Always a glorious time spent at Southport Raw Bar. The Bimini Bread is a must as well as the oysters. Raw or grilled, although the grilled has cheese I believe but the sizzle is real; so my lactose intolerant buddies beware. Happy Hour lives up to its name. I can't attest to the drinks as I am very focused on my nibble game.

The serenity of the water is an added bonus and the relaxed atmosphere of the establishment.

I've been coming to this place as a kid and it's been around for years before me. This place is known by the locals and a hidden gem for the tourists. They range from grilled oysters and seafood to burgers and beers. The staff were very friendly, and we haven't had one problem with any of the food. Highly recommended

They have great clam chowder and atmosphere to match!

Waterfront dining at regular prices. Great seafood and American food. Casual place with good atmosphere.

My "fresh seafood" tasted like over-cooked, very greasy asian pre-breaded frozen seafood from walmart...which this seemed like I was eating & may well have been--which I avoid like the plague-- We Ordered 4 dishes & we ALL thought the food here was disgusting...Nothing was tasty-nothing was fresh & nothing was prepared with any skill... Maybe the 1/2 shell oysters are fresh, but I rather doubt anything else here is...live & learn-- never again- Nice wait staff though.. Brought the nasty greasy left overs home for my dog & she refused to eat this-- I guess lower-middle class midwestern tourist might think that this food is good or acceptable, but I don't. I'd give them zero star if I could...

Excellent food, great variety & they special pan seared my wife's chicken to keep from cross contamination with seafood.

The best blackened mahi sandwich I've ever had. A little pricey in that for 14.95 it is sandwich only, and doesn't even come with a side of coleslaw but the quality is so good it is worth it.

Iconic piece of Old Fort Lauderdale still standing well into the 21st century. Unique location and ambience will keep you coming back every time. Best staff in all the world. Don't pass this place by, stop in for a bowl of 50/50 (just ask your server) and the freshest oysters in town! Waterfront dining.

Caught fish earlier in the day and brought it here to cook it up. Definitely prefer my fish blacked. Super good

I seen a cockroach climb up a staff members shoe when I notified the manager he told me that this is normal not a big deal and was trying to make me feel stupid for telling him about it.

If your ok with the manager of this place being ok with cockroaches in his facility enjoy your meal.

On top of the manager knowing about cockroaches in his restaurant the food is not good .

Southport Raw Bar is by far my favorite restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. The place has a really fun, casual and authentic vibe. I like that it's popular with both locals and tourists! The service is really friendly. The seafood is great. Don't miss the spicy shrimp cocktail and the raw oysters. Go early (5-6 PM ish) to get a seat outside for a great view.

I remember this place from when I briefly lived in Fort Lauderdale in the late 70's (yes I'm that old). It still has that gritty appeal, and I mean that in the good way. The food is very good if you have your expectations in line.

We had the steamed crab with drawn butter; outstanding! Saw beautiful plates of raw oysters delivered to tables surrounding us, I definitely need to come back for more. Excellent service too!

I really like their clams and their seafood selection overall. The only drawback is that they have a very limited drink menu.

Live music was good. Friendly staff. If you like oysters you gotta try the grill oysters.

Great place for seafood with S. Florida atmosphere. Come by boat car or uber you'll have a great dinner.

Grilled parm oysters were delicious!!. Caesar dressing for the salad was not impressive. Was more buttery and flavorless than normal. We enjoyed the Mahi Mahi tacos. Left 4 stars for the food, would leave 5 but felt disrespected by the man at the bar wearing glasses. We were told to order at the bar for carry out. Walking up to the bar, the man shakes his head and says something about we can't order drinks without dining in. Really? A simple "hello" would suffice. We may be young but we respect the new pandemic rules. Thankfully another lady took care of us. He didn't say a word to us after.

Great place for a seafood fix..been coming here for years.. clam chowder..oysters raw.. grilled or fried my favorites..peel & eat shrimp ..everything is delicious..

Always love this place! Benz is the best server hands down that I've had...he'll remember you and that attention to detail is great! Talia is fun and entertaining behind the bar. GET GRILLED OYSTERS! As a semilocal, this is the place! Just be aware the grill closes earlier than the kitchen...got a little bummed my last visit when I drove down and couldn't get my oysters...

Have visited this place a number of times over the last 35 years. Consistent-ency is their best asset. Whenever I am in the area I always hit the Raw Bar for good fish.

Great spot for fresh seafood.
The service is a little lacking, but overall, worth it for the food. Outdoor seating overlooks the water, with a cold beer and a dozen oysters and clams....what more could you ask for?

Amazing dive bar that's been a South Florida landmark for decades. The conch fritters are incredible. This isn't fine dining. It's just good food in a fun atmosphere.

Food was delicious and prices were great. Parking is rough and servers seemed a little overwhelmed.
