great hotel, great experience, all employees were great

This mid-range hotel is a former stand alone Best Western that was purchased by the InnSuites folks and turned into one of their usual, solid hotels. In this case, not much had to change since this hotel is oddly very similar in look and feel to their Tempe property. As with that one, the same plus and minuses are true - great free hot breakfast, simple but appreciated after happy hour with a couple of free drinks. Those are the pluses. The minuses include the location - there isn't much around so unless you have a car you're in for a long walk or bus ride if you want or need anything. And the price is often way too high. It's a nice part of town but this place isn't worth a high price. If you can find it on sale (it's often featured on Hotel Tonight) and have a car, it's not a bad choice.

On our recent stay when we were settling in at 8 pm the TV's picture on every channel was all snowy. After calls to the office and assurances it would be fixed, at 9:30 we informed the office we were unhappy, but going to bed. When checking out the issue was brought up and we were told that we "canceled" the service call and because we booked through a "third party" they couldn't compensate in any way. Unsatisfactory response.

It was nice! I didn't stay here but the rooms looked clean

Staff are overly friendly with the guess (sexual relation), witnessed staff stealing. Management Is fully aware of these things but choose not to do anything about it. Beg bugs problems. Trash is never taken out as needed! Would give no stars if possible. They need an over make over. Spend your money somewhere worthy!

It has a fantastic heated pool and the breakfast is great. I really liked the coffee, and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely stay here again!

Great hotel great experience! Social hour with complimentary wine, beer, soda and nachos every evening. Awesome Shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower (don't need to bring it) beautifully decorated rooms. Smoking area. Free breakfast every morning with biscuits and gravy, eggs ,waffles, bagels,cereal, potatoes, yogurt and much much more. Pat at front desk is awesome! Staff is super friendly. Hubby and i went for a weekend staycation to just relax. We ate at taco mich (5 minute walk) and had margaritas. $4.50 margaritas! Free morning news paper in lobby. Just so much good things to say about this location . Defently will be back again.

Reasonable for the money. Refurbished clean and comfortable. Good breakfast buffet with plenty of room.

Very clean but okay service not 5 star but it's all around good

On May 22, 2020 my daughter, her friend (Amanda Hughes) and Amanda's mother and I were arriving in Barcelona Spain. We had reservations at Best Western Alfa Aeropuerto: Confirmation #843634518. We had reservations for one night. The next day we were to board MSC Cruiseline heading to France, Italy, and back to Barcelona. Due to Covid-19, everything was cancelled. Amanda inquired with the hotel about refunding the reservation fee. She was told no she would have to re-book. Not a credit to any Best Western in the future. Just no. We all live in the United States, coming from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Phoenix, Arizona. I believe the hotel reservation for two rooms was $234.08 EUR. To tell people that they cannot get their money back from a trip that we may never take due to Covid is short sided for Best Western. If this is how you conduct business, you have four families who will never stay at a Best Western again along with their friends. Be professional and return our money.

Property has experienced major upgrade overall. Rooms are inviting, comfortable and really nice looking. You will be impressed for the price when you open the door! New tubs even have whirlpool system! The truly comfortable bed comes with a selection of pillows like a cruise ship! And the bedding consists of multiple layers of sheet, light cover and warmer blanket if needed so you find just the right warmth of cooling for yourself. Convenient desk area, free wi-fi, parking, great pool and so on. The room is loaded with a variety of towels of all shapes and needs. You won't be calling housekeeping for them. Convenient shower wall shampoo, wash gel and more. Complimentary in room coffee, good lighting, high quality curtains, shades and blinds. Breakfast well stocked and fresh. Best scrambled eggs I've ever had in a hotel. Moist and fluffy. While speaking with others I learned this property has a high number of loyal return and regular customers. The staff clearly enjoy their jobs and are consistently upbeat and enjoy welcoming their customers. Bottom line is you are getting a great value for the price. Give them a try! You;ll certainly return.

Heater didn't work. We had to move to different room. Breakfast are like saw dust. The staffs are wonderful.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Inn & Suites in Phoenix. We liked the hotel staff, the suite, the pool area, the location, the cost, and the wonderful breakfast. Unfortunately, we were not able to take advantage of the happy hour special due to dinner reservations. We will absolutely stay here again on future trips.

They were doing some remodeling there when I stayed overnight...the front desk very accommodating very polite... the room was very nice... will be staying there again!

This hotel has everything you could want for a restful night sleep. Excellent handicap facilities, clean everywhere,, nice, friendly staff and quiet area. One thing I found very unsettling is they don't automatically upgrade their Diamond Select Members. They must not have any idea what it takes to get to Diamond Select level. From experience, 14 to 16 days a month of staying at a Best Western. Also their little gift area has tons of wine bottle their in Idaho and a couple of small cedar boxes, a few juices and maybe 8 or so snacks. Since you are so far from any eating places except Burger King, put some other snacks in the establishment.

This is the second stay at this particular Best Western. It was great. The staff was friendly and caring. The hotel is convenient. The breakfast looked fantastic, although we had breakfast planned so was unable to test. But it looked good with many choices.

The check in was excellent. As was the check out. The room was great. The location is great. The price is right. I have nothing but praise and I highly recommend.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, VERY COMFY BED AND PILLOWS. ROOM WAS CLEAN & QUIET. BREAKFAST WAS INCLUDED AND TASTY. CHECKED ACCOMPLISHED PLEASANTLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. EXCELLENT VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY. WOULD STAY AGAIN.

Great Location for me right in the middle of my business meetings twice a month.

Well appointed room, clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast, nice social hour.

The bad!
When I arrived to check in, there was no one at the desk, no sign saying they would be returning shortly. Finally a woman wandered from a back room, asking if I needed to check in, but her body language and lack of customer service tone of voice, told me she could care less if i was there. As we worked through the check in process I noticed she was glassy eyed and acted as if she was stoned.

The room was OK, I could tell it recently had new paint, and new cheap fixtures installed, however the installers were not craftsmen in any way, very sloppy.

The room had a musty smell about it, that by the next day had gone away after we had the HVAC running. Probably the fact the bathroom fan runs but does not suck any air out.

The breakfast staff were super friendly and helpful, they obviously understand how a kind word, and a smile make a customer feel welcome.

Overall, i would recommend this hotel, but would not give it much more than 2 stars.

Both my mom and my in-laws have stayed at this hotel which is close to our condo! The hotel is clean, it has convenient parking, and Noel in the front was very friendly! It s also right off the 51 and Northern which is a quick commune to many amenities in Phoenix!

They also have a great breakfast from 6-10am! It included: scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, waffles, yogurt and granola, cereal, etc.

If you re visiting Phoenix, I highly recommend this hotel!

Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast was between mediocre and ok.

VERY FRIENDLY STAFF! VERY CLEAN AND WELL MANAGED! NUTRITIOUS BREAKFAST! WE STAYED DURING SPRING TRAINING, SO QUITE EXPENSIVE! WELL DONE FOLKS!

The construction of the hotel was far more important than the care and comfort of guests, as evidenced by placing me in a room for multiple nights in the middle of heavy construction and drilling with deafening noise when the hotel had empty rooms away from the construction. If climbing stairs matters to you, there are only stairs rather than an elevator to get to the second floor.

1st time visitor and it was great! Staff was friendly and very welcoming. They made sure to accommodate you. Rooms were perfect and beds were comfy! Breakfast was phenomenal. Better than most restaurants! I wont name them. Lol. If your in town, stay here. The view around the mountains were a sight to see. And if you have time, go hike! Weather permitted. 5 stars!

By far thd best services and place ive been to for accommodations we were looking for and for price. The people at this establishment are well trained and know how to put the customer first. We felt comfortable and its awesome. Definitely recommend for future visits. Especially because they are remodeling the whole place. Not that it isnt great already but no complaints on installing goodies to spruce up the joint. I give them 100% great review and telling all my friends.

The hotel was very good over all. The only issue was the controls to the heating system were broken so it stayed at the temperature that someone set it to - which for me was cold............. If that part was fixed - I would say this is a very good hotel to stay at.

OMG this place was awesome I loved it here a must stay when in north Phoenix.

Great place to stay. As a business traveler I look for things like Comfortable bed, pillow, Cleanliness, Professionalism, Property is properly groomed to looks pleasant, Staff is helpful/ friendly, Internet works, its smells good inside the unit and there are enough plugs to access for my electrical needs. Breakfast has something for everyone. This property has it all. It is very convenient to SR51. I WILL be staying again and highly recommend.

This was the first time staying at this Best Western. What a nice experience. The people at the front desk, even though she was waiting on other people too, made me feel so comfortable and welcome. She took the tome to explain everything to me.
The room was clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend this place. And for the money, you can't beat it.

Improvements being made to this property to update facilities. Staff is very helpful and pleasant. Very good breakfast area. We have stayed here many times over a 15 year period. Close to some very good restaurants andgood hiking areas.

Just stayed again, another 5 stars.
When traveling to Phoenix this is the only place to stay
Once you stay here you will be spoiled

The carpet was not clean around the edges. The microwave was dirty when I went to use it. There were usually no towels by the pool. Rather dirty in the breakfast area, fingerprints on a mirror in there and the laundry room had dryer sheets all over the floor. The breakfast was put in a container and put out the next day.Small children roller blading outside our doors in the morning. Cleaning staff would not speak English to us. Some were nice. I do want to say that the beds were very comfortable and the little social hour was nice.We will not be back

Price, location and (most of all) one of the kindest staffs I have encountered . This hotel never ceases to amaze me who are kind and friendly. If you need to stay in North Phoenix, this is the place to be! Close to the 51. Well furnished. Nice (smaller, but very clean) pool.

This Best Western has been a perfect location to visit different baseball fields during spring training. Along with a good breakfast they also have a decent happy hour with beer, wine, and snacks offered.
The staff is always helpful and friendly and the rooms are large and comfortable. A large hot tub and pool are also available.

Nice place, go location with plenty of restaurants nearby. Recently remodeled.

Extremely friendly staff, but the rooms need quite a bit to be desired, dated and rundown at best, definitely in need of a facelift.
On a scale of 1 to 10 they fall in the Yuck rating, the bedding appeared to be as old as the hotel and possibly on the bed for that amount of time also.
$169 for a night and we elected to sleep in our clothes SMH

Patty at the front desk is awesome and made my stay a breeze! Wish i had stayed longer but Pattys great attitude and customer service will drive me back! Kudos Patty! Your awesome! Suite was a lovely room. Convenient laundry facility on site. Breakfast was great!

The property is just finishing up a renovation, and the rooms are nicely updated and appointed. The only downside is that the rooms have a significant amount of road noise from local traffic, so if you plan on a quiet sleep you may be out of luck. Were it not for this I would definitely recommend this hotel; as it is, I don't plan on returning.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I stayed there five nights while in town for business. The windows are not double pained so it is incredibly noisy the walls are very thin I was woken up by the person next-door snoring and unfortunately the rooms were not cleaned well. There are plenty of beautiful hotels in the area so I would not recommend staying here

Loved Happy Hour. Great place to meet family and friends.

Nice facility. Very quiet area, but very difficult to find. No sign outside and GPS could not find. Very close to Cardinal Stadium, nice plus. On site laundry was a great plus for traveling. Breakfast the usual fare, but very warm juice.

Very friendly staff, very clean rooms, and breakfast is very good! so much to choose from. The employees are very quick to make sure there is enough food for everyone. We would definitely come back.

Place is being remodeled and everything is in disarray. Light switch only turned on and off the microwave. The only way to turn the light off was to unscrew the lightbulb. The room smelled very strongly of wet paint and we had to leave the door open the whole time we were here to handle the smell. The walls are pretty thin and noise from neighboring rooms and outside could be heard very clearly. The staff was really nice, but all around not a great place.

Hands down one of the nicest Best Westerns I've ever stayed at and I travel all over the country for work. It's a MOTEL but the inside looks newly renovated. Great location not far from lots of restaurants, shops, and plenty of hiking. Washer and dryer looked new too and staff was also very helpful. Overall, really impressed by this place.

Perfectly located central location for a perfect sized convenient business hotel with large very comfortable rooms, ideal business base with very convenient parking and plenty of qualified personnel. No, it is not a resort hotel, you get the morning buzz of people on the move enjoying the free breakfast buffet and preparing for that days meetings etc. Hotel staff and cleaning personnel are as constant as any 5 star hotel, without the aggravating interruptions to ask if they can help you, but make eye contact, you get a pleasant, "how may I help you". They won't interrupt reading the paper, or working on your lap top. What a concept, a staff who accommodates your needs and wants when you ask versus annoying interruptions.

You'll be out of your room and in your car (5 seconds) before most business travelers have even descended a first flight of stairs. Everything you need and nothing you don't, a fantastic hotel

Location was perfect, had access to freeway. Breakfast was great that we didn't have to go anywhere else to eat!! Loved the rooms too.

My room was dirty. Phone and light didnt work. Towels and blanket had stains. Found dead bugs in the light ! The pool had algea on the tile. Dont recommend! Will not be trusting another Best Western to stay at!
