Now we all seen the glamour of this place in movies and adverts but honestly, I'm from Italy and I live in London and this is comparable to the simplest of supermarkets in Europe. I was looking for a Rolex and.. Well I'm still looking... What I found was the entry level of watches... Yes you have the big names in clothing and bags but the service, the lay out, the decorations and looks have nothing to be even compared to London shops like Harrods, Selfridges or Fortune & Mason not even to Milan's rinascente or Paris shops.. It's OK at best... an above average superstore, far from being exclusive or glamours for any European standard...

My friend and I had a groupon for David Burke's at Bloomingdale's. The staff here are wonderful. Very friendly! Our waiter William gave us his opinions on what he liked and what was good on the menu. We had the lobster dumplings, tomato soup (comes with 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich which was so good), Surf and Turf and the Steak Frites for our entrees. They had ran out of apple tart, but the manager (Hank - very very friendly and personable!) came over to say the chef wanted to make my friend a custom dessert for her in its place. It was really good (apples and fried dough, ice cream and carmelized slice of apple and caramel drizzle. Delish!). We talked with Hank for a bit, really nice guy and seems to really care about the guests and the restaurant as well. All in all I was really pleased with our meal, the atmosphere and the service! I think this is a great place to relax and have a good meal after shopping or walking around the city. I'm sure lunch is just as good. Highly recommend!

While shopping at this Bloomingdale's I needed to change my daughter's diaper but to my surprise there was no changing station in the men's bathroom. This posed quite the problem since my husband and I are both men. I was then instructed to go into the women's bathroom and change my daughter's diaper there. Once inside the woman's bathroom female employee told me I couldn't be in there. I agreed with her but explained that a male employee outside told me to change my daughter's diaper in the women's bathroom. The attendant then leaves and goes outside to talk to the male employee in Spanish. My husband overhears their conversation in which the female employee ask the male employee, "where is the woman?"

This experience was very disappointing and it will be difficult for me to return to this location with my daughter, at least until she's potty trained.

This particular Bloomingdale's is irksome. The store isn't particularly small, but it is packed to the gills with merchandise and feels cramped. Add midtown crowds and you've got a headache. Customer service doesn't mean much here; if you aren't an obvious sale you're paid no heed. Returns are difficult at best; the staff is only interested in earning a commission, not helping customers otherwise. I find myself avoiding Bloomingdale's in favor of their competitors more and more.
