Boerhaave Medisch Centrum Review

Did a gynecomastia surgery here. Unfortunately, the doctor botched the surgery by removing to little tissue on the right chest and too much on the left chest causing an crater deformity leaving me with one side poking out and one side indented..

Went back to the clinic to explain why I was unhappy with the result and the doctor was mesmerized by the way the surgery was performed on me and even apologised for it when leaving.

The higher management then send me an email that they were willing to fix it for 1500!! euros upon the already 3000 euros I paid for the surgery. An absolute slap in the face when you go here to get rid of one of your insecurities…

Very sad to see a place like this milk out its customers and not take ownership when something doesn’t go as intended.

Really bad experience with this clinic. The receptionist was really rude and my surgeon, Van Der Weij, was so arrogant and I didn't get the feeling he listened to me or my wishes. He did make unnecessary comments about other parts of my body which was really rude. The after care was pretty much non existence. When I had questions about if everything was healing right, or when I was scared the wounds were infected he just called me to tell me everything was fine, without seeing me.. That is really ridiculous because things can go wrong so easily. I wish I chose a different clinic and did more research beforehand. I am really not happy with how I was treated at this clinic.

A month ago undergone a breast reduction by Dr Jurgens. All appointments were on time, safe with regard to corona and clear information before and after the procedure. I am very happy with the result.

From the moment of appointment make a good feeling at this clinic. Surgeon (Dr. Enajat) was clear in what suited my body (breast augmentation) and took the time to answer my questions. Nurses and anesthetists all very sweet and patient, I was made very comfortable. The result is exactly as I envisioned. The clinic is also easy to reach if you have any questions.

Satisfied with my surgery, only the scars ... not quite beautiful, but everything went well.

Very nice experience at this clinic. Very friendly staff and doctor. Healing took a little longer but I am very happy with the result!

Very satisfied with Dr. Schuringa and the nurses. The operation, the customer-friendliness and the sympathy of both Dr. Schuringa and the nurses were very nice and good! Results seen so far are more than I expected and I see the treatment as a solution for women with lipedema. Pain is gone and self-image is better.

Last year September 2018 I had a neck / facelift plus an eyelid correction helped by dr.ter weij unfortunately my experience is not so good for sure my eyes are not on control nicely helped by dr.Snel could also come back if there was something of dr Terry but I would certainly no longer let my eyes come despite there is a bump and on the other eye a pimple that I never had. Unfortunately there was hardly anything to eat soup and a piece of baguette which I was not allowed have and s, yogurt more was not there and it costs quite a lot of money that you have to save hard. I wanted to lose this

I would like to give another reaction, after my review I got a call from the Boerhaave clinic they found it very annoying (me too) but I told the whole story I can always come back, I have to think about that I think it's nice that they have called, and I have also received a beautiful bunch of flowers
But I like that they have reacted, that's how it should be.

Excellent clinic, very professional and friendly staff that puts you at ease.
dr. L.P. van der Weij and his collaborators are all fantastic people. There you certainly don't feel like a patient but more like in a family environment.

Deze zomer heb ik een neuscorrectie laten uitvoeren door dr van der Weij. Ik was hiervoor altijd onzeker over m'n neus en ik wilde niet dat iemand me van de zijkant bekeek. Ik wilde er altijd al iets aan laten doen, maar ik durfde het niet zo goed. Begin 2016 ging ik me er echter steeds meer voor schamen en stond ik elke dag in de spiegel te kijken hoe het zou zijn als ik een correctie zou laten doen.

Bij de website van Boerhaave had ik een goed gevoel en er stond dat je een gratis en vrijblijvend consult krijgt. Dit heb ik gedaan, ik kreeg meteen een goed gevoel erbij. Ik kreeg alle informatie die ik nodig had en kreeg de kans om uitgebreid vragen te stellen. Er werd niet gepusht, ik kon gewoon zonder een afspraak weggaan, want ik wilde er nog even over denken. Een paar dagen later heb ik gebeld voor een afspraak, ik kon al snel terecht (volgens mij een maand later al).
Op de dag van de operatie werd ik gerustgesteld, ik vind infusen en narcose eng, maar de anesthesie verpleegkunde was erg lief voor me en ook kundig, ik heb nog nooit meegemaakt dat een infuus zetten in 1 keer lukt bij mij, maar hij kon het wel!
Het volgende moment werd ik wakker en was het al gebeurd. Ik moest nog even blijven om te controleren of het goed met me ging, maar mocht na een uur of 2 al weer naar huis. In die tussentijd mocht er ook bezoek bij zijn.
Na de operatie moet je een week lang met neustampons en verband lopen, daar zag ik erg tegenop. Het viel uiteindelijk heel erg mee.
Na een week moest ik terug naar de kliniek, en werd het verband eraf gehaald. Ik schrok van wat ik in de spiegel zag, want het was nog gezwollen. Twee weken later waren de meeste zwellingen weg en ook de hematomen waren weg.
3 maanden erna had ik mijn laatste controle, alles was prima. Er werd bij vermeld dat ik niet meer terug hoefde, en altijd kon bellen als er iets was.
Achteraf ben ik super blij dat ik het heb laten doen, het resultaat is echt heel mooi geworden!
Mocht je dit ook overwegen, Boerhaave kliniek is zeker een aanrader. Dr van der Weij is erg professioneel en kundig, en iedereen neemt de tijd voor je.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND EVERYONE, DR. VAN DER WEIJ wants to be helped.

it is totally not to my liking. He does not listen to my wishes and does not care that I feel bad at all.

please people go somewhere else and save your money.

I called the neurology department to try to schedule a consultation with a neurologist about issues related to brain injury. The first woman had heard of my issue but stated she was not a doctor or assistant and transferred me to the assistant in the neurology department. The assistant proceeded to tell me she s never heard of it and gave her opinion, after stating she was not a doctor. This clinic should educate its assistants to know their role, not to overstep their role, and the difference between a doctor and an assistant. I got in immediately at another clinic that right away knew of the problem and are helping me address the issue.

After a telephone appointment, I went to the Boerhaave clinic for an orientation meeting about a breast augmentation with Doctor S.J.A. Beekmans, who explained it very clearly to another, also pictures were taken and measurements were taken.

On the way back home we discussed together that we would make an appointment for an operation.

After some doubts about the chosen size I made another appointment with Doctor S.J.A. Beekmans, (which was no problem at all) chose a new size and went home.

The operation went smoothly and I am also very satisfied with the aftercare, it turned out to be a very good result, me and my husband are very happy with it.

I was operated on my eyelids by Dr. S. Fortuin. The eyelid correction itself went in a very relaxed atmosphere and I was not nervous at all. I never had any pain after the operation and because of the good advice I hardly had any bruises. The result is as I hoped but better than expected! Had another check twice, well arranged. I would do it again and only by Dr. Fontijn!

Almost 4 weeks ago i had a ear correction ( otoplasty) by doctors stengs . Operation took little more than 2 hours, as my left ear was little complicated and doctor has to put some extra stiches. It was little painful. After one week my head band was took off and i was happy to see big changes.. it took another week to settle as i had no feelings in ear because of anesthesia. They were swollen also after 4 days all swollings went off
And slowly stiches are drying and going off to.
Well it was a life changing experience

Result ZERO. In May 2020 I had done S-lift with dr Bakker and of course with the expectation that my face will look a bit younger. At least that is what is promised.
No not at all. Throwed away 2500 euros and all that trouble around it.
I am very dissatisfied and feel cheated.

Don't take time for you, work you out quickly. Time wasted, gasoline, and parking costs. Lousy location too! And lousy Doctors.

Kliniek verdient niet eens 1 ster. Aub mensen laat je NIET opereren door Dr. Bakkers hij heeft mijn neus verpest ! Ik heb 4500 betaald voor een resultaat dat niet naar mijn wens is. En nu moet ik 5500 betalen voor een herstel operatie. hij heeft mijn neus duidelijk beschadigd. Tussenschot is scheef, ongelijke neusgaten, deukje op neus punt. kijk uit lieve mensen GEEN NEUS CORRECTIE BIJ BOEREHAAVE VOORAL NIET BIJ DR. Bakkers. ik gun jullie de beste. !!!!

At the beginning of this year I had a total nose job done at the Boerhaave Medical Center. Doctor L.P. van de Weij carried out the procedure, to complete satisfaction, I want to say. At the intake, he told me what I could expect and how the procedure would go and that's how it went. Because of my large (male) nose, my face had a fairly surly expression. My face has definitely become much friendlier, I notice that in particular from a meeting with unknown people, who find contact with me more easily. The supervision of specialists in the Boerhaave clinic before, during and after treatment were very friendly and informative and knowledgeable undoubtedly busy, because the result is really conducted in good order

I am dissatisfied with the upper and lower eyelid correction at L.van der Weij.
The upper eyelids have become too short, which makes me look creepy when I look surprised, so I don't dare to look surprised, because then my eyes pull up in a nasty way.
One of my lower eyelids developed a dent.
When I went to check he was annoyed.
Recovery of the lower eyelids took a long time.

Operaties die ik een x aantal jaar geleden onderging ben ik nog steeds tevreden over. Wonden waren snel genezen en geen ontstekingen gehad. Ook is het resultaat prachtig. Ook prima nazorg gehad. Dat is in andere klinieken wel anders weet ik uit ervaring.
Dit is de enige kliniek waar ik vol vertrouwen onder het mes durf!!!

3 weeks ago to have a neck / facelift performed by dr. Van der Weij and I am very happy! The result is surprisingly beautiful. Scars are beautifully removed. Admission and care was also very well arranged. I recommend this clinic to everyone. A big 10 !!!!!!

My appointment (first post surgery check up) was for 16:45 and after 45 min waiting i asked why is nobody coming for me,the answer was sorry the doctor is on business meeting.So my appointment was rescheduled for 18:30

After 4 treatments all of my hairs (face) off. Start the summer with a super nice result!

Driven hours for a consultation that was 10 minutes late and was also worked out within 10 minutes. No information about the treatment received no information about the prostheses. Only talked about my BMI and that I had to lose weight for the treatment. I understand, but at least provide information about the procedure and the products.
