It may not have all the flash and glitz compared to the Dr Philips Performing Arts Center, but Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre is still a solid venue that hosts a number of events. I most recently watched a comedian perform here, and the sightlines on the lower level were good, acoustics were solid, and concessions were OK. Parking is a little easier than for DPPAC. Overall a nice place to catch a show.

Good seats. Crowd control. On their website it claims that you can eat and drink in the theater but the catch there is that you can't bring your own food and drink you can only bring their food and drink into the theater

Saw the Celtic Woman - Voices of Angels show. This facility is getting quite obsolete after the 2 Dr. Phillips theatres opened nearby. Still, can't beat the parking in the garage next door, and quick in and out of this theatre.

John Prime was wonderful, Bob Carr not so much! Show was great but venue is dated, with crowded lobbies and aisles. Bathrooms miniscule with continuous long lines. Bars understaffed; 20 minutes to get served. Time for some changes...

Intimate setting that still holds a lot of people. I was like 25 rows back, but it's angled nicely so you get a great shot at the stage, no matter where you sit. And the parking is fairly plentiful and not too pricy

Old Orlando theater that has had a new paint job but still has issues with handicap access and bathrooms. It might just be me but WHY does it not have a center aisle? The center seating section it almost the entire width and ughh dealing with access and people exiting is a pain. Also I think it would be a scary situation if there was a rush to exit for any reason!

I am a season ticket holder to the Orlando Philharmonic and this venue is not fit for such a fabulous orchestra, what a disgrace. The exterior is in complete disrepair, and the interior is just adequate. I can't wait for their new venue to be built.

We were at the balcony so of course the one your watching was small you need binoculars. Then the sound did not resonate over there. Emergency light on the right side of the stairs were lit. It was annoying. But the rest of the emergency lights were dimmed except that one.

Went to see a comedy show at this theater. First, drinks were outrageously priced (I paid $20 a piece for some tiny double shot liquor beverage) then when we got to our seats we couldn't understand a thing the comedian was saying. I mean the entire section was complaining. When we mentioned what was happening, The management said they would refund our money but we had to leave, which I did understand, however, when I asked if we could get refunded half to be able to stay and if the problem was solved (they were trying to resolve the issue) be able to see SOME of the show? Nope... We had to leave. The staff became rude with us. Let's just say I will not return. Oh! Did I mention I drove 2 1/2 hours to come here? Think it's time to check your sound equipment.

We went to the Orlando diabetes dance show. And they were very talented young people. We had a great time. All types of dance was performed. The only reason I didn't give it 5 Stars was parking was atrocious it took almost 20 minutes to park. And it was the standard $10 just took too long to park and no lights the lighting is horrible there in the parking lot not safe at all.

We went and saw Dave Chappelle comedy show last night. The theater itself is okay. The audio and visuals were good. The only issue I have was with Parking. There were 2 people "directing" traffic into the Lot 1 Parking lot. It was a very long line to get into parking which is usual (we expected that). There are 2 lanes that pass by the parking lot, and the right lane was the line to get into the parking lot. There are no signs that say this, and the girl directing traffic was waving people through the left lane. It LOOKED like both lanes were to get into the parking lot. The left lane was going quicker. There are no signs that say the left lane is for thru traffic only and the girl was waving people to come towards her (in the left lane). Naturally we got over into the left lane because the right lane was backed up for quite some time, and other people were doing the same thing. It turns out she was telling people to drive by and then turn around to get into the other oncoming line to get into the parking lot. We were very mad that this wasn't communicated on a sign or another individual, because we were almost into the lot. To top it all off, there was no indication that there was a fee for parking (we've only been to the Bob Carr twice, and we read the email thoroughly). It was $10 for crappy parking service! It was a very stressful moment right before going in. I don't think we will return to this venue. The tickets were already $58 a seat for an hour & a half show. The parking should be free since the parking staff can't do their job efficiently. The staff inside the theater are nice and friendly, but the first impression (parking) was where you lost us. It's silly and unfortunate.

4 of us went to the Bob Carr theater for the first time to see Anita Baker. I appreciate the email a couple days before the event providing me with advanced info regarding parking, traffic patterns and other interesting and important facts. But I was shocked at the seating layout. You either entered from the left or right if you had orchestra seats. We were in seats 18 - 22 and while I chose to be close to the center of the theater, I had no idea I would have to walk by 18 seats to get to my seat and I assume another 24 - 26 seats to get to the other side. Once the concert started my friend had to use their cell phone flashlight to avoid crushing toes or worse. How could the Fire Marshall allow no middle isle be required? The concert was great, but I will avoid going to this venue unless Jesus is headlining.
