I went in to use the bank . It was closed that'd the aldenville credit union. They are the bank that the big y has let rent in its local. They are supposed to be open 7 days a week they have c hanged their hours down to nothing a couple days a week and onl tu a few hours . May as well not even be there.

Good experience there tonight, I'm was shopping for , found pretty good deal and the guys there help me out to wrap them up nicely, thanks

I also ended up buying a beautiful jasmine plant

I really wanted to give this review four or five stars; since I have had many years of great experiences here. However, I have noticed over the past couple years, that things are slowly slipping, causing me to shop elsewhere, more often. This is a very clean store! It is obvious upon entering, that management takes pride in the condition of the property! The place is sparkling clean, and I like that! I will also say, that the majority of the staff is very friendly and helpful. The one exception, being the meat department, where I am met with lots of attitude whenever I have a question or request, and I don t appreciate it, AT ALL (- 1 star)! The store manager here is VERY friendly, and her own personal customer service skills are truly extraordinary! I m hoping some of that starts rubbing off on the meat department staff! Big Y sales promotions lately, are terrible! I realize that this is more reflective of the company as a whole, and may be more of a corporate issue, than an issue about this particular location, but since this is the location I frequent the most, I can t ignore it! The span of time, between sales on certain products seems to be increasing, sometimes you have to wait four or five weeks before items go on sale again, when that gap used to be much shorter! This is due to their new lower pricing strategy, I m sure! The issue is, that the lower price on certain items, is not nearly as low as the sale price of that item, when it finally does go on sale. So, by widening the span between an item going on sale, they ve got you buying it at a higher price, more often, despite touting their lower price savings . Also, entire categories of food, such as cheeses or sour cream, or tuna, or ketchup, etc., have weeks where not one brand is on sale! In the past, they would have at least one, maybe two brands within a food category on sale. Example: if Starkist Tuna wasn t on sale that week, Bumble Bee or Big Y brand would be, so at least you could get some brand of tuna on sale, with the new sales/pricing strategy, some weeks you look at the tuna section, and NO brands are on sale! The same goes for cheeses in the dairy section, etc. They have also cut many name brand flavors, sizes, and varieties of certain products that are still being manufactured, to make more shelf space for comparable Big Y brand items. I m seeing less and less space dedicated to the full range of product offerings of certain name brands. It s frustrating, because sometimes you want a smaller size of a particular item, that you still CAN find at a competitor, but it s not available at Big Y. An example is Cream of Wheat Original cereal. They used to have two sizes, at Big Y now, you can only get the larger size, but other stores and online, still have the smaller size box available. They are forcing you to spend more, on an item, by not offering the smaller size. I always liked to get ALL of my grocery shopping done at once, at Big Y, but now, with all of these changes, I have to make several stops, at their competition, to get the items they no longer choose to carry (-1 star).

I hada cashier who was allergic to dogs and I had my service dog with me and she made a comment about a great now it's starting and I and she said I'm allergic and I said I'm sorry and she said yeah right you are. And then she just kept running her mouth about people who take animals on the planes as service or companion pets and snakes and other animals and she just the whole time she was ringing me out that's all she did was ran her mouth and put my anxiety over the roof that now I don't even want to go into any stores with my service dog. cashiers have opinion about this stuff they need to keep their mouth shut and not be running their mouth that people.

Their hot soup,as usual very good. They'll plastic wrap your soup container no charge.

I'm from Florida. Originally from Massachusetts. Publix is the number 1 store in the world for customer service and there stores are spotless. After shopping at Publix any other stores are so lower in standards. You should have management go to Florida and check them out.

Workers are friendly and helpful I go there at least 4 times a week

I can fine all my item I need and for a good price......people are nice that work there keep it up I'll be back to shop soon....ty

Boy Y are always clean. Staff very friendly. I really like the fact that most of their produce is from local farms whenever possible.

Shop was fine, clientele continues to ignore COVID-19 safety signage, and the staff can only really manage the store, not their customers.

They are all about customer service. My bag broke and my tomatoes fell on the ground and right away they helped me and gave me a new container! Thank you to the customer that helped me and the cashier much appreciated from my three kids and I.

Poor butcher shop/meat selection. International food items hard to find and not much selection. Rather disappointing compared to other big y locations

Just ran in to get some food and lady in register 1 was very rude. No how you doing or welcome to big y. No word so whatever not a big deal but when she gave my receipt, she just threw it at me fell to the ground and didnt even say sorry. What the hell was wrong with her. I think she just judge me cause im ethnic. Wow cant believe those people still exist. Management really got to train these people better in customer service. Really thinking of not stopping here anymore.

Great supermarket wide variety of outstanding produce, and you can also get a bite to eat, fish and chips amazing my favorite & delicious pizza.

This store is so nice that even the bathrooms are nice. It was clean, and I didn't feel grossed out using it.

A bit pricey, but we'll maintained. You can get almost anything you heart desires, you taste buds, & you tummy wants.

Big Y is overall a great supermarket. Good quality food. Nice, clean space and the staff is always super helpful and polite. I swear the people who shop here are even happy and sweet. They have a good selection of already prepared food and bakery items. Yum.

Prices sure went up for most items. Must be making up for earlier losses due to covid. Isn't that the new thing???

Love it Here It Always Has What I Need & Verry Friendly People Most Of Them The One I Go To

The price and selection of the grocery items is pretty terrible compared to what they were years ago and to other stores in the area are offering today but the grinder, pizza and seafood area in back does offer a quick meal for not too bad a price. Which is the only reason I usually go there.

I love shopping here, very clean and organized. And their brown sugar ham is the best.

So nice to go shopping in a nice clean well stocked market. Friendly helpful employees.

I go every day for lunch. No fresh pizza wing bar was empty and the express lane had like 8 people in line and no offense meant to cashier but the slowest cashier was Manning the express lane. I have hall hour for lunch and almost 20 was in line to buy a soda and a couple bakery items. South Hadley big y is much better

Always love going there. Great selection of food, great produce. They always have enough staff to help bag the groceries which is not the case at the big y in South Hadley.

I find that their meat counter has a small selection compared to the South Hadley big y that is only another 5min down the road.
