It is a great place for half a day of fun. My 2 and a half year old daughter loves it and so do I. Lots of different birds to see, a little farm and aquarium.
Helpful staff. Nice place, loads to see. The restaurant is seriously expensive though. Disabled people go free, just take proof of disability if you have an invisible disability like me.
Great day out, they always seem to be changing in order to improve, which is great to see. We always picnic there, lovely large, grassed picnic area. Quite pricey entance prices, we only go when we have an offer, otherwise would be very overpriced for 4 of us.
Nice place to visit.lots of different birds and other animals to look at.a picnic area to eat and a place that serves food.2 children's parks a bigger park for the bigger kids and a smaller park at the farm bit.a good gift shop.an aquarium bit.parking places outside. In the summer face painting and other activities near the picnic areas.lovely place to visit and a nice place to bring your children. There is reindeer's there aswell when we went there in the summertime.Theres a farm with different animals. They do different activities for the public.like feeding times with different animals.saw feeding time with an owl.lovely place to come.
The birds here are beautiful, lots of freedom for the ducks, cages are well thought out with natural surroundings for each country's native bird.
Took my 1 year old boy here on his birthday, not really impressed to be honest, waited around for train ride no one turned up, just not really much going on and a bigger zoo would be my preferred option.
I will however say the animals seem like they are very well looked after
I was taken here as a treat and thought it was a great day out :)
The centre itself were clearly trying to do the heat they could for all the animals with large good quality enclosures. There was loads of Information about everything there and all the staff we dealt with were happy to answer any questions we had.
I was treated to the afternoon penguin feeding experience and I loved it. it started with feeding the penguins as part of the show and went on to include entering the enclosure and feeding them close up. The staff "asked" one of the more friendly hand reared penguins to come and say hello so I was able to touch and stroke one ! I was also given a fridge magnet and a large cuddly penguin as souvenir's. I was super impressed with the staff, really friendly and informative and accomodating.
The farm was adorable and we were impressed by the amount of play areas and things for the younger visitors.
Really loved the Terry Pratchet owl parliament, thought that was wonderful !
We didnt eat there so can't say about food but the coffee was decent and a reasonable price and toilets were easy to find.
Really recommend it as a place to visit and if any one is thinking of the penguin feeding then totally do it !
Lost count how many times I've been here. I look forward to going again and again.
Really nice day out, lots of birds to see and the site and enclosures are very clean. We came in the October half term and it was a bit busy around the food outlets but around the site plenty of room to move around. There are places to eat a picnic away from the main food outlets and plenty of benches dotted around to sit on. Food prices are pretty average for a place like this and it wasn't bad quality, we didn't try the main cafe but it did smell good so would try the next time we came back. I would recommend a visit for families of all ages. There are a few play areas for the kids to run around on.
So much to see. I visited as part of an organised school trip and all the children absolutely loved it.
Great day with kids. Lecture very well presented and kids could touch the animals. Can bring own picnic for Picnic area
Very educative to learn about birds. Very wide exhibition of birds, which we have not seen or heard before. Well maintained.
Great place to visit, been here a few times. Great range of birds and animals! Well worth visiting here!
For a young family, Birdworld is great. In addition to the many types of birds to see, you also have access to the farm and aquarium (albeit a bit small).
For families with young children, it is a nice place to go for an afternoon and a picnic. The only downside is the price, especially when in-season as you will probably only be there around 4 hours. However, I am sure it's not a cheap place to run, so the price is justified.
There is a range of things to do and see, and the new play areas are nice for the kids. I would definitely recommend going, especially in the out-of-season months when it's a bit cheaper (and a bit quieter!).
Love Birdworld - My daughter has been going on a regular basis since she was a baby. She is now 14 and guess where she wants to visit this half term.... You've got it Birdworld!!
Wonderful variety of birds and more to see than expected
Amazing family day out would definatley be returning
Absolutely brilliant as always. Perfect for my two year old grandson. We had the best day with lots of different things to do.
Great entertainment always but a bit early in the season. Many apparently empty cages.
Excellent place for kids lots to see, and the food is good and reasonably priced.
Good day out. Though due to covid situation be prepared that some shows will be closed
Nice Place to visit with children and also for Bird lovers most varieties of Birds u can encounter with ...Its a Zoo of Birds
Cant wait to go back, we all enjoyed our day out there. Fantastic staff thank you all.
Great day out for all, grand children had a lovely time
Really enjoyed Birdworld today as our first post Lockdown outing. Cafe, train and shop understandably not open but the rest of the centre is open to enjoy the birds. We had a picnic, although the kiosks are open for snacks, drinks and ice creams. Well controlled social distancing measures and great to get out for the day.
Brilliant place to take the kids and so many wonderful birds and animals to see
Great day out. Lots to see and the park is well ran.
Lovely day out. All there children thoroughly enjoyed it
Good selection of birds, some quite unusual. Newer enclosures are very nice
It was good..lots of lovely and unusual Birds..just hope the Staff sorted out the poor little Lovebird that was being picked on..
If you're after a "bird zoo", come here. It's looking a bit dated and the food isn't brilliant but it's been a good day out for the family.
A great place to spend 1/2 a day with young children.
Have to say quite disappointed this time. Haven't been for few years but we took our grandchildren today and we found it a bit tied and lacking.
If you like Birds, you'll love Birdworld!
Not all the elements were open due to COVID, but they've taken great steps to make this safe and accessible given the circumstances
We have been visiting Birdworld for over 35 years as we live locally. It's great to see it improve and grow every year
I suppose it is more for the younger generation.... not quite what i thought it would be but nice for them if not as interesting for me
Vast variety of birds and made the park bigger since I last went years ago .
My kids loved it
If you love birds, don't go. It's heartbreaking enough to see them in such very confined spaces, but when those spaces are also tatty and dirty, it's an absolute disgrace. Such poor conditions cannot be excused by low income as the entry fees charged are high.
A mostly good day out... This was not our first trip and as always we loved seeing such a wide variety of birds (who seem happy and healthy). We also loved the farm, my 2 year old was so delighted to see the chickens wondering all over the place!
The playgrounds, in our current social distancing world, were a big problem. We (and many other families)noticed and followed the rules: sanitise hands before and after, restricted numbers in at any time and 5 minute long turns. However, some people did not notice/follow these rules. This lead to a very upsetting incident for my little girl, after we'd waited more than 5 minutes at a fuller than capacity playground. The playgrounds should either be supervised by staff or closed. It would be much safer.
Good day out, maybe 2-3 hours to see all enclosures
Took the kids 3 and 5 , both really enjoyed it particularly being able to pet chickens and Turkeys
A nice day out.. Great selection of birds and well cared for. In some areas of the park you can enter the aviaries and feed the birds. Very enjoyable
Note: You can visit the adjacent Garden centre from the path around birdworld and get a nice lunch.
Love getting so close to the bids! The farm part is fab too
Fantastic place to visit, myself and my daughter had a fantastic time. The budgie walk in is amazing. Also easy to find on the number 18 bus from farnham Station.
Fantastic range of birds. Good interactivity with the animals, with mealworms and feed available at the entrance, and around the park.
Lovely Birds, and great displays. Lots of places for kids to have a play once they have seen all the animals. Very helpful, polite staff. Good access to toilets and food/drink.
My little grandson really loves this place, the birds and the fishes.
Great place to visit with lots to see. Plenty to keep the children occupied.
One of my favourite places to take the grandchildren and I look forward to going again when possible.
A good day out for all the family. Mostly outdoors, however, so if the weather is bad make sure you pack waterproofs!
A great day out. Suitable for all ages.
Well worth a visit.
Friendly nature relaxing atmosphere and the sites are just fantastic
Very enjoyable day out plenty to see even in these difficult times
The small entrance to this bird Alladin cave is very deceiving as Birdworld is gigantic. The venue stretches out and provides endless hours of fun for whole familly.
Visited with my Husband, and had a wonderful time. Lots of beautiful birds to see, and I was so excited when I discovered the Terry Pratchett area!
We came with all the family including four grandchildren to visit Santa yesterday
The grotto and Santa were lovely, at no time were we rushed. We were able to take numerous photos with no hard sell for you to buy an official one and the children received lovely gifts.
Outside in birdworld we went to the educational talks and demonstrations for the birds and owls and feeding the penguins. The young lady who did all three talks/demonstrations was excellent.
Underworld was a bit smelly and some of the tanks looked like they could do with a clean but great variety of fish on display including crocodiles!
Overall a great visit and would be nice to come back in the summer to make use of the outside play areas for the children
It's so cool lots of different birds would highly recommend it
Fantastic park, a full day out for the entire family. Food is reasonably priced and staff are friendly and helpful.
Attended the lego event at the end of the summer holiday, my son loved the lego building, I looked around whilst he was busy, then we had lunch and both explored the park together
Great place to take children. Lots to see, do and learn. Spent good few hours and plan to go again. Great gift shop. Ok little expensive but well worth the money.
