted to work with me to address any irregularities regarding her office staff acting outside office company policy. The conversation was amicable which surprised me given the gravity of the experience being discussed. I truly hope our discussion helps eliminate any further inappropriate conduct. Even though she did not request it, I felt it necessary to express my satisfaction online by altering my review.

................................................................................................................

Was told flat-out last year I would not be considered for a position because their client only wanted to hire women for an executive assistant position. When I told them that was illegal, they responded flatly with "yes it is." I considered contacting Oregon BOLI, but after reviewing the state claims process, I concluded that I lacked the "preponderance of evidence" for my case to be processed.

It is a hell of thing to read on their website that they are so progressive as an organization..........but only if their bottom line benefits I suppose.

I waited so long to write this review because I feared some kind of legal reprisal from them. Yet, if we all were that way, discrimination would be even more regular than it is.

I worked with Roxanne on and off for several months during my job hunt, and finally just signed a great offer at a company she connected me with. As someone trying to break into a new field, there weren't always opportunities available for me, but she was very persistent in looking and really helped me refine my professional story. Overall Roxanne and the rest of the Boly Welch team are very dedicated, professional, and pleasant to work with.

I worked with Brittney and she went above and beyond for me when I was ready to make a career move. She spent the time getting to know me, my personality, goals and preferences so she would find opportunities that would be the best fit for me and the employer. She has been placing for many of the same firms for many years and could give me honest feedback she's received from other applicants who she has placed at these firms. The level of detail she could provide me about the opportunities was invaluable because it gave me a better impression of the firm and its employees before I even walked in the door. She would touch base with me for pre-interview pep talks and call me after interviews to discuss my thoughts on how it went and also provide me with feedback she received from the firm which was so very helpful. She was positive, encouraging and supportive through the entire journey and I would highly recommend her and Boly Welch to anyone interested in looking for a new job!

I am an attorney and have approximately 4.5 years of practice experience. I really appreciate the support Rosemary provided in my own job search. I started working with her in November, and since that time, she has provided me with advice on my materials (e.g., resume), and provided me with a better understanding of what various Portland law firms are like. Most importantly, she's been a great advocate for me and a source of encouragement during my job search, which is always a stressful thing to go through. I 100% recommend working with Rosemary if you're an attorney who is considering making a move.

I was new to working with recruiter and at that point was pretty certain I will never find my dream job. I am so lucky I got Natalie on my side. I actually contacted someone else in Boly Welch first, with zero luck. Natalie has been so easy to work with. Always quick to respond, professional and reassuring that I can do it. She knew what I needed and guided me through the application process.

Brittney Rerecich is amazing and professional. She has placed me twice in the last 3.5 years, with wonderful firms and I've always felt that she has rooted and cheered me on. Her assistant Kati is also fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for work in the legal field, in fact I already have!

I have worked with Boly Welch twice now, and both times Elaine McManus has been a true pleasure to work with. She has a great knack for understanding just what you're looking for, what is important to you and sets realistic expectations. Her professionalism and personality are outstanding and I would go to her first if ever the need arose.

Usually I am too busy to write reviews for businesses, but I will reserve this for exceptional experiences. As a professional in both the legal and marketing fields, I have worked with a variety of placement firms. This was by far the best experience in my career, which includes Portland and Chicago markets. Gwen Rudolph is a rockstar. She was detailed with her interview and immediately recognized my strengths and weaknesses. During the whole process, she stayed in constant contact and found possible positions within a week. I was beyond impressed by her diligence and professionalism. I interviewed with an amazing firm and was offered a position right away. I can't recommend Gwen enough. After contacting other agencies in the Portland area, my expectations were very low. Gwen and Boly Welch far exceeded those expectations and I can't thank them enough. Don't waste your time with other agencies, Boly Welch is the best by far.

Ryan and the Boly:Welch team were welcoming from the start and provided me the support I needed to land an amazing full time career opportunity at Nike. Along the way Ryan was always quick to respond to any emails and questions. I would recommend Ryan and Boly:Welch time and time again to professionals looking for great opportunities in premier Portland companies such as Nike.

Boly:Welch is exemplary as a whole and I highly recommend them. I had the pleasure of working with Sally and I had a fantastic experience. Put simply, she had the perfect mix of care for mutual party fit and client support. In addition to this, she further demonstrated her professionalism through her consistent and timely follow up.

I recently moved to the Portland, OR after spending my entire life and career on the east coast. The change was exciting, but I also moved out with here without a job. After several job interviews I decided to try a local employment agency, and I ended up taking a meeting with Brittney Rerecich at Boly Welch.

I can easily say that my experience with Boly Welch, and with Brittney in particular, was excellent. I was in constant contact with Brittney, primarily as pertained to opportunities that arose, but also in the form of general e-mails and phone calls, which ensured that I wasn t forgotten and that leads were being followed and researched.

I appreciated the honest and open nature of the discussions I had with Brittney and a great deal of emphasis was made on finding a position for me that was the best fit, and not just the first or most lucrative offer that came along.

Brittney identified a great firm with whom she was familiar with, and thought I would be a good fit. It turned out she was quite right, and I m very happy to have had the opportunity to work with Brittney throughout this hiring process. I would highly recommend her as a recruiter and as an all around great person to interact with as one goes through the often-tumultuous time of finding a new job.

I had a great experience with Boly Welch. I worked with Brittany, and she did a great job finding me a position I liked. The first position I ended up with was the wrong fit for me, but she worked extra hard to find me something better, and I was only out of work for a week. I would highly recommend Boly Welch for any job seekers out there.

I am so frustrated. I go in for an interview, which didn't go too well, but it wasn't really eve structured like an interview. I felt like it was more of a gut my resume and them telling me everything I am doing wrong. I understand the need to critique people. but there are proper ways of doing and not on their first interview. Then I am told that I am ONLY qualified for a paralegal position. After nothing for 3 weeks, I write to my recruiter and ask her to help me apply for some awesome Admin positions and all she tells me is that she wants me to hang in there. That was 4 weeks ago. No emails, no calls and no interviews. She refuses to work with me to help me apply for positions I am perfectly qualified for. Won't ever use them again. Total waste of time and energy.

I am in a position to hire employees and I had worked for Boly:Welch when I first moved to Portland 25 years ago, so I was familiar with the company. I have used other placement firms over the years but have found Sally Williams at Boly:Welch to be a top-notch recruiter. Sally listens very well to the skill set that is being sought and does her best to fill that role. She collaborates with other recruiters in her firm and only presents the best candidates. She has placed three excellent employees with our company in the past several years, all of whom are strong workers in their field and have been able to hit the ground running. I highly recommend Sally Williams and Boly:Welch to any employer or employee!

I am very thankful for Boly Welch! I am especially grateful to: Heather Gordon, Abby Pfeiffer, Moira Farnsworth, and Hannah Bergerson. Their assistance and professionalism were amazing! Boly Welch gave me pointers on my resume. They linked me with an opportunity that was a great fit with my skills, experience and passion. Bonus: I was hired on as a permanent, full-time employee!! So this ended up being a win-win for myself and Boly Welch! I highly recommend using Boly Welch for your employment needs!
Sincerely, -Julie Munger.

Rosemary Schwimmer is a legal recruiter at Boly Welch and is a total pro! She knows the ins and outs of the Portland legal community like no other and helped me personally land my current job. Not only is she amazingly talented at matchmaking candidates to jobs she is also an awesome mentor! She has gone above and beyond expectations on multiple occasions with me by being there to listen and provide candid, thoughtful advice. If you are lucky enough to get to work with Rosemary, consider yourself in the best hands!

I had the pleasure of working with Rosemary Schwimmer and I could not be happier! From the moment we met to go over my resume, qualifications and ultimately my desires for work, she took the time to listen to me and work to find a good fit for me. Within a week I was placed in a great new job and throughout the process of getting there, Rosemary contacted me to prepare me and listen to my concerns. My only regret is that I did not contact Boly:Welch sooner. If you have the fortune of setting up a meeting with Rosemary, just know you are in good hands.

I had an amazing experience with Brittney. She was responsive, very excited in the interview, and checked up on me regularly. She was very positive about me and my skills and helped me revise my resume. I am so very thankful for the opportunity to work with Boly:Welch. I was interviewed and had a job offer within three days. I know that is not the norm, but the fact that Boly:Welch pulled it off should tell you all you need to know. They are quality people with quality connections. I can not recommend them highly enough.

My experience with Boly Welch was a good one. It did take several months to get placed (submitted my resume in March or April, was called to interview with a company in September), but I was placed with THE perfect company! Applicants seem to forget that it takes experience, positive attitude, a great personality, and skill for someone to be a good fit in a position, and as an HR professional, I see hundreds of candidates who have great experience, but would not be a great personality fit with our company.
Too many job applicants rely on recruiters to place them into jobs so they don't have to put forth the effort themselves. They screen THOUSANDS of resumes. As an HR Manager at a company who has used Boly Welch for placements, I'm glad they screen and only place the best candidates.

If you are looking for a new position or career change and need help finding the best opportunity for you, I cannot recommend Sally Williams enough. She really listened to my motivating factors for leaving my previous job and found me a new position that I LOVE. Her frequent check-in's and continuous drive to find me something that would be a good fit is in my opinion, what makes her stand out. I recommend her to all my friends/family who are in need of a new opportunity, whether they are just graduating college or have been settled in a career for years. Highly recommend!

When I first even THOUGHT about moving to Portland...

When I first even THOUGHT about moving to Portland, I called Boly-Welch on the recommendation from a friend and Brittney Rerecich made the time to meet me. I didn t even live in the state yet, wasn t sure when and if I would be and she sat with me for as long as I needed to get my questions answered and to give me some advice and guidance. When I did get to Portland I called Brittany expecting her to get back to me in a few days or so. She got back to me immediately. She took the time to review my resume, offer suggestions, and got it out the door within a day or two. I had an interview lined up immediately and got a job with a great, small law firm. When I reached out about a year later to get a feeling for what else might be out there out of curiosity and financial aspirations she responded to me that same day. Once I had my resume to her, I again had interviews lined up within days, and accepted a position after only two interviews. This all within about two weeks of getting my resume to her. Brittany has always taken the time to answer questions, really listen to what I am looking for and deliver options based on that criteria, as well as offer really sound advice and insight. She is also extremely positive and makes you feel well-taken care of and assured of any decision you may be making related to your employment. You really feel that she is not interested in simply placing people. She wants to work with good people, create connections, and make sure people enjoy going to their job everyday. I cannot recommend her enough, as well as the Boly-Welch team.

I had been searching for a full-time legal assistant position for a few months when I decided to try Boly:Welch. Past recruiters had left me with mixed experiences so I was wary going into my first meeting in April. Brittney, a senior legal recruiter, very quickly put any doubts I had to rest. She was very engaged and thorough, asking questions in order to understand my background and showcase my best qualities to employers. Over the next month she lined up three promising interviews. Throughout the process Brittney provided reassuring encouragement and even helpful tips prior to the interviews. She also gathered my impressions after each one in case I had any concerns and to ensure that she was matching me with positions that I was truly interested in. The last interview she organized presented me with a temp-to-hire offer, with which I am currently very happy. This was by far the best recruiter experience I have had and I would highly recommend them to others. You rock, Brittney!

Sally Williams placed me at my current job. She was awesome - she knew the culture at my company and thought I would be a good fit for them and them for me. She was spot on! Since then she has placed another person at my company who is also a good fit and is doing a great job. Sally is also an absolutely delightful person!
