Everything was updated and clean, staff was friends and helpful!

I got a room on the top floor and it was perfect. The staff made me feel like family. I will definitely visit again the next time I am in the area.

Just took a trip with my university's marching band. Accomdations were great.

Killer staff! Dominique and the other lady that is a manager on Sundays (I didnt quite catch her name), but they were EXTREMELY helpful. I couldnt be more impressed with the way they handled things. Beautiful!

We had attended an Indian wedding. Neat and clean rooms. Beautiful hall for wedding parties. I could meet all my friends. We had fabulous time.

The cleanliness left something to be desired. There was a huge hairball outside of bathroom, toilet didn t flush well. Reported it but it did not get resolved. Ice machine on my floor didn t work. Called front desk to ask for ice. Was told there was ice machine on every floor. Then said they would bring ice. Had to call back about hour later to finally get ice. Only positive was food in bar restaurant.

Had to ask 3 times for extra pillows. Bed was uncomfortable. Staff at the front desk were not knowledgeable about the hotel or surrounding area. Advertised there was complimentary breakfast but there was not. Considering canceling my second night to stay at a better hotel.

I recently visited the Marriott on highway 280 for a one day symposium for band directors. The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They all wore a smile and a pleasant tone of voice whole they showed me around, answered questions, and generally struck up conversation. The facilities were clean and orderly. The catered lunch was delicious and well-prepared (because I was honestly expecting overcooked chicken and was proven very wrong). I would enjoy returning for a non-business occasion.

Great place to stay. Being renovated. Rooms are excellent. Starbucks in hotel. Bar and restaurant were excellent. Anna at the bar was super friendly and great mixologist. Bradford and Charlie were excellent at the front desk. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great stay experience, the hotel staff was friendly and ready and able to assist my every need that arose, the workout area and pool were clean and all equipment was working good. The breakfast buffet was good and kept fresh by the staff. Definitely will stay here again when I'm in the area!!!

Don't post a lot ... This one well deserved over priced!!!! Service was poor.. beds not made properly... Rooms dirty!

Very nice hotel for the price I got it for. The room was clean upon arrival and had a very easy time checking in and out. We only stayed one night so was unable to check out all of the amenities but overall had a great experience.

Staff was sloppy and shared a wicked grin. One fair skinned reddish hair punk perhaps stole some cash from me after I asked for a refund. The lobby was crawling with filth and few lights were on. I would send my dog there only so as to take a dump on the manager's desk, or perhaps speedy delivery same to his neck of the woods, rhetorically.

The rooms are newly renovated and very clean. We enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely friendly. I will definitely be back.

Newly renovated. Floor wasn't vacuumed upon our return that day and the bed not made. We pulled the covers up, so it may have looked like we made the bed, but no attempt was made by housekeeping to tighten the sheets & fluff the pillows. A few bits of debris were left on the floor to see if they vacuumed & they were still there after we returned. Two more nights here. Only one drawer to store clothes. Nice amenities.

Nice but going through renovations at the time so loud at times

The place was beautiful and the staff was very patient, welcoming, and helpful. The only problem I had was that it was a little difficult to find the stairwells. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

Welcomed with a smile at 11 pm and a quick check in led to an easy process for getting from car to bed. The rooms are all being renovated and the one I stayed in was bright, clean, and really comfortable. The showers have great water pressure which is a huge plus.

There is a Marriott Starbucks in the lobby and the breakfast buffet is excellent (although a little pricey).

Nice sized weight room with an indoor pool allows for a decent workout with free weights, machines, and treadmills.

Highly suggest if in the area.

Really enjoyed Birmingham. Eve greted us at the hotel and she was outstanding. Give her a raise an a promotion Marriott!

Good location..Although remodeling the stay was nice!

I would give this hotel a ten star of I could. The staff is great, the room are fantastic. Also Mary Ann is super helpful when setting up and event. If there are any bad reviews on this page they are not true.

It was too bad check in was 3 hours late, but I had a great time after the wait.

Service staff is friendly and newly renovated rooms & hotel are very nice. Perfect location as well.

The pool had no towels. One of the elevators had no a/c. The ice machine in the 8th floor wasn't working. But the room was nice.

This hotel is always a good experience. The staff is polite and it is comfortable. I have had issues with the rooms not being thoroughly cleaned or stocked, but you have that with any hotel especially in a busy area.

We had a series of team meetings at the Marriott and the staff was hotel was great.

I've stayed here twice and both times were great. Great customer service great food at the Grille. We got the wings and cheeseburger deal. The beds are just awesome, very comfortable. No fridge in room tho, but they are available upon request. There weren't any liners in the trash cans and the bathtub didn't appear to be clean. Glad I always bring my own cleaning supplies to hotels Overall great hotel for an overnight stay.

Great host for the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association. Look forward to it every year.

Nice service, nice rooms, bed was nice. Fitness center was OK, could be better.

The Marriott hosted an event for Alabama Funeral Directors. The grounds were nice, food was good, and parking was plentiful. I hope to attend more meetings there in the future.

Sooo...the hotel looks nice at first glance...however once you get into the actual stay you find how dysfunctional the whole system is. I walked into my room and the place looked like no one had even began to clean it...the front desk seemed to not know how to do their job by the At your service representative tried her best to communicate my problem...when the housekeeping lady finally showed up she had an attitude and did not show any signs of sympathy. My toilet was having issues and maintenance didn t get to me until two hours after I put my request in. Overall I would rate my experience a two star out of five stars . The restaurant gave the overall rating a two due to both the in room service and the restaurant itself. That s the only part of this hotel I recommend.

An excellent hotel with wonderful food. The bartender and waiters are the best. Clean, fresh and a good price

Hotel is located in Birmingham almost exactly between Tuscaloosa and Talladega which works for us if we come to watch Bama play and are attending a NASCAR race in the same weekend. Hotel staff was friendly and the M lounge was always stocked and clean. Our room had a few issues with the shower and drain not working correctly but maintenance was able to fix. Will stay here again.

Second corporate event I've attend here. Anyways great!

This is my 2nd time staying here and I love it. Everyone is so nice and it is a very clean place . However this is the first time that I actually ordered food from the lobby and I have to say I was disappointed. I had ordered a Cobb salad and added chicken and I ended missing items from the plate the salad was like a side salad it wasn't even worth $20 and now I know why people don't order from the lobby lesson learned go out to eat do not eat here

Awesome place to have a meeting. The facilities were excellent, you could hear the speaker perfectly. The only problem that I really had was that the bathrooms were nowhere near the conference Center. They had some there but they were both blocked off to be used by females. As a guy I had to walk to the very front of the hotel. Other than that everything was perfect.

Other than 1 or 2 maintenance and housekeeping problems, it was lovely

Old furniture in the room. The pool didn't have any towels. When we first made it, the receptionist said they had roll away beds and that he would note it and one would be sent up.. After a couple hours and when I called down starts they was out. You have to unload your own vehicle and roll it on the cart to your room and bring it back... We called for clean towels at 8:00 am and was told they was still working on them in laundry... I paid $195 and it could've been better!!!

The bar has some great people running it... the Marriott has a gentlemen setting up and serving for conventions... Vincent... HE IS THE MAN!!!

Rooms are 'remodeled' but they did not update the old air conditioning units. The first room's unit was already frozen up when we first got to the room, the front desk was very difficult about us changing rooms. I have stayed at a lot of Marriotts and the mattress at this property was very cheap feeling and the pillows were either pancakes or lumpy, for me this what really brought this property down to one star. If you are staying at what you believe is a nice hotel you should get a comfortable night sleep. They really dropped the ball with this remodle, the bathroom door is sliding frosted glass that you can see through the gaps in the sides, and there's nowhere to set your suitcase.

Attended a dinner and meeting at the Birmingham Marriott. I was very impressed with the facility and the staff. Had a very pleasant time.

Excellent Service.... Front desk staff was very pleasant. I went to the bar and the young man working this evening was conversational while being helpful. As I headed back to my room, I walked by the front desk and they called me by name wishing me a good night. Very notable.... The entire staff smiled when they spoke to me. This is my second time staying here in the last four months, but these folks are on their game! Also, my room was very clean and nicely appointed. Location is perfect for restaurants, shopping.... You name it.

Beautiful facility. Close to Barber Motorsports Park.

Stayed here for a group trip. Marriot ended up being a great option. The location was away the busy path, but still close to everything. What I enjoyed the most is that the room included a large smart TV, so one can watch Netflix and other streaming services.

Front desk was awesome. Overall it was outstanding!!
