The conference rooms were very nice, the sound nice and clear. The lobby is gorgeous and the coffee shop made great drinks!

Overpriced for such a simple room. Wi-Fi is only free for Marriott rewards members. The Wi-Fi speed is painstakingly slow for anything other than checking email. Staff is very slow for service to your room unless you call down to the front office multiple times. Nice little fitness center. Pool is a little bit on the small side for the price of the stay, but it works. Breakfast is not free, $13 per person, but the breakfast is very nice. Fresh squeezed orange juice, omelet making stations with farm-to-table eggs, as well as a buffet of eggs, to biscuits and gravy. This place looks nice, but is nothing more than simple and overpriced.

They got mad at me for taking a dump in the lobby. Don't go in the pool either

Was only in the meeting rooms, but it was very nice.

This is a nice, new Marriott property. Everything you expect from the full service brand. Brunch was the typical solid food options.

Stayed there recently for team sporting event. Very accommodating to our large group. Excellent service while there for the weekend and even following. I left items in the room after checkout. They have a great app to use to have items accidentally left behind shipped. Received my items back in less than a week. Very impressive.

On Wednesday 4/22/20 I was passing through town and had to wait for the greyhound bus. I stopped by the Marriott and the staff was very nice to me and accommodating. I will be booking my stay at the Marriott on my next trip to Bloomington.

April 12, 2012 As far as the hotel itself, i was very impressed. The apperance, quality, and overall perception of the facility was amazing. I only wish the service would match the apperance. I had called the night before and changed my reservaton and a woman who barely could understand english screwed up my reservation and after driving 9 hours all night i showed up and had no room to stay in. And even after their screw up they did not fix the situation and i ended up staying in a motel 6. I have never had a hotel treat me that way and would never recommend this hotel because of the way i was dealt with.

The lobby was very clean and inviting. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. I did ask for a room without an adjoining room and they said they could accommodate. I got to my room which was very clean and big, but with an adjoining room. The conference room was big and clean. Very pleasant experience overall.

Very poorly organized hotel. The hotel was packed for a beauty pagent, and seems the hotel how to provide customer service during this time.

Beautiful hotel however the staff could use some work. The bellhop was the best of them all. The rest were not very helpful or receptive.

Very nice hotel and nice staff. I went here for the problem solving competition and it was the perfect hotel for it. The ballroom is big and could fit everything. Also the rooms were very clean and nice. This is a good hotel that I recommend to people looking for a place to stay in Bloomington Normal Illinois

Bloomington normal for a work conference, staff was awesome

Rude employees. They have a parking garage attached but it was full and we had to park at another garage. When we told the check in guy, his response was "huh". Didn't offer to validate that garage, didn't even pretend to apologize. Then in the morning room service began banging on the door at 8:20 and it continued every 25 min until we left at 10:15. Apparently it was time for us to go. The place looks beautiful but I didn't like it. There's no breakfast buffet, just a door down order restaurant. Which sometimes when your just wanting to get a little something on the go is nice to have the Continental set up. Besides with room service trying to toss you out ASAP who has time for a sit down meal..... we usually stay across the street and I really like that place much better....

Very crowded for high schoolers getting prom pictures done, staff was very accommodating and friendly.

The hotel staff, ranging from check in, servers, to house cleaning are professional, welcoming, and friendly. They made my stay wonderful.

Rooms were clean and tidy. Visited the facility for a wedding. The staff was great and very friendly. Highly recommend for a banquet or formal event.

This was my second stay, thankfully I knew the drill. The front desk didnt give me any info when I checked in. Just handed over my room keys and sent me on my way. I had to go back and ask for my breakfast vouchers and the wifi information (which was included in my stay). My room was quiet. I couldn't hear the guests next to me at all... I could however hear all the commotion from the party downstairs in the lobby who decided to stay up past midnight. The room is nice and clean. I also like the area and the fact that I can walk to a lot of different restaurants.

Very nice hotel. Parking is easy and accessible through Skybridge. Service was very good.

Didn't stay, was visiting someone who was. Room was nice but I thought way overpriced for what you got.

Toastmasters held our Christmas party here and i must say the ambiance and food were amazing. The wings were great but funny enough the casadiallas caught my attention with avacado and little grape tomatoes in them, simple but delicious. Not something i would have thought to add. The staff was helpful courteous as well as very nice. I will definitely recommend going back next year. The tree in the lobby was beautifully decorated and very grand.

Great hotel. They even gave extras this trip like a free bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! How sweet was that! It's expensive to stay here but I think it's worth it!

In town from Ohio and I consider myself an EXTREME coffee snob. Walked over to this place, super clean, very prompt service and a VERY delicious iced caramel latte!! I will be back tomorrow...and....
I wish we had one in Columbus!

Stunning hotel! I was there for a conference and did not stay but the lobby and conference areas are just beautiful.

Was there for a business meeting. TV provider was going in and out and nothing could be done to fix it.

Very nice, clean, easy accessible facility, train tracks are near by.

Loved it! The Manager Cassy was incredible. She went out of her way to accommodate even though there was a trade show going on. Well worth it. I will definitely be back!!

The hot overall was very nice!! The staff was polite, the room was clean, and the hot was close to everything that we would need!! The I know complaint I have was worth the glasses in the room were dirty. Still had lipstick on them from whom I guess was the previous occupants.

The location was convenient, the parking deck seemed to have many spots, and the Sky Bridge was really nice to not have to walk outside in the snow. The hotel was clean and spacious, and the fitness center was open 24/7 with a nice set up. Would stay again!

This hotel is conveniently located downtown. The hotel staff are exceptional. The event has been great. The amenities are top quality.

Very nice well maintained hotel. The bed was amazing! I've slept in many hotel beds but the beds here are incredibly comfortable. The service staff are very friendly abs $8 parking in an attached parking garage is incredibly convenient.

All the extras cost extra. Very nice and comfortable beds. Very convenient to Illinois State University.

We were in town for the Normal Street - Arts Festival mid July ...

My sister whom is disabled and cannot not walk far or swiftly at all needed a wheel chair after a short attempt to do so at the Street Arts Festival .

On a whim I stepped into the adjacent Marriott and spoke with each Bob and Stephanie at the lobby counter / customer service area .

They were overwhelmingly happy to provide a complimentary / temp loan- out wheelchair for my sister which we returned inside a few hours ..* i can tell you that Not Every Hotel would have been so generous , trusting and CARING *

Nice hotel with clean, modern rooms. The only thing lacking was USB ports in the rooms for phone/electronics charging. Restaurant, bar, and coffee/breakfast kiosk on premises. Parking in the garage accross the street with an enclosed walkway to the hotel.

Nice facilities and staff. No free WiFi. Easy parking with a sky bridge right to the lot.

Nice hotel. Charged for wifi and continental breakfast.

Rundown and incompetent staff. Management assigned my room to another guest. Other guest walked into my room while I was in it. Didn't get an apology. Staff acted like it was my fault they assigned my room to someone else. Concierge lounge is horrible. Nachos with cold semi-melted cheese, not good.

The hotel itself is fantastic. The rooms are lovely and the conference facilities were excellent. However the food at the conference was not nearly as good as the hotel itself.

The location of this Marriot was in the down town area of Normal, IL. The service at the bar and restaurant were amazing. I always enjoy my experience at a Marriot.

Tim at Reception, Stacy and Migidi (General Manager) are amazing.

This hotel is amazing.
I've been staying here for business travel for the last month and my experience has been full of pleasure the whole way through, with no disappointments.

Whenever I need something Tim at reception has always been there to help me with all my special requests and needs.
The general manager himself (Migidi) is super friendly and served us himself during weekly happy hour sessions.
Stacy has done an excellent job at handling our large corporate team of guests that are staying at this hotel.

I've stayed at the double tree which has recently renovated rooms, but the vibe is not as great at the doubletree because the lobby and elevators are small and old.

ROOMS:
Beds are always spotless and comfy. Lighting is great, room and bed looks modern. Washrooms including tubs are spotless.

Amenities:
Concierge lounge has dinner and breakfast everyday which is amazing.
Gym is medium sized, has freeweight benches and a pulley machine which is great for versatile workouts.
Pool goes 5ft deep which is fantastic.
The lobby is large and is a pleasant environment as soon as you walk in.

Area:
Many restaurants near by.
Plenty of parking space.

Great space for a party! Easy to locate and parking is close.

The staff at the Marriott did a nice job if making our group comfortable. However, they could not control all aspects of the event... The parking in Uptown Normal is horrendous. You have to park in a garage, across the street from the hotel. Then, you can use a skywalk that is adjoined to the 2nd floor of the hotel. After that, you have to walk the length of the building to get to the lobby. Not a good design. On the whole, the event was well handled, but the hotel is not well laid out.

This place used to be great. I've had my wedding reception there. And stay every New Year Eve. But the place is falling apart ever since the last manager left about 4 yrs ago. Chairs in the president suite are ripping.....yes you heard that correct ripping and falling apart.Had to flip them over to sit on them. Alot of the small things you don't notice usually, you do here. It's sad. Having breakfast in the dining room you notice crown moulding is missing and carpet is ripping. It's sad for a place of maybe 10yrs old to look like this especially when a new Hyatt just opened across the street. The coffee was horrible at the restaurant and at the coffee shop. I mean for our party of 10 it wasnt even drinkable...and smelled of burnt electrical wires. When asked the waitress brought new coffee and explained that they were using a back up system due to the one that's used everyday hasn't worked in a while. And the staff seems friendly and EAGER to clean our rooms. Alot in our party we're chatting at breakfast. We stopped our party at around 2 am. And between 8-9 am we had multiple knocks on our door and other guests said the same. I was not happy as they woke everyone up in my room. Including a sleeping 2 yr old!! One friend said house keeping walking in as they we're sleeping...so sad this place is falling apart and it seems either management or the Marriott company as a whole don't care. Doubt we will be staying here ever again. Sadly we have had fond memories there. But now to make them other places. Wish I could post pics of this stuff....look elsewhere.
