Bloomington-Normal Marriott Hotel and Conference Center Reviews

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and well kept. I was there for a wedding and they were extremely attentive to all of the wedding guests. I would definitely recommend this hotel for any kind of stay or function.

Service is good, the meeting rooms are cold and the food is what you'd expect from normal hotel food.

Went to company party there, conference room was good, food was good. Can't really speak to hotel rooms, didn't stay overnight.

Love the location and decore at the hotel. However if I had to be told one more time that the Hotel was filled to capacity and they were short staffed I was going to scream. My room did not get cleaned and when I called the front they told me exactly that phase. I ask just for towels at 430pm so the four is us could shower. When the guy came he gave me two towels and said that same phrase. I ask him for two more and he said that phrase again. Since the room was not cleaned we did not have enough soap. I again called for soap and was told the same phrase..... supply and demand ? If you build it they will come ?? Always make more than enough?? Phrases I would like the Marriott to consider.

Be sure to book early. Also their breakfast is nice.

Our conference was at this hotel. Didn't stay here. The facilities we top notch.

Nice looking hotel but getting a waiter/waitresses attention can be near impossible. Often the all go awol for 20 minutes at a time.

Very clean. Great decor and meeting spaces. Very helpful front desk staff.

Convenient location near Uptown. Good rooms and services. Would recommend.

Conference rooms were clean and conveniently located. Food very good. Hotel had issues with lights flickering throughout conference space which was distracting

The hotel, service, and room were great. There is a train line really close nearby though that had a horn that went off a few times during the night and can definitely wake up light sleepers.

I was attending the YWCA Women of Distinction Awards Banquet and found that my veggie plate was very dry and non satisfying. However, the staff was wonderful, poised and professional. I enjoyed this magical night honoring women of McLean County despite the food.

I went there for a wedding one weekend. My experience wasn't bad overall. However, the next day I had heard that the hotel gave away the suite that the bride and groom had booked over a year in advance to a couple that showed up the night before. The Marriott was able to work it all out and give the suite back to the bride and groom. Everything worked out, but huge mistakes like that shouldn't happen in the first place.

Very pleasant stay. Clean rooms with nice decor and a friendly staff made this stay enjoyable.

I was there for a wedding, so I can't comment on the rooms. The banquet hall we were in was great and the service was fantastic. A great place for any event.

I attended an event here, did not stay, three food and service was ok.

The rooms were clean and very nice. Parking was in an attached garage which was convenient. Pool was on the small side but still usable. Was only their briefly but it was great.

The Blomington-Normal Marriot is probably my favorite hotel. I have attended many weddings there (including my own) as well as other events such as a military ball. The rooms are spacious and clean and you can't find a better location if you are visiting ISU. I have enjoyed all the food there from the breakfast buffet to late night drinks and appetizers at the bar to a filet at a wedding. I would recommend this Marriott both for a place to stay and a place to host an event.

I mean it's a Marriott, so... of course it's great. Very nice staff. Pretty good food. Quiet. And a skybridge to get to the parking deck. Checks all the boxes.

It was an overall really nice hotel. Room was alright, and staff was great. Especially Sean L, he handeled everything we needed without hesitation. . .dude smashed it. Only problem was that our n64 couldn't hook up to their tv cause they have some mariott specific programming. Other than that it was smooth.

Rooms were very nice, parking was plentiful, and the staff was nice.

The Marriott is always a lovely place. The fountain in the lobby is delightful and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is always excellent as well.

Spacious rooms, decent restaurant in the hotel, on ISU campus. We stay here every time we come to visit. Indoor parking garage with skywalk to the hotel. If you have a student at ISU and you're come f to visir, this is the place to stay.

Went to a company party here. All around pretty good, but the food could've been better.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and meeting hub during the 77th Annual Illinois Public Health Association conference. Very hospitable staff, I misplaced my car keys during my stay and the hotel employees were on the lookout for them. Eventually Jill from the Concierge Lounge found them for me. Great accommodations plus an indoor pool and near the children s museum.

I attended a conference at this location. The catering was done pretty well and I liked the atmosphere. I wish there was better signage from the skywalk to the conference center during my visit

The rooms were well labeled for our event. There were only two pay stations in the parking garage which made us need to wait in a long line to leave.

Always an amazing experience. I stay here regularly and I've never had a bad time. The staff is amazing, and the rooms are clean and cozy.

Pool was nice... Room too, but I had to reinstall a panel off the TV cabinet. Thought it was quite strange that they left it just leaning against the cabinet.

Rooms were clean and fairly renovated worth a good layout. Bar service was very slow and we couldn't find the bartender for a good portion of time.

The property was clean and smelled like a spa. The rooms were clean and so were the sheets, but update your beds, worst Marriott beds we ve ever slept in. Sorry Marriott, but put this location on your list to upgrade beds ASAP!!

The food is good, the banquet hall is nice. Was here for a conference. Oh, and the lobby smells good.

My girlfriend and I got food at Jesses Grille in the lobby of the hotel. Service was great and food was good! The fries were bomb. Overall good experience.

I stayed at the Marriott for a conference and found it to be an excellent experience. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was spotless. The parking was very convenient too.

Banquet room was great for our event. Only complaint was the location of the restrooms.

The location is really great as it is right near a cute little "downtown" area of Normal. Easy to walk to and enjoy a cup of coffee or a nice meal. Rooms are also very nice and spacious.

Nice rooms. Messed up the reservation so I had people knocking on the door and calling the room a few times which was frustrating but it got sorted out.

I didn't use the hotel facilities. I spent a few minutes in the parking lot while I waited for my son's train to arrive.

Very nice hotel. Friendly and accomidating staff. Problem was they had issues with their air conditioners so the rooms were hot. Better than the 98 degrees outside but would have liked it much cooler in our room.

Decent Marriott property. They have a restaurant and bar available downstairs and everyone seemed modern and updated.

Very convenient location, close to bars and restaurants. Friendly and professional staff. Parking garage has a walkway that connects directly to second floor of the hotel, which is convenient if you're carrying luggage. Room was clean and quiet, bed was comfortable.

It was a nice hotel - clean and modern, good amenities, nice rooms. Sometimes seemed a little understaffed re: coffee shop, restaurant and housekeeping, but overall will definitely stay again. Very friendly staff was responsive to any errors or requests.

My pics are the AFTER photos - after telling the front desk. Toilet paper was lower quality than found in the cheapest of gas stations that actually have TP. It may not look dirty at first glance, but it is.

The room was great! The staff was very accommodating, but the only issue we had was that the hot tub was barely luke warm. Other than that our stay was very nice!

Always very clean, with a friendly wait staff willing to help us around. Parking is not an issue, so we were able to get close without much walking.
