Not just birds - there is farm animals and aquarium there too. Great day out
Not just birds - there is farm animals and aquarium there too. Great day out
The kids loved it here. Loads to see and do, great play areas, petting farm and aquarium
My friend and i had a wonderful time. I was lucky enough to have had a PENGUIN FEEDING time brought for me. So not only was my personal experience wonderful, the staff were excellent in knowledge and making it so special. But the complete complex was lovely, all staff very helpful. We also saw a very informative flying display. Cafe was very reasonably priced and the food we chose was nice and tasty. Thanks all for such a fantastic time.
It's alright for half a day out if you want to stop for lunch as well. The enclosures are starting to look a bit dated. The birds looked in good condition, although a few were minus some feathers.
Some of the enclosures were very similar with the birds they had being the same in different ones.
Super place for kids. Also included in admission is Jenny Wren farm and Underwater world. Often something extra going on during holidays, too (ie Halloween). Good value entrance fee, but food and drink prices not so. Take a picnic!
Nice day out with the family, i think its slightly over priced though as not everything was available.
Fun - zoo for birds, large with lots to see. Their seasonal events / grottos are good enough for the entry price (really interactive) kids luv it! Get entry to the aquarium whilst your there.
Loved this place, all the animals seem well cared for. The fish tanks could have done with a clean of the glass in the under the sea section but overall a loverly place to visit.
Last went 6 years ago and thought it looked tired and in need of repairs/updates to the enclosures then. Took my 5yo son today as he wanted to go and see penguins and owls. Wish I hadn't bothered, we missed the 2 encounters that were on More
A great little place full of wildlife and stuff for the kids to do. Fab place for a local day out.
Fab for the kids, farm area is great I don't find your allowed to interact as much with the goats anywhere but here
Good family day out, worth a visit and prebook your tickets to save a few pounds
Fantastic place for those who adore birds. I enjoyed being amongst the budgies and zebra finches, feeding the avocets and saying hello to the macaws as we walked in. A great day out!
Great day out for young one and a nice place to have a picnic
Had such a lovely day out. Even though aquarium was closed it didnt make a difference. Lovely grounds
.beautiful birds and a cute little farm for all ages to enjoy
Lots of different birds to see which all looked well kept. Underwater world was a bit underwhelming and the tanks grubby.
Great time, even in the winter cold. The pelican feeding was fun
Loved the Halloween display and the scary talk on the train was a nice touch. The bird of prey display was excellent. A lovely day out. Could have had more to do there...
Not a bad afternoon activity if you have Kids. Nice selection of birds but catering facilities are dire.
Good variety of exhibits but as it is mainly birds, it loses its appeal after a while. The petting zoo is not open right now but that is always a big hit with the kids.
Brilliant day out even though the weather wasn't the best my six year old fell in love with a macaw and broke down in tears when we had to go home
Brilliant setting with many rare birds that you can really get close to
Great day out many beautiful birds to see and animals to interact with. Really enjoyed my day trip to this park was lovely would recommend a trip. Either eat there or take a packed lunch.
A great place for both children and adults.
Educational and provided some great information about the different species of birds.
Staff were also very friendly and helpful.
I've been here twice. Very nice place which is surprisingly large and includes a farm and a small aquarium as well. Look online for buy one get one free vouchers. They're usually available for here all year so will save you a bit. :)
Lovely place but they seriously need to sort the aquarium out it looks awful. It looks the same as it did 25 years ago very very run down
Really good day out but for the bird display we were queuing up for, we were at the front of the queue with two buggies and all the other children pushed Infront of us so we couldn't see a lot of the display. Then we queued up for the "train" which was a little disappointing. But we did all enjoy ourselves. Not sure I would rush back but will go again in a few years.
Lovely place. Lots for the children. You can use Tesco Clubcard vouchers to get in. We went in the winter when there's not so much on and the restaurant was closed, but still good.
If you like birds (the feathered variety) this place is for you.
Large variety on display, in aviaries, including a flying display of birds of prey.
Also there is a waterworld with many aquariams with fish'
Pleasant cafe on the premises
Really good fun bigger than we thought it would be some of the events need steering like th flying display unless you sit in the front row you can't see a thing! Otherwise loved it
Father Christmas was excellent. Great presents for the kids . Lots and lots to do in side Bird World
Good place to visit with children. Quite expensive. Plenty of free parking.
We had a great day today, lots of space for the kids to run around, room for picnics etc. It's not huge but plenty to entertain and inform with presentations in the various enclosures. Penguin feeding time was a big hit.
Mixed feeling about this place. I suspect I don't agree with the main principle of this place- keeping birds in average size cages.. birds should be free to fly..
the entrance and coffee shop look rather tired. disgusting fried food- sausage & chips on the menu etc. The cakes are good. not sure I would come TBH
Really lovely place to relax and see birds and other animals close up
Spent lots of time "chatting" to the parrots , and watching them showing off :) my wife did the penguin experience and loved it !
Definitely a summer location, not a lot going on in the winter
Awesome day out! I don't think I will ever forget the amazing owl experience.
Good day out. Would off been better if not raining.
Very dated decor and the enclosure's are filthy. The farm has very few animals for the size.
Visited on a cold Sunday in January but still enjoyed ourselves. Small but plenty to see.
Good value for money overall. My 8 and 12 year old boys really enjoyed themselves last Sunday. So much so that the younger one wants a birthday party at Birdworld.
I never minded the price after being in the place for few hours as hope that those poor birds in the tiny enclosures will benefit from some of the money and get bigger ones! Gardens are kept lovely the aquarium was bit dated with one tank so murky we couldn't see in.
Underwater world closes at 4, half an hour before Birdworld, despite one admission ticket covering both and being advised "the park" closes at 4.30. My son was inconsolable. I'll be writing to management.
Excellent. Very quick visit. Definitely will be visiting again with family.
Love the place I would definitely recommend this amazing place!
Brilliant place. Saw penguins being fed, beautiful birds everywhere some even loose in the trees overhead. Had a talk about some the animals and birds that were there. The walk through the farm was so good. Finally a walk through Underwater World before leaving. The staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. I was a parent helper on a school trip so didn't get to use the restaurant but we had use of picnic tables for our lunch. A great day out for young and old.
great day out and they seem to be taking the social distancing seriously with regular handwash/sanitiser stations and signed footpaths to keep people away from another
lovely animals there too!
Expensive, but a fun day out if the weather is nice
Amazing place for families. Full day of attractions!
Very nice place to bring the children for a day out!
Very nice to see all the different birds great day out if you like birds
Great place where can get really close to lots of birds and feed them
The kids really enjoyed it and we're really excited x They always enjoy the gift shop
Kept everyone's interest all day... Even the toddler
Triff. Generous helpings with the food... caters for all ages
Birdworld is a good family day out to kill about 4 hours. Make sure you go to the shows
