I shop at Bloomingdale's a lot and have had great experiences there. My one complaint, for a store that values aesthetics and the mystery of beauty, the store itself is neither aesthetically pleasing (inside or out), nor does it seem to value beauty, which is strange. In an age where we are finally becoming aware of the comforts and the necessity of bringing Nature back into our lives, this store is one big black box with not one green leaf in sight. The outside of the store looks like it was built in the '50s. Big, open garage on one side, endless, broken sidewalk on another, a bunch of old flags flying from the main entrance; not a tree, not a flowerpot in sight. The display windows are old and rarely exhibit the kind of imagination that you might get at, let's say Barney's or now, even Macy's that has a promenade for pedestrians in front and great window displays. I must say, also, that the lightng in the fitting rooms is nothing short of horrific. I try things on and then want to run out the door screaming, "I'm ugly!" I don't think that's what they intended. Plus the front of the store is just over stuffed with too much...well..stuff. It's confusing and overbearing. Do I sound like I don't like Bloomingdalee's? I actually do like it very much but their designs and their aesthetics desperately need to be updated.

As of 2018, August, construction is done in each hierarchy and it is hard to look around considerably.
In addition, the tenants' occupancy space is not very wide, so it is difficult to tell where they are from.
There is not even a clerk, because it is America, it is right if it is said that it is such a reason, if so it would be better to purchase in Japan as it is the same price as Japan.
Unusual for this department store, lower floors, especially the first floor are men's spaces. There Ralph Lauren occupies a large space with the toucan. Escalators can reach only the escalators in the center of the building to the top floor.
As trends in American department stores, we are deploying tenants while being located at the edge and end with men's and ladies in each layer, so there is no doubt that it is quite hard to see if you are used to a department store in Japan.

Very big store, couldn't find the exit! Made a few purchases but admittedly a little pricey but great quality products. Service, particularly the concierge was very kind enough to take me to the exit as I had totally lost direction!

A 10% OFF coupon will be given to travelers from overseas. It's cheaper than buying at many of Manhattan's boutiques, and depending on the season, the business hours are longer, so you can enjoy shopping slowly.

Breakfast at Bloomingdale's...not to be missed. After a prosecco bucks fizz and amazing smoked salmon bagel, what better than to discover Sarah Jessica Parker in the shoe department!

Luxury department store, expensive but all in excellent taste ... I bought a large fiber suitcase. Good service.
If you are not going to buy anything, just for the decoration in each sector, since the entrance, it is worth the trip.

I am glad to able to experience Bloomingdale's again. Bloomingdale's represents the best of New York style and energy. Great brands, great vibe super duper service. Shout out to Steven in mattresses.
He is knowledgeable and caring.

I expected more from the business - you can hear so much. But I was enthusiastic about the FLIP restaurant. The food was extremely good and our waitress (Catherine) was kind of indescribable. She gave us tips for NY.

Bloomingdale's Loyallist program is everything. Accumulating points for your purchases especially during power point events really go a long way toward purchases later on. The staff is usually knowledgeable and helpful. It makes the overall shopping experience hassle free and even enjoyable.

Because it's like no other store in the world. I ordered an item online that was only available for pickup. I got there it was already wrapped in tissue and in a bag and I was done with the entire transaction in less than 5 minutes.

There is nothing like Bloomigdale's. It's simply the best. You will find here a large selection or brands, and high end clothes. Plus shoes, handbags, and so much more to choose from. It has everything from marvelous restaurants to household items, including furnitures and so much more. Not to mention the amazing perfumes and cosmetics departments as well. Last but not least they have a fantastic customers service.

If I can give it zero star I will. My experience is horrible. First most of the sales guys are not helpful at all. They are good at fishing you up for commitment but don't care if the cloth fits. If you need tailoring a suit, the nightmare starts. I went back to pick up my altered suits, and insisted to try it on before I take it. It turned out that the alternation is not good at all, and the tailors are not there that day so I left my contact information and they promised to call me back. A week later without call, I drop by again to check in. My sale guy was not there that day, so it's very hard for me to grab another person to get my suit and a tailor. No one cares. Hands up in the air and they start to kick me from one person to the other. I spent 1000+ on a suit and was treated worse than in a H&M store.

Another evidence of carelessness of their poor customer service is: when I received my Bloomingdale's store credit card, my last name appears twice on the card... Guess I will cancel the card anyway. I will never shop here and I do not recommend anyone shop here. There're plenty of other department stores out there in New York.

I think this may be my favorite Bloomingdale's location. It's spacious but packed with everything that I look for.
Everything is organized so you know which section is what and the employees are pretty helpful.
They also have a good variety of merchandise so it's pretty safe to come here if you see something you like online.

Please please shop anywhere else...this place is an absolute nightmare to deal with. I purchased an item that was meant to be a Christmas gift; unfortunately the first associate I dealt with lied to me about the size (said one size fits all) and lo and behold it didn't fit. We went to the store to exchange it, only to be told they don't have the right size in the whole store (but an online order for the right size was available, meaning they did have it & they just didn't want to look)...

Two weeks later I place another order, this time online, specifically asking for the size I wanted. I picked up the item in the store all wrapped up ready to go. AGAIN, they gave me the wrong size and this time the incompetent associates decided they would give me one that was used. All the seals were broken and it had obviously been taken out of the box and played with. In addition to all of this madness, I had to pay an additional $25 on top of the lost time and aggravation because supposedly the sale had ended.

Tl;dr
Store screwed up my order three times and I still don't have the right thing I needed for something that was intended to be a Christmas gift. Please go anywhere else but this establishment which is simply an abyss of people with total contempt and disrespect for its customers.

First time to store in New York City. Needed a few things in the Lancome department and Jennifer came to my aid. She did a little makeover and I felt like a new woman. Jennifer is amazing , more like a girlfriend not a salesperson. KUDOS
