Big Y World Class Market Review

Got a realky decent party pizza with 4 toppings...been getting them for quite awhile. Downgraded the rating however since they changed from "4 toppings of your choice" to "4 toppings we've decided to pick for you". Quality of the pizza was still good but I'm not happy with the policy change. Unfortunately now will be looking for an alternative.

Very clean organized great customer service the manager john was outstanding & very pleasant!

The Big Y has everything could need to feed that happy family at home.

BigY is clean, friendly employees and have quality produce.

It's got good grinders and great fish and chips. And great price

It's a supermarket has a pharmacy a credit union and everything else a supermarket would have

This store is amazing I was in there this past Sunday June 7th and almost went into labor in their store because I'm a high risk pregnancy the store was so kind meaning the employees they walked me out to my car they put my groceries in the car customer actually followed me home to help me get ahold of my husband everybody was amazing I would not suggest going anywhere else I actually went to Walmart on Tuesday June 9th to have one of their people tell me they refuse to get me an electric cart so I could wait in their ridiculous lie I go to Big Y same day just two minutes later cuz Big Y in Walmart or right you know they're right next to each other and the girl has Big Y had no problem stopping what she was doing to help me out that shows you the compassion that Big Y hires their employees to have

Usually a great experience, but today there weren't enough check out lane open.

Lots of options for pre made food to grab and go. Pizza, seafood, sandwiches, soup, even sushi!

Great fish and chips 3 large pieces of fish and plenty of great tasting fries It's great for a quick meal

Very clean store, even the rest rooms. Employees make you feel like their your friends. I love going to the pharmacy cause the staff there knows me by my first name and that makes me feel not just great but feel important. I find the quality of their food far superior than that of the so called bargain markets. If you shop smart using digital coupons as well as manufacturers coupons as well as buying products that are on sale you can do as well or if not better than these bargain outlets.
And the there's getting .25 off a gallon gas isn't to shabby either.
Go Big Y for you next Patriot game this weekend.

This is not the first time I will buy cards from the store and before I get home and use the card it already used I wonder if they load the card to there personal account during the activation it all messed I lost my $200 dollar google play card yesterday I contacted google they told to contact the retailer that sold the card for me that they know what to do so I am very sure the card was used by the person who activate it but in other aspect they are good about groceries and attendance

Had a wonderful time shopping found everything I was looking for prices were a little more than I usually pay but what do you expect from an excellent supermarket

last day to use your gold coins , it's sad and will be missed to save on groceries cost for those of us on a budget.

Went to get paper towels there were none. Bought Snowflake rolls and eggs., stood in line for 25mins only 4 registers open

Wide aisle ways so there is room to shop. Staff is always pleasant. Better variety of homemade donuts at the Ludlow Big Y versus the Chicopee Big Y.

The staff at the Chicopee location is always helpful and friendly. The seafood department is fantastic. Always my go to.

Love to go at big Y. Variety of food, clean store, nice staff. The cost a bit more than stop n shop but a lot more inviting. It smell good too!

SERVICE. That's what your paying for, and you pay a premium on many items for that service. But, that's why you go there, because they will treat you right & won't give you bs if you need help or a refund. If your just looking for a good price, go to aldi or price right. But you can actually get a few deals you won't see anywhere else, particularly with their buy one get ones or buy one get twos. So shop smart & your wallet will leave happy to. The other big S word?

SEAFOOD. In my opinion, the other best reason to come here. Their fish and chips are made from never frozen, hand dipped, haddock or pollock (pick your preference) and the case is filled with any great choices. Some of my favorites are the seafood salad (trust me, I don't like seafood salad or crab but I LOVE this), bourbon salmon portions, stuffed scallops, and tilapia (Tuesdays people! Come on and get it when it's cheap!). The scallops often go on sale for buy one get two as well (stuffed anyway) & you just can't beat their wacky wacky weekend sales for lobster and deal$$$$$.

Big Y, has some of the best deal a rewards program around.

Great place to shop sales. Pizza is good and not expensive. Not a place I would recommend doing all your grocery shopping at, too expensive.

Like to come in after work get my groceries and is nice and quiet in the morning.

It's a good super market, it's local so they sell locally grown produce which is important to me.

Clean floor and organized rest room close by and clean but to prices are to high (over priced)

Nice Store, Employees are always polite and helpful, fresh fruits, produce and bakery products, everything is always stocked. Nice extra large stuffed animals currently for sale for the holiday season.

I really like this Big Y, but the customer service has gone way down. Cashier Kathy is always unfriendly, never saying a word throughout the entire transaction. We all have off days, but it's not just once. It's every time. And people wonder why we opt to go to places that offer self checkout.

Close to home ,their staff one word INCREDIBLE.Always friendly,helpful and courteous.I love they have a digi App and receive great offers from manufacturers as well as BIG Y. Coupons can be printed or saved to your card through your PC.Totally love that option.The store is always well stocked for the most part,I wish their self help bakery was stocked with more options later in the day.
They always ask if I need help with grocierie to my car,they noticed my hardship with walking.It feels great they would go the extra mile.

Unmasked employee killing time with a masked employee who was wiping down shopping carts outside the store. Unmasked employee would casually hang onto the cart handles while chit-chatting with the employee trying to do his job. I approached the unmasked person to point out the danger of being unmasked and handling carts that were just cleaned. Didn't seem to matter. I reported it th "management" who headed outside to hopefully educate the employee.

They had everything I needed and plenty of people working the registers.

Visited the store in need of services to send western union money oversees. The store clerk attending westernunion was abresive, un curious, inept, was not very knowlegeable and had no customer skills at all. Made me feel like Massachusetts is the pits of the. USA. Never going back in to a Big Y store nasties people by far I have ever encounter.... To their benefit, it must be said that the state is not a nice place at all. This is a stateaway from it state...... People are nasty as hell. Very crapy side of the union..

Very nice store but the prices are unbelievable. Over $10 for a whole chicken? 5.99 for a punt of strawberries? One navel orange is almost the cost of a pack of them at Hannaford, and I feel Hannaford is a higher quality store. At first look the card deals and twofers are great until you realize the cost of the but one is more expensive than 2 @ another market. Just incredible what they're getting away with.
