Easy to get to, nice conference rooms, but very cold!
Courteous staff, very nice breakfast included. Does need some updating, but affordable accommodations
The Best Western in Marlborough was a little tricky to find, once I turned off of the highway. But going back would be a piece of cake, because it truly is right off of Rte. 495. Function room was spacious and set up beautifully. It was easy to hear the speakers (because the sound system was crystal clear). Bathrooms were well stocked and clean. And the buffet lunch was absolutely delicious!!!
The crew at the all Star bar and grill were absolutely awesome especially Laurel and Oscar. After checking in late they made me a meal after hours and couldn't have been more accommodating. This level of service persisted throughout my stay.
Nice sized, updated room (double Queens). Pretty good, hot breakfast and nice staff also.
Always love staying at Best Western--I've NEVER been disappointed!
Clean room with full amenities. Staff is great. Breakfast is excellent. Restaurant food and service are good.
Obscure locations you are liable to miss without a GPS. But nice enough inside.
This place is a complete dead zone. Probably due to corona but I dont plan on coming back even if..
I went to the Best Western for a small conference for an association I'm involved with. It's nothing fancy but the staff was nice.
Spectacular staff, clean rooms, indoor pool for the family, great breakfast, restaurant, food services.. the management & full staff are completely dedicated to the customer.. This is a truly wonderful hotel..
PERSONALLY, I HAVE BEEN DRIVING TRACTOR-TRAILERS FOR 28YRS. & HAVE STAYED AT MANY HOTELS,--AND ONE OF THE BEST NIGHTS REST WAS SPENT AT THIS LOCATION//AND THE BREAKFAST WAS THE BEST I EVER HAD...THANX VERY MUCH!!!
Excellent Breakfast. Superb choices, presentation and quality. Entire hotel is smoke free. Even the employees did not smell of cigarettes. Pool is great. Low water level for the kids to play safely. Restaurant/Lounge was awesome. Food is top shelf and service was equally first rate. No complaints for our December 2018 Holiday stay.
Not a bad hotel. If you do not go in expecting much you will be pleasantly suprised.
Situated in a quiet area outside of Boston. With short access to many restaurants and shopping places .a lot of free parking area. The staff are all friendly and attentive.Breakfast is above average.only the decoration is a little bit outdated;could be better. Thank you all
Was there working at a chiropractor event for chair massage and very happy with the event coordination. Very helpful and attentive.
Hotel in need of MAJOR renovations. There is one restaurant and the service and food are terrible. Without a major overhaul, would never stay here again. There are many hotels within a mile of this one. Any others would be better!
Hotel was nice and the staff was wonderful. Would recommend this hotel especially for group travel. We were traveling with our soccer team and they were so great to us.
Needs a renovation but very good service and great food!
Went to to the fly-fishing show and the venue was wasted great. Seminars were in the hotel and a shuttle bus washed provided if you didn't want want to to walk.
Clean, comfortable. A great night sleep. Breakfast buffet was excellent. One of the best we've encountered.
Nice balroom that worked well for the function I attended.
The hotel has all redone rooms, which makes the stay very pleasant.
Very clean , and very helpful staff and following rules for covid-19 very strict on that lots of parking space too
Pillows are uncomfortable and heater is loud. Made for a tough nights sleep. Otherwise, not a bad visit. The hotel bar is odd, no real theme, lots of knick knacks and the beer was flat.
The rooms were clean and bed were extremely comfortable.
Absolutely horrible. Front desk men were rude and unhelpful, pool was closed the whole time, the ice machine on the 5th floor didn't work, door handles were broken, half of the games in the game room didn't work, elevators were slow and only 2 of them worked, drunk people were running around being disruptful, spilling beer on other guests, and bothering and teasing my 8 year old brother. Will NEVER stay here again! Absolutely UNacceptable. Wish I could rate 0/5.
This hotel is our "go to" when we visit family in the Sudbury area. It is comfortable, quiet, and clean. As Best Western members, we got a great rate. A little disappointed with the bar/grill, but breakfast at Zachary's is great!
This was absolutely one of the worst hotel stays. For the cost of this hotel room I expected more. The staff was not accommodating, housekeeping was poor, the one restaurant service was slow, check out was awful, there were children running up and down the hallways all weekend all hours of the day and the beds were very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Clean and good service, except the guy at check-in was not the most friendly
Very large facility so chances of getting in good. Four elevators to upper floors make trip with minimum waiting. Off the road makes to all rooms quiet. Expense not killing.
Cleanliness, accommodations and staff are rock solid. The restaurant pricing and lack of even one vegan option forced me to get outside food all convention long. That costs a star.
The hotel was wonderful. It was very clean and the areas I went to were spacious and well designed.
Looks cool place to hang out. Went for a karate tournament there.
I stay at this Hotel every year in February for TotalCon. Usually, I have nothing but nice things to say about my stay, but this year was an unfortunate exception.
For whatever reason, the food was not good, and the staff in the restaurant we're rude to me and my friends. I wouldn't post for one or two isolated incidents, but I have heard from multiple people that this has been an issue.
I hope the management can get this sorted, because like I said, this is normally a great place to stay with friendly staff.
Love it, near multiple stores. Very well located, from all the Best Western I had stayed this breakfast buffet was the best one and the staff was very good.
The location was easy to find. The meeting room was nice staff was good overall had a great two day workshop.
Great service! The waitresses in all star are very sweet and friendly.
I went there for a veterinary conference and it was very nice.
Incredible location for my business trip.
Everything the about the hotel was beyond my
expectations. I will stay there again and book my
reservations at other Best Western Royal Plaza Hotels
in future business and vacation trips. A refreshing change
from other chains I've stayed at.
Big beautiful place. Reasonable price. Very clean and friendly staff with breakfast. The only reason not a five star is an extra 25$ hold for incidents I didn't see advertised online and it takes 3 days to be put back yuck in a location that's crazy expensive anyways.
Rooms were comfy and large, a good deal. Standard modem amenities tho it didn't have a microwave.
Run down and not updated EVER! Looks like I stepped back to 1985!
Hotel staff are very friendly and attentive! The room I stayed in was very clean and well stocked with over night essentials, like pillows, blankets, towels. When I ordered room service, the food was excellent and fresh! I also think the hotel was designed very nicely! I would recommend and stay again !!
This Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel & Trade Center aims to provide a pleasant and relaxing experience. The accommodations are tasteful and comfortable. A few amenities are in need of an update/refresh in the bathroom. The staff is most helpful and make you feel at home.
Great Hotel for A Reasonable Rate. Breakfast was one of the best. A joy to stay here.
This convention center is not posh. The service at the restaurant is slow. The surroundings are tired. The convention center is not connected to the hotel. You need to go back and forth between the expo building and the hotel with the meeting rooms. It is quite inconvenient.
Overall, pretty solid spot. Was not here for very long just had a conference I went to. Staff was very friendly. One word of caution is that the hotel is pretty far back off the road behind a strip mall. Depending on the direction you are driving (Hotel will be on right) you have to drive past the hotel to an access road.
Attended a comic book convention at the hotel. Hotel staff were pleasant and friendly. Facility was neat and clean
Staying here for work. Pet friendly. $25/night with $100 maximum. This is not a typical Best Western. It's a large conference center with two restaurants and on site car rental. Rooms are nice with microwave and refrigerator. There's a shopping center not too far away. It's near embassy suites and Hampton inn. The staff has been very polite so far. I did find one strand of hair on my bed but the room and bathroom were clean otherwise. The beds have small square pillows that are the size of throw pillows. I wish they had standard sized pillows. I will update this review after my stay. I should be here four weeks.
Update: I had a great stay!
Comfy beds and clean room however not a good experience when the fire alarm went off at 5 AM, had to wait outside for 1 hour in the cold in my PJ's and they offered us a later checkout for compensation... won't be staying there again.
Professional space was ample and accommodating for my company's needs.
This place needs to be updated. The hygiene is not their main focus. Dusty blinds, dirty vending machine, and the bathroom was might be wiped with water only. $140 per night on a Thursday in February? I believed is over priced.
Decent hotel, nice location. They couldn't serve dinner on a Friday night when the hotel was full. They had one sitting the entire night. We were told that the kitchen was overwhelmed with orders (no kidding!) and the food manager ordered his waiting staff not to accept any guests to the dinning room after 8pm. We waited for 50 minutes before giving up with the athletes who had to have dinner and go to bed early to be prepared for next day.
Amazing service and very nice and clean room. You can tell it was well taken care of as soon as you walked into the place. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful. Checked in last night at midnight, he was very nice. Checked out this morning at 5:45am and he still had the same humble attitude. Provided coffee and etc. Definitely recommend for others to come here, especially for first responders like me who just need a nice room to sleep in for the night. The rate was good too for the night. Thank you!
Great hotel that's affordable and clean. I've been here for conventions and the parking is usually adequate. I like that there is a separate space for functions next door
Good quality hotel, there were issues getting the correct room because they were also accommodating a large class of high schoolers at a Skills USA competition. The elevators were slow too, and the volume of people meant you had to wait for a minute or more sometimes to get one. However, overall the experience was good and the room was very nice. I also enjoyed the lobby with onsite restaurant and bar. This was a solid hotel and would use again and recommend to others.
went to a board game convention here. Not huge, but big enough where it didn't feel too crowded. Didn't stay in the room, but went up with a friend. Looked comfortable.
The resteraunt was clean and the service wad good.Food was also very good.Rooms at the event were very nice.
Great staff, Great breakfast, very clean Hotel will stay again
I came here with my husband! Absolutely amazing place... On the pricey side for sure, but well worth the price if you take advantage of the available amenities they offer!
Great vendors, great people to meet. From crystals to intuitive readers, health products, unique gifts
Rooms are very dated. No fridge, no microwave. Theres water damage all over the lobby. The whole place comes off as gross and cheap. Tips are expected at the serve yourself breakfast, so count that into the price if you need to. WiFi is free and decent, heating and AC is good.
Clean conference space, cool lemon water and mint at every table.
Stayed 6 nights while attending a convention.
The staff, in particular the restaurant staff were friendly and attentive.
The room was large and comfortable. Internet worked great.
It is also close enough to walk to restaurants, grocery store.
Sometimes it was cool in the rooms used for seminars but we had been advised to bring a sweater, which I did so not a big deal.
The making is old, but the room is large and quiet.
Important item was good equipped properly to stay
Convenient to convention center. Shuttles were excellent. Outside could use some work but clean inside. Staff in lounge are spectacular!
The staff was wonderful. Rooms were clean and inviting. The breakfast was fabulous. There are plenty of stores, food and entertainment within walkin distance of the hotel. This will be our hotel of choice when in this area.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed. Came in the morning to check in, but was told the room is not ready that is being cleaned. I came back after work around 11pm to check-in, was giving a room, only for me to get to the room and found it was a dirty room that has not be cleaned. I called the front desk and was told someone is coming up and they will put me in another room. The cleaner came up and told the manager the room is filthy and was never cleaned. When I asked for the new room, I was told there is no room, so I have to stand outside on the hallway for another 20 to 30 mins for the room to be cleaned before I can go in it.
