Just took their MSF course and it was absolutely amazing. Mike and Ken are both very knowledgeable and make the class fun. They made sure we stayed safe on the range and overall I walked out with a lot more experience. Thanks a lot guys your help is greatly appreciated. I ll def swing by more often as their parts dept and sales is great as well. Lots of options from bikes to gear. -Harry Patrick
My favorite Harley shop! Staff is wonderful and the bikes of course are B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!
Awesome experience! Much better than the last HD dealership I purchased a bike through. Best buying experience ever!
Brought my motorcycle in to the shop because the right side speaker would cut out at high volume, I have an amp and speakers that I installed in the bike after it started acting up. It was still doing it after I installed another amp and speakers. First amp was in it for 3 years and worked perfectly. I am a mechanic with 20 plus years experience and brought it to big barn as I had an extended warranty. The radio was clearly the issue. Long story short after 5 phone calls and arguing about the issue they said they couldn't fix my bike, told me to take it to a car stereo shop, and charged me 115 for doing nothing. Now I'm stuck having a broken radio and my warranty is gone. I wouldn't trust or recommend them for any service, parts, or sales. The parts guys get me the wrong parts most of the time,. If they even remember to order my parts. Couldn't get the right color tour pak with my vin number that was in the computer because I bought it there, .I will be driving an extra 30 min to any dealer but big barn Harley, I would steer clear of there.
Teamwork. From sales to service, parts and Motorclothes, and the finance team, the people of Big Barn Harley-Davidson really work together to make sure the customer feels respected, appreciated and valued. I recently purchased a CVO Road Glide after changing my mind several times about bike model and whether to buy used or new. They were patient, answered all of my questions, and were interested in me making the best decision for my riding style and spending limit. I have traveled all over the country and can say Big Barn is among the top dealerships I ve visited. Highly recommend you visit on your way through Des Moines, or if your local dealer isn t treating you right on a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
By all my parley perched there and Terry at the service counters great person to work with
Bought a 2016 Roadking today. Our salesman Travis was great to work with, over all a great experience. Probably be spending too much time and money there in the future !
Nice people in the service and appeal departments. Private owner so no points like most Harley dealers.
Very cool Harley stop. Huge. They also happened to be having an event going on when I stopped so that was a plus.
The usual Harley stuff. I like it but am getting tired of the high prices for Chinese made stuff.
Do u guys teach how to ride a motorcycle and i never learn how to drive a clutch but can i used a automatic motorcycle bike
Great Staff - Fun place to learn how to ride. Great instructors!
A very nice Harley Davidson shop. They had a great selection.
Large, well stocked apparel selection. Girls at the counter were super friendly!
Great Harley place to visit! Nice people working there, cool atmosphere and very clean
Friendly knowledgeable staff. Rode down a few hours just for a poker chip. Neat little store.
I was given a lowball offer for my trade in. Got $2400 more at Heartland Harley Davidson. The sales manager was super pushy and didn't answer any questions I asked via email. Instead he attempted to make me call him for answers. Again, Heartland answered questions the way it was convenient for me and gave an appropriate trade offer. I would not buy a bike from the Big Barn in the future.
It was awesome lots of bikes boxing t-shirts got some poker chips me and my son loved it
Great place, huge clothing selection. Prices are very high for what you get in clothing, but of course you're paying for the brand and people are willing to pay it.
Bought a brand new bike here and the customer service was amazing. If you are looking for a new/used Harley ask for Eric Stabenow! He took great care of me and my family when we were in and would highly recommend him and Big Barn to anyone!!!
Spent nearly an hour discussing the 'pros' of the upgrade with the staff. Thought the engineering was impressive, though rather expensive.
Very nice Harley store.pleasant sales people.lots of shirts in a huge variety of colors and sizes
Great atmosphere and help around every corner. Cheers to you! Ride safe.
Stopped in on a busy day heading to Sturgis with a low tire they checked everything out completely and thoroughly fixed me up got me on the road and didn't charge me a dime it was great service and a great experience.
Great service. Have a good experience every time I go there.
Like the barn look. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would go back
Nice shop but way overpriced on aceeories snd clothing
My husband just bought his first Harley, they were very helpful and I would definitely recommend this store.
A great place to browse or buy a motorcycle. All the people are so friendly.
Nick Davenport as well as the others are all great. If you are in the market for a bike give Nick a chance..
I'm a Harley rider, so this place is a must visit every time I'm in Des Moines. Very nice store.
Very Nice well stocked dealership. Staff is very friendly and helpful. While traveling I stopped in for a service. They got me right in even though they were extremely busy. I appreciate that they got me back on the road so quickly.
Nice place! Oddly enough, no one approached me about buying a bike, maybe middle of the day during the week not a time to shop. Nice selection of apparel and accessories and full retail. Very willing, and helpful clothing associates!
Had a very stress free experience from the friendly staff while purchasing our Harley!!
You can receive orders online sooner than ordering at the store. My husband placed an order in December he called in January they said they would check and call back. It was a week later when they called and said it would be the end of February and it was not Big barn fault. They blamed the company they order from. They did not take any responsibility.
Great people, great service, awsome merchandise and sales people. Love my Barn.
I drove by and saw that they had live music I stopped and everybody was friendly even though I was not on the motorcycle I was in my truck. A lot of bikes to see and certainly seems like the price in Des Moines to buy a Harley... Thanks
Excellent service here. Nick handled the sale of my new street glide and was patient and courteous. Went back a month later and the guys did an outstanding job installing my tour pak. Would definitely recommended this dealership.
Friendly people. Good slection of merchandise. Prices aren't to bad depending on what you want but it is Harley Davidson
Was at their Christmas, had a great time and enjoyed the carolers!!
Excellent customer service, staff was very helpful.
Been a customer of Big Barn Harley Davidson since it changed its name from Zook's.
Lost my business. I was negotiating the trade of my Sportster for a new one from the Barn. While doing so, I bought a helmet to surprise my wife, as she needed a new one. I bought a small, but found out that she needed an extra small. I tried to exchange it (never worn) when I returned to finish negotiating on the new bike. They told me "no returns on helmets". I explained it was just a size issue and I had just bought it the day before. They refused to exchange the helmet for an XS. Needless to say, they lost the sale of a new Harley over a helmet. Bad business. (I purchased a new Sportster in Iowa City and they exchanged the helmet for me)
My first time there, one half hour before closing, and what do you know, the clutch desperately needed adjusting! Great service is all I can say!! Half an hour later or less and our group was back on the road with what I can only guess was a Veteran's discount..... No charge!! Absolutely wonderful place!!
Drove by didn't get the chance to go in. That's all I could say so far.
I have too much negativity to even start on this place. I only went there because I like to look. I wouldn't buy a darn thing from these guys!
The place was okay. Friendly, helpful staff but not pushy and not high pressure.
walked around for about 20 min and no one gave me the time of day
It was great. Dave in parts is the best. I have a costom an have trouble getting parts for it. But Dave gets me set up everytime.
Harley-Davidson buying think about that anything else needs to be said. Great clothes great bites
Not one person asked if we needed helped and the prices seemed even higher than most Harley places.
Went in to get price on 1000 Mile service, $348. Asked the guy at the service counter if it voids the warranty, response was yes (it doesn't). I left it at that. As long as the work is done properly, and the quality of the workmanship is not the cause of the failure your damn right my warranty still applies. So $348 dollars, $110 in parts + $238 in labor. Keep in mind I paid mark up on parts typically 30-70 percent. I know whats involved in the service, I know how important it actually is. I kinda expected this response based on friends and co-workers past experiences with their service department.
More upset with the fact that the guy at the service counter didn't seem to care anymore once I asked that question, I mean seriously you think the mechanics in that shop care more about my bike than me? Get real.
On the plus side their parts guys are awesome, got me what I needed in and out fast.
"The Magnusson-Moss act protects
the consumer to the extent that a warranty repair can
only be denied to you if the company can prove beyond
a doubt that whatever you did (or failed to do, be it mods
or maintenance), directly resulted in the failure to your bike."
Had my parts waiting for me at the park desk gave me more time to look around at the bikes and see which one's going to fit me best
This place is pretty good. If you're into HD, you're going have fun shopping here as you might imagine. Worth stopping by if you've never been.
If you guys are supporting Donald Trump you are, in my opinion, helping end jobs where anyone will be able to afford a Harley. You got a lot of bad press this weekend supporting the people who have crushed the middle class, the same people who have bought Harleys for years.
I love Harley-Davidsons cuz one day I am going to have me a Harley Davidson and I love going to Harley-Davidson Big Barn
Awesome place and great friendly employees. Will definitely be back
very nice, huge clothing section. very professional. one of nicest ones ever. been in.
Great folks, good time's. Buy a bike you'll never regret it
Staff is pleasant and not pushy, they will answer any questions you have and are very knowledgeable at that. They understand that a motorcycle is an investment and they treat it as such.
Very friendly staff, sales people are knowledgeable, tour of the whole place was wonderful.
I only used them to rent a pair of HD Streetglides. The guy who helped was awesome and explained everything very carefully and in detail. We had a great experience there with the rental.
It was great! Criss, Dave everyone i came in contact with was friendly and very professional. Would highly recommend them to anyone buying a bike.
I have always had a good experience with Big Barn, but my salesman, Travis, was extremely helpful and great to work with on the purchase of my new bike!
I have dealt with thier overly pushy sales staff a couple times without ever having bought a bike but ultimately bought one at Route 65 HD instead due to thier sales tactics. I have also been in there on several occasions for parts to only be ignored by thier parts people for up to 20 minutes without fail, every time. Recently I went in to buy something from apparel on my lunch break as a Christmas gift, the place was dead obviously as its winter time, on a Wednesday, in a bike dealerhsip. The young woman who assisted me could not make it more clear that my presence was just an inconvenience to her. This really sucks as I live near the barn and they are only HD dealer in town. Unfortunately to get decent service I have to make the 30 minute drive to Route 65. How these jerks are still in business is beyond me.
