AVOID!!! This insurance company is also used by Debenhams, which we thought was a well respected brand. DO NOT purchase. The worst experience I have ever had trying to make a claim. My husband's mother passed away unexpectedly 2 weeks before we were due to go on holiday. They WILL find any reason they can not to pay out. Including a non-insured family member being on prescribed medication. We learned the hard way. Don't do it.

I wise I could give this company no stars my claim has been dragging on for more then 3 months now. Originally this was rock insurance. There have been made very important typos and they do not keep them self to there own policy. Avoided this company by all means.

Wish I had read reviews before I bought insurance from these robbers! I was hospitalised 3 days before a holiday, and still in on start, advised by hospital to cancel due to illness, so made a claim. 8 months later and i dont have a penny from this company, despite supplying all receipts etc. They want so much extra proof from all the hotels and flights i booked for my far east holiday, that is not possible to get due to language and the lapse of time. They asked for it 3 to 5 months later!!
Avoid like the plague!

Wish I'd read the reviews of this company 1st!
Claim has been dragging on 5months after claiming of cancelling our holiday due to a family illness and unfortunately a loss of my father in law.
The company have put my mother in law through hell to get all the necessary paperwork etc they needed for the claim, for her to revisit this situation on a regular basis has been heartbreaking and they have still not called and refused our claim.
Please boycott this company before your financial situation and personal relationships are damaged!

Terrible insurance company, take forever to process documents and respond, took months to be told they were not going to compensate me for injuries on a ski trip. AVOID THIS COMPANY, they are horrendous and a waste of money.

Seriously unimpressed with this company, they have been sitting on my claim for nearly 3 months now & seem very reluctant to part with any money. I have submitted all the evidence they requested for a very straightforward claim, so there has been no reason for it to take this long to process my claim.

These are the claims department for Debenham's travel insurance. I made a claim on my return from holiday beginning of Sept 2017 and claim still going through mid November 2017. They claimed they didn't receive my first lot paperwork even though an email confirmed that they had, then claimed they were so busy and it was taking longer than expected. I have been calling them frequently and they have said they would escalate my claim which is a load of c**p. Would never use Debenhams again and will be checking that this company isn't part of another when i buy my next lot of travel insurance. They are absolutely horrendous and should not be allowed to get away with it.

Turns out if you're flight is diverted and you lose your first night and arrive hours after you were meant to you're not covered. Travel delay is only covered if your flight take off is delayed not a delay of the rest of the journey.

Made a claim in April 2017. It is now June 2017. We haven't received any acknowledgment from them at all. Called them twice only to be told both times that it's a very busy time of year and that someone will be in touch within a week. Still no correspondence. We have been informed that the guy dealing with our claim doesn't speak to customers!! Really?? Is this how a professional business is run. We have 1 years insurance with this company and have another trip organised however we are quite concerned as to whether this company are who they say they are. Should have stayed with The Post Office. You only get what you pay for and in this instance we have got exactly that. Very, very poor service. Stay clear.

Following a medical emergency in Spain, we were taken care of extremely well by this company. All of the staff that I talked to on the telephone were professional and personable. The telephone was always answered quickly by the medical emerhency team. They arranged for my husband to be flown home to Scotland by air ambulance. Once insurance cover had been confirmed, they took care of absolutely every arrangement very quickly. It was a ward to ward service from the air ambulance team they had appointed. So thank you very much to all the staff involved. Very sorry for the people in previous negative reviews, but that wasn't our experience.

Very unprofessional attitude. If you are insured with by this company and trying to put through a claim then make sure you call them and ask for the updates otherwise they won't bother. People who answer your calls are unbelievably rude and don't deserve their jobs in service sector.

It's easy to read these complaints and believe these are just people upset about being hard done by. However you really really must avoid this company at all costs.

I broke my ankle in Cambodia, and while they covered the medical expenses they refused to cover the entire cost of my flight home using vague policy points to justify their decision. They also didn't manage to arrange a flight home before my visa expired which resulted in me having to arrange my own way to Bangkok via bus (it took 16 hours).

Was delayed overnight and informed by Global Response that Return flights are not insured, only outward flights. At no time was I told this and no mention of it in T&C. Be careful.

I can t stress enough how disappointed I am in the service. After falling life threatening ill abroad I was supported by a very helpful advisor. But once returning home and submitting my claim, it has been hell and I am being ignored after providing evidence from several medical professionals of how severe my sickness was. So severe that I was admitted to hospital in the UK and have been sick on several occasions due to stress. I am taking legal action as this is unacceptable, especially after opting for a premium insurance.

My advice is who so ever use Rock insurance or Leisure Gaurd insurance ( They use Global response for claim handler. ) My experience about Global response is very bad ) I fact I am intending to involve Media .

After a parent unexpectedly passed away from chemotherapy complications days before our holiday we were dealt with in an incredibly unprofessional manner. Please read up before even considering this company.
