I had dinner here the other night and it was really great. The staff was very attentive, the food came quickly and the filet I had was the best one I've eaten in years - an absolutely perfect medium rare. The tap list isn't remarkable but is varied enough that you can get something you like and the complimentary popovers to start things off were delicious. The only slight (not really) negative is that the menu no longer includes jalapeno mashed potatoes which were a reason to go all on their own.

My husband went here for a work dinner. First of all, everyone is right: the popovers are amazing. From the sides, the stuffed mushrooms were a favorite. I got a NY Strip, but a friend's ribeye seems to be the better choice after trying his. Another friend got a kobe-waygu cut which she let me try. It amazingly melted in my mouth and definitely doesn't need sauce, but I question the ethics of eating a piece of an animal that cost you--to what we calculated--a whopping $2 a bite. But hey, maybe I'm just not initiated enough into very expensive dining. The place has a loud, boisterous feel to it. Lots of grey-hair, white men in suits.

Went for happy hour, decided to not stay for dinner. Was there for my first night of my honeymoon with my husband, and the bartender seemed miserable to be there and the atmosphere was very buisness-esque. Not what we were looking for unfortunately

From the moment you enter this fabulous restaurant, you know you are going to have an experience like no other. You are greeted immediately with big smiles from the staff who truly work as a team to make your dining experience the best it can be. The food is exceptional! Superb! From the popovers, tuna tartare, charcuterie, shrimp, truffle mashed potatoes, to the best filet cooked to perfection. BLT Steak deserves 5 stars for incredible food, service, and hospitality. Special call out to Aziz, Guillermo, Jose, and GM, Beau, for a delightful experience from start to finish. I will certainly return!

Best steakhouse in town - bar none. Everything they do is excellent. The steaks are seasoned well with just the right amt of searing. Sides are phenomenal. Service is elegant and professional.

The ambiance, food, and service at this establishment were excellent. From the minute my girlfriend and I were seated to a beautiful booth, we received exemplary service from the host followed by our waiter. The homemade bread was extremely light and airy and complimented excellently by the fresh butter and salt. We order the two filet option and they were both cooked to perfection and complimented fantastically by the wine recommended by our server. The brussels sprouts and truffle mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious as sides. For dessert we were blown away by the crepe souffle and peanut butter chocolate mousse: both delicious without being overwhelmingly sweet. We even had the pleasure of meeting the manager and the chef and were so impressed by the hospitality and attention to detail at every level. I would highly recommended this restaurant for any occasion and look forward to coming back soon. Thank you BLT for the great experience.

The service was good while the food was just okay. I ordered the steak sandwich. It tasted great but the steak itself was quite chewy and not cooked to medium. My friend ordered the burger and it also did not come at the correct temperature. Overall a good experience, just a few minor cooking issues.

BLT is fabulous! The atmosphere is wonderful, never an empty glass or a crumb on the table! The food was fresh and delicious. The tuna tar tare is a must! Most importantly their sommelier, excellent choice of wine for our table, can't wait to go back!

Came to BLT Steak for a work lunch. Definitely has a classic steakhouse vibe with lots of suits in the lunch crowd. The complimentary popovers to start the meal were delicious as was the bacon appetizer. My hanger steak was cooked perfectly and coworkers raved about the tuna entree and roast chicken. Don't skip dessert here!

The food was all I would expect from a DC steakhouse - excellent. The service knocked me out! Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. I've only been the one time, but I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong here.

We LOVE this restaurant!! Our second time here and it was even better. I hate these times for restaurants, I wish people would just get out and enjoy them again!! I hope this one makes it. The service is amazing, the food was cooked perfectly!! The wine choices are great whether by the glass or bottle. The burrata was perfect. The meat was cooked exactly as asked and tasted wonderful!! Very centrally located near the White House and many sites!!

If you go here just know their prices are at the higher level. It is the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5. That being said: A+ service, our table had a team of 5 wait staff that served and checked in on us. Grade A for the steak house centered menu: the quality of meat was great, they cooked it to a perfect Med Rare (what we asked for), the sides were delicious (try the brussel sprouts), and the desserts were extremely good). The portion size is only enough for one. Grade A facility and appropriate ambiance for the fare, and you will be able to hear and speak to you dinner date without struggle.

I had one of the worst dining experiences ever in my life last night at BLT. I should have known better when they were the only steakhouse with last minute reservations. I won't even dive into the horrible service or joke of a seafood "platter."

All three of us ordered the "special" dry aged ribeye. They must have been trying to clean out the refrigerator. One of the steaks looked relatively normal and decently thick and cooked somewhat medium rare. The other two looked like we ordered Bob Evan's steak and eggs. They were maybe 1/2" thick, cooked grey (ordered medium rare), and flavorless. Essentially, we had $55 strips of leather on our plates. I took a few bites and had to send them back. The waiter and manager even agreed they were far below acceptable. The manager admitted to seeing them leave the kitchen and questioned in her head how they looked but off they went to our table.

After complaining, they scrambled to bring us new steaks. The new ribeyes were still thin and covered in fat and basically rare. I love a ribeye and the marbeling but these were disgusting with strips of fat hanging off the sides. There's a picture included. At that point, we said we just wanted to leave. We ended the meal, got our check, paid and left.

It truly was a horrible dining experience. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. There are much better steakhouses in DC...just plan in advance and get reservations.

Where to begin? We passed this place walking to Georgetown and decided to eat dinner there later. We definitely felt sweaty and a little under dressed, but everyone was so friendly. We started off with mocktails which blew our mind!!! The burrata appetizer was insane, the tomatoes tasted so fresh. My boyfriend loved his salad and the complimentary pop overs were a total hit with us. I got the tuna and truffle mashed potatoes and my bf got the salmon. They both were easily one of the best meals of our lives. Finished off with the carrot cake and brownies. Totally recommended!!

Almost a 5 star establishment. The popovers are sinfully good, beware! I ordered the filet mignon MR. The filet was cooked perfectly and an extremely tender cut, the flavor was a bit lacking. Although the truffle mashed potatoes tasted great, I think that I can thank the truffle for that. The texture of the potatoes were exactly like instant potatoes. Great service.

Legitimate fine dining. Delicious food, presented in creative ways, by staff that know what they're doing. Priced out of the common budget, but certainly worth treating yourself to it every so often

Birthday dinner and returned for an Anniversary dinner. The cloud bread (popover) is to die for! Pate was a new experience for us, done so well and it was delicious. Overall experience was very pleasant. They even remembered us our second time coming in. I wish I lived in the area so I could visit more.

Amazing. We came in at the end of the night and everything was perfect from the second we walked in the door. Steaks were cooked to perfection. (Peppercorn sauce and truffle mashed potatoes were my favorites.) Service was perfect and even though it was late we didn't feel rushed at all. We'll definitely be back!

I just had the worst birthday dinner at BLT Steak....

I just had the worst birthday dinner at BLT Steak. The Dover Sole was cold and like rubber. The potatoes were undercooked. The Filet mignon was over cooked, cold and tough. The carrots and popovers were also cold and awful. I paid almost $200 dollars for a terrible meal. Don t go! It s a waste of good money. Oh they also couldn t make a decent Bloody Mary and they ran out of syrup for the coke.
