Totalcon games convention. They did better with refilling water this year but there is still room for improvement.

Poor food selection and poor beer selection. So need to leave to get food from abundant local places.

This place is a dump!! The hotel is worn and in desperate need of maintenance. The hotel staff can take your reservation, but when you arrive to check in, they undoubtedly have it wrong. We reserved two connecting rooms, one with two doubles and one with a king. When we arrived, all they could give us were two rooms, several doors apart, with two beds in each. The "free" breakfast is a joke. The first day we got there, the place looked like a war zone. No fruit, no eggs, no yogurt, no bowls! The staff was clearly stressed beyond belief. I think they overbook this hotel beyond the staff needs and the staff just wears down. I don't have any confirmation of this, but I do think that there is low income/no income housing on the second floor. This makes for a very chaotic environment, little kids running around all over the hotel and lots of smoking outside the front door. I do think this should be disclosed to anyone reserving a room. I will do my best to avoid this hotel in the future - definitely not worth the $150+ per night that we paid.

Breakfast was not included in my group rate, very disappointing. Came back to room at 3pm, and had to call to ask for towels, etc. Room was never cleaned. Check in is later than I am used to, 4pm. Would have been nice if this would have been earlier since our group activities started before 4pm on the first day.

The trade center was spacious and had ample number of restrooms that were located at each corner. We were just attending a trade fair and not staying at the hotel, but I can see that although the trade center is not attached to the hotel, it is walking distance from it.

Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel & Trade Center is a wonderful place to host your convention, Trade Show, large gathering or wedding. They are professional, and know what they are doing, and do it well. I wouldn't recommend it for a quiet couple's retreat. It is definitely very busy all the time. Numerous events going on at once. The rooms are newly renovated, and the beds are super comfortable. The staff assisting with events and in lounge and Breakfast restaurant are the best I have seen in my travels. Friendly, happy faces in the early morning, is such a nice way to begin the day. And the food was hot and fresh. Our banquet was orchestrated perfectly, and that menu was also very tasty. I look forward to my return next year. It's been mostly the same employees for as long as I can remember, and they remember me each year. How nice is that?

very poor experience at the hotel at a recent convention. The room was not in great repair (the bathroom door didn't latch, the main door required force to close/latch, the A/C unit performed miserably). The service I experienced one night in the pub made me never want to go back, the continental breakfast was messy and the choices poor - a really poor experience this time around.

I was there for a two day conference. My room was clean. The facility has lots of conference rooms. The vendors were set up in the lobby which was loud and crowded. The meals were fine. The elevators had the loudest elevator music I have ever heard. The staff was very accommodating.

Overall was a very good stay, they had a problem with hot water , and it was fixed...anything we asked for they were attuned to and helpful....a few things were out of the hotels control....Jeff at Zacharys restaurant in the breakfast buffet was outstanding server , very accommodating and pleasant employee, a gem!

I have stayed here multiple times over the past few months and it has always been clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff are friendly and courteous and I have no complaints about the interactions I have had with everyone from the front desk to housekeeping.

The rates are the best I can find within a 20 mile radius of Marlborough for a hotel of this caliber. Every room has a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker which makes it extra comfortable when staying for a week or two, as I have done. The beds are surprisingly comfortable and the pillows, too. Normally I wake up with an aching back and stiff neck when I stay in hotels, but that has never been a problem here.

The highlight for me is having the Felton Conservation area right behind the hotel. I have spent a fair amount of time wandering along the paths and through the fields that make up this hidden gem, it is quite beautiful and a perfect place to stretch my legs and get some fresh air.

We got a suite at the hotel to be a gathering place for a family funeral. Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to help us, brought in extra chairs, let us keep the extra food in the restaurant refrigerator and were so kind to us all. The suite was perfect for our needs. The only reason I didn't give a higher score - they need a major renovation.
