Great place, great views from the dining room. We went early for happy hour and had the deviled eggs and raw oysters. They feature an oyster of the day for happy hour. The dining room is small and lively but you can also sit at the large bar to eat dinner. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful in making our wine and entree selections.

Excellent restaurant! I have no complaints about this place. The service was very good, friendly and knowledgeable. We sampled all 4 oyster choices. They were served very chilled and tasted fresh. The lobster appetizer was excellent. We had the porchetta special which was also very good. They had many drink specials and I loved the craft beer selections. The best part of the restaurant is they offer different specials every night through the off season. We went on Tuesday night, 25% off the entire check. This is a great place. I will definitely be back.

This restaurant never disappoints. It's a definite favorite of ours. The appetizers are always delicious. Same for our main course. This time, I had the swordfish, it was excellent!

Lively place with very consistently good food, a bit pricey but in-line with quality and decor. This is SODEl restaurant, a company that has a reputation for professional staff that enjoy their careers, good menu choices, and well kept kitchens and dining rooms. This place is always busy-but always efficient without making you feel rushed. Once you are inside, you forget that the place is in the middle of a large parking lot! Actually, free parking is a plus in this town! The outdoor patio is fantastic! Kids are welcome but not what I would describe as a family restuarant. It's a great place to dress up for a special occasion or night out with friends. Good bar, good food, and good time place. Check it out! All SODEL restaurants describe the same way...they have several themes in their group, Italian, seafood, pizza, soon to be brewery and more.Off season specials nights are busy and offer great deals. Check out their website and visit one if you are headed to Rehoboth.

Go early, enjoy happy hour, get the shrimp dumplings.

Blue Coast is one of many from the same family of restaurants, and we have yet to be disappointed at any of them. We especially like their Happy Hour. It's one hour only, 4-5 right now (August 2020). They have all drafts at $3, with normally 5 or so to chose from. Some are local drafts and other are staples from great breweries, Bells Two Hearted anyone. They offer a few wines and some cocktails as well $6-$8. And then there's the food. It's fantastic. If you're not sure what to get go with the crab cake and a deviled eggs (or 2) at $13 for the crab cake and $1/deviled eggs, they're a great deal. The crab cake is tons of lump crab, nice and thick, with a buttery brioche roll. If you feel more adventurous the shrimp dumplings are The Best Thing on the menu. So good. I'm not sure what sauce they're bathed in, but it heaven and sunshine. We Also grabbed 2 oyster tacos (special taco do the day), for $6/pair. They were delicious but small. Most people will need 2 pairs to be full at all. Truffle waffle fries at $6 are a solid bet as well. Their Happy hour is at the high tops near the bar and outside only, but it's worth it to get there early and get a great deal on some amazing food.

Hearing much of the ranting over this new establishment I just had to swing out and try this crazed place. So I wowed my husband on his birthday lunch ( since he's a chef and may I add a strict critic when it comes to eating out).Just from walking through the door service was amazing, smiling greeters, the atmosphere calmed your mood and no waiting for a table. We were not seated very long when the waiter came to start our drinks and appetizers ( Buttermilk fried Baby Lobster Tails, Steamed Shrimp Dumplings paired with Pinot Gris and Draft for him of course). The plated presentation was first to greet our eyes as we look for these things, amazing I must say! Then comes my husband taking bites of the food (me, awkwardly pausing awaiting for a responce..... nothing but "this is scrumptious"!) Yes, I knocked it out the park. Everything from the dipping sauce wowed him. For the entree we rolled into the buttermilk fried chicken and blackened salmon on a bed of kale caesar. No words were heard from this man, not one complaint! All in all, we ended our lunch with a warm cinnamon bread pudding topped with maple caramel and walnuts for his birthday surprise as the waiter sung to him and he blew his candle out. So, I would strongly encourage to try this establishment out, however, I would also encourage this establishment to stay so great.

Love it love it love it. Bethany's best kept secret and our favorite eatery on the Delaware shore. Baby lobster tails to die for. Has a touch of class unobtainable anywhere else in the area. Yes, it's more expensive than other nearby restaurants and worth every penny.

We had amazing service and fantastic food! The dishes were crafted so well, each flavor complimented each other. It was also amazing to have been taken care with great service. Our main server was very attentive, patient, and knowledgeable, while the other servers would pick up any empty plates or glasses they saw as they passed our table. Definitely can see the team work here!

Came here with a large group and everyone loved their food. My boyfriend and I ordered the calamari to start and it was delicious. I had the scallops and I cleaned my plate! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice dinner out

This small but amazing nestled place was absolutely enjoyable from the friendly servers right down to the delicious delectable plates for dinner. By far stellar service and menu. 1st time and sure won't be the last. Anniversary dinner was a success!

One of the best places in the OC/FEN Area. The feel of cozy intimate dining in a casual beach feel building. Food and service top notch. They accommodated 9 of us in a heavy rain storm no notice as one of our first visits. Careful tucked away along the highway if you blink you could miss it trust your GPS.

The food is amazing....probably one of the best seafood places...if not the best, in Bethany. Unfortunately, the acoustics are so bad it is hard to enjoy a meal. We even went at 5pm last time, but the place filled up quickly. My brain wasn't working when we left...it is so loud. Maybe eating at the bar would be a solution. The food and service really are great.

Loved this place! Been going to Bethany for years and just tried for the first time. We actually went twice in our weeks vacation. Food was delicious and service was great! Few highlights were the filet, wontons ,scallops and those delicious truffle potatoes. Glasses of wine a little bit pricey though and pour seemed small but otherwise excellent!

Our hostess Emily was fantastic and most of our party of 6 food was really good, but the noise in the restaurant was louder then ChuckECheese with 3 parties going on. Was really annoying considering the cost of the meals. Also they apparently have different menu's on different nights, so before deciding what you want make sure they give you a current menu.

Food was delicious and service was quick and friendly! We are visiting for the week otherwise we would definitely be back. It was a little loud but not unbearable. I had the Crab Carbonara which was amazing and my husband had the halibut special which he said was perfectly seasoned and cooked, even our 2 year old wanted more!

the food is so incredible but their seating system is flawed in my opinion. they don't take reservations. This would be the second time I've been there this summer but The wait was 1.5 hours and so we had to go somewhere else.

It gets packed, but the food is good and prices are reasonable. The scenery is great, and while the staff can be spotty, everyone is friendly and accommodating...just be aware of this if you dine at peak hours.

Food was good but the servers seem untrained and not very friendly at all. Our waitress was inattentive and abrupt. If you like engaged, happy, and quality service, I'd suggest another seafood/ raw bar.

Extremely disappointing. I read the reviews and the lists (best eats in Bethany, etc.) and had high hopes.

First the good, my oysters on the half shell DIY sampler was awesome. Recommended by our server who was friendly and well informed.

Now the bad: My wife's swordfish was so overdone it was as tough as overcooked steak. She sent it back and the second version was much better. My 9 year old's salmon was almost as badly overcooked and dry as the first swordfish. Even my 6 year old's chicken tenders were overdone, dry and bland. I also had the Old Bay tater tot side dish (I forget what it was called exactly), and tasted nothing resembling Old Bay. Blah.

The rest: The beer list was unimpressive. Maybe four "craft" beers offered. And one (the Troegs) wasn't even correctly listed.

The indoor dining room was extremely loud. Just one of those spaces that reflect every conversation around until the whole place is awash in noise.

The view over the water was nice. The dining room itself looks great. The staff were generally nice and helpful. Of note: we got there about 30 minutes after opening and the place was packed (@ about 5:30pm on a Wednesday). The kitchen was obviously slammed, which probability accounts for everything that was cooked being overdone. Doesn't excuse it. But perhaps explains it.

So take the reviews and lists with a grain of salt. Perhaps we just hit it in a bad night. But we will never be going back there. There are other, better choices nearby.

Years ago the food was well prepared. Now it really has gone down hill and is over priced. We had a bowl of crab soup and it was super salty and had a couple of pieces of crab meat. The soup was $10 and there was probably 8 oz. in the bowl. I had the crab cakes $32 and they were Luke warm and had too much mayonnaise in them. Most of the crab meat was not lump meat. This restaurant is now taking short cuts on quality and preparation of the food. What a shame.
